That is how I originally learn to play. upside down. After a few years(20 or so) leaving the dark side and going true lefty. In the 70's not much choice.. Thanks for your playing and sampling. Just started playing again after a long pause and shoulder replacement. Then fighting nickel allergies. Picking and grinning. (mostly grinning)
I liked the E1D special the most though all sound good. The much more expensive e10 sounded thinner in the trebles but I guess the adi top needs time to open up.
Great useful video…thanks! I preferred the 10 D TC. A touch warmer and overall smoother to my ear. They all represent killer values. Next stop…compare them to a D-18.
In this video, I preferred the E-1D-special. It seemed to have much more volume, sustain, and balance. I find this interesting because it has a Sitka top as opposed to the E-10D which has the Adirondack Top, and they were both thermally cured. I liked the E-1D as my second choice as I don't like gloss top instruments.
I agree, the E1D-special really is a cannon. Bought one in my local store... played for less than an minute and I knew, I had to have it. These are amazing guitars, buy one if you can!
You did pretty well playing "backwards". I suppose as the owner of a music store filled with (mostly) right-handed guitars, you are not infrequently asked to demo them (and also just check them out when you receive them in shipment). So you probably have developed some "backwards chops". As a fellow lefty, I am very familiar with going into guitar stores and finding few (and frequently NO) left-handed instruments in stock. Most of us lefties learn at least a few "backwards chords" and a few "backwards licks & riffs". It's nice to see you usually keep a bunch of lefty instruments in your inventory.

Eastmans are spectacular. Not only goog value, but just good by all means. Love the sound of the TC topped ones

Thank you so much for this video! I'm deciding between these three guitars
Good demo are all on same light gauge XT strings? Same age strings? What is your thoughts on differences in sound/tone?
The E1D Special sounded best to me; the E10D is surprisingly underwhelming, for the price difference - sounds kinda "hollow"...
