Oh man... That's so amazing. I was marching with the Pasadena City College during the parade so I missed out on what the other bands sounded like. I got to see the whole flood of Storm Troopers at the end though! Then again, it was amazing seeing people screaming from rooftops asking for us to play Star Wars, and once we did, they cheered! So amazing...
501st is awesome. Why are some people saying that these guys have no hobbys? I think this is a great hobby. They have a lot of fun and what they do is very construktive for society. They collect money for seriously ill kids for example. Would be great when they are marching goose step on a parade. Go forward 501st Legion!!!
@bitmap if you use a bass drum behind a platoon or a small company, even in a parade, they will hear it. also, since those were prop helmets, a bass drum would actually sound louder to the stormtroopers. this was still pretty cool though.
They looked spectacular. Its amazing that they all made their costumes seperately, and achieved such uniformity. Its so funny how theyre all different heights though! xD
People you do realise that the 501st carrying Earth flags is basically a message to us, "Earth is about to be a part of The Galactic Empire, and no you don't get a say in the matter".
The only thing I regret was that I did not get to go see this in person. Also the Emperial troops were "thinly stretched throughout the galaxy combating the rebel forces so probably the Ewoks faced the "also-rans" of the Empire even though the Emperor said it was "a legion of his finest" was sent to the forest moon. The Emperor though could have been bluffing.

Well you could buy a dark costume so it wouldn't stand out that much. Well you can't just bye such a costume in any shop since they have some guidelines on them. So a few details you would have to get elsewhere. But it's really worth it, trust me ^^

I live one block away, from Colorado blvd where this was held, you had to be there, very cool;) but the TV coverage was quite nice also.
