RJ Studio brings you a new podcast series called 'Mohabbatein - The Stories Behind The Artists'.
Now, when you hear this title for the first time, you might ask yourself:
What is Mohabbat?
Mohabbat is a term that means love, but not just simple love, it means the love of a lifetime. It encompasses all types of love, whether it be romantic, or towards art, or towards an idea, and the stories that stem from someone’s love is what brings our show to life.
The word 'Mohabbatein' sums up our series in more ways than one. The reason for that is that this series shines a spotlight on artists throughout history, spanning across generations.
In this series, we learn about the lives of these artists, we put on their masks and look at the world through their eyes, learning about their ups and downs, their successes and their failures, their muses, and their motivations. We get to see what truly inspired these artists, whether it be the love for their craft, the love for another person that inspired them, the heartbreaks in their lives that came from love lost, or the love for the idea of creating.
When we boil down to it all, the core emotion that is left behind is love or more aptly put, 'Mohabbat' and hence the name 'Mohabbatein'.
In the third episode, we delve into the story of legendary poet and writer Sahir Ludhianvi, and Padmashree awardee Amrita Pritam. The story of Sahir and Amrita consists of love, loss, patience, rejection, denial and so much more. We start this story at the humble beginnings of a young man by the name of Sahir Ludhianvi, and from there on, we learn about his family, his talent, his way with words, and how this very talent sets him on a journey that leads him to meet a young writer by the name of Amrita Pritam. But how does their exchange of poems, ghazals, and stories lead to them falling in love? How does it fuel their own art? Does their love flourish?

Mohabbatein, the stories behind the artists की पहली कहानी उमराव जान की लोकप्रियता के बाद हम अपने सुनने वालों के लिए लेकर आए हैं मोहब्बत की एक और कहानी साहिर अमृता की ज़ुबानी... आज के एपिसोड में हिंदी सिनेमा के सुप्रसिद्ध गीतकार साहिर लुधियानवी और पद्मश्री से सम्मानित लेखिका अमृता प्रीतम की आत्मकथा, जिसमें उनका प्यार है तकरार है और इंतज़ार भी है साहिर अमृता की पहली मुलाकात प्यार में कैसे बदल गई, अमृता कैसे साहिर लुधियानवी की शायरी की दीवानी हो गई, शायरी की दीवानगी कब इश्क तक पहुंच गई, दूसरी तरफ साहिर लुधियानवी अपनी मां की खातिर पिता से बगावत करते हैं और उनकी ज़मीदारी छोड़कर मुंबई में गीतकार बनने आ जाते हैं इस दौरान अमृता की शादी पत्रकार प्रीतम से हो जाती है फिर भी उनका साहिर से प्यार कम नहीं होता, साहिर और अमृता साथ जीने मरने की कसमें खाते हैं, लेकिन समाज, धर्म और दौलत इनके रास्ते की रुकावट बनने लगती है। साहिर अमृता इससे संघर्ष करते हुए अपनी मोहब्बत को आगे बढ़ाते हैं। सकारत्मक विचारात्मक कहानी, सुनिए साहिर अमृता की ज़ुबानी...
