It's almost like you don't think all the countries that have invaded Russia have also been invaded themselves, too. Britain and France had been rivals for countries, Germany invaded literally every country in mainland Europe, etc. Most of the nations in NATO and in Europe have at one point in history been enemies and invaded each other. Yet here they stand as allies for over 70 years. Even after the Soviet Union fell, NATO only ever grew bigger through voluntary means. European countries even reduced military spending to perhaps the lowest levels in their history. Countries conquering each other were supposed to be a thing of the past. Despite this, Putin deliberately made Russia an enemy. This doesn't make sense if he wanted Russia to never be invaded again. It's easy to see that post soviet Europe never had an interest in conquering Russia or anyone else, so why is he?
