Iggy in my experience has never been oppressive and alway thought it was a balanced creature, i dont understand why the devs couldnt do the same thing they did with lamb and wait until its tlc was ready before nerving its stats...
Agreed, in the community server I’m in. They’re definitely far from op. They could however have a chance at holding their own when faced with certain carni ( 3+ gasps usually shredded them quite easily though )

It now hits harder, can run for longer, gets a damage buff if youre using fetid scent and can even buff his own venom output by 50%. And his stam regen is still good despite being nerfed. So imo meg is in a better spot now than before, though I do agree venom should be stronger.
I played some kent today… it got absolutely destroyed. Turn radius nerf was too much. Everything else is ok. I couldn’t out turn and get behind a dasp in an open field, insane

Cerato is also a two slot as well and is just going to way out perform Kentro now (even with armored tail and thrash nerfs) simply because it can turn way sharper

@Khanware I think Allo should have gotten a damage buff to claw attack instead of the bleed buff, it needs a high-damage option more than additional bleed
Hatz got nerfed so hard this update preened feathers or flight Stam subspecies is almost mandatory now. I think devs also wants attack and armor subspecies to be used less to add more variety to Hatz

@@Khanware its tail hitbox is also really busted right now so you can’t even rely on iggy’s best weapon. I’ve given up playing it for the time being as a result. Actually I’m pretty sure tail attacks are busted right now in general. You should make a video on that.

I don't get the dev process... So last year they touted the "Combat Update" Yet here we are with characters STILL getting updated. I got torn to shreds in the discord for criticizing how Herbivores during the "Combat Update" were basically released unfinished. All they got were some slots. Now, the devs seem to be going dino by dino in updates. Leaving multiple characters completely broken (for better or worse). Thanks to stat and ability rebalances but lack of subspecies changes, Dasp is an outright extinction level menace. Thanks to stat changes and absolutely no gameplay/mechanic changes, Iguanadon is basically the new Amarg. Bars is just a literal cow now. Campto is an oversized gnat. Struthi TLC is nearly done so it's exempt for now. Stego and Kentro just are....kinda of there. Amarga can just prolong the inevitable. Meanwhile the bulk of the Carnivores have interesting kits, exciting gameplay styles, synergies, and roles. Some need a divine intervention (Allo, Metri needs Lamb's grouped up Call mechnic), yes...but overall they're in a good place.
Ik imma get hate by some people for this, but tbh iggy was too strong for what it was irl. Ik it was strong, but it was a medium-sized herbivore. Pre-nerf it was an actual powerhouse, the good herbivore version of allo. Pync also got a decent hp buff too, from 450 to 550. Also I think they fixed the death growth loss changes you covered in the last video?
I think iggy needed a slight adjustment, but what it got was a too harsh imo (especially without the tlc being available yet). And yes, they changed the death back right after I uploaded lol. I made a pin about it on that video

I would love to see a toggle-able stance mode for iggy just like lamb. I’d love if it worked similar to how Ark has it. Iggy could move faster and drain stamina slower running on all fours but not be able to attack with its front limbs (or at all), and then when it’s on its hind legs, it could use its thumb spikes to attack and maybe get a damage boost for the stance change
The Iggy nerf was absolutely unnecessary, it was a really bad dino for years, then got slowly buffed with the updates making it a balanced dino and now they are killing it again just to buff it half a year later. And Hatz nerfs are bad too. The removal of air peck is a good and healthy change but not buffing its ground capability’s is stupid.
Honestly iguanadon still feels very strong, imo the nerf is barely noticeable. I hated kentros before but I think they could’ve kept its max hp the same but everything else is ok as of right now. I hope they increase heavy bite’s cooldown on dasp to 10 seconds like mega instead of 2 though because dasp, as a dasp lover myself, is really overtuned right now lol. Bone snap could also recieve the same treatment, but it might need a little less or more time on the cooldown depending on what the devs want to do with it. 5 seconds at least cooldown imo but 10 seconds would be ok too.
Charge should either be changed back to how it was, or made so that you can still tap-charge, but you need to hold it for 0.75s to 1s for it to max out.
No herbs deserve a nerf they should all be much stronger than carnivores since herbs are rarer for players and carnivores should have to group to beat them
Stronger? Not always. Much better stamina? Absolutely. Herbs weren’t always stronger, but they use their superior stamina to outrun or outlast carnivores during hunts. Think cheetah and antelope. The cheetah is faster but can’t maintain top speed for that long, it will tire much faster than the antelopes will :)

if I had to pick the one thing I hate the most about this game, it's easily the balancing. PoT's balancing approach seems to be "is it fun to play? better overnerf it!" Iggy was a walking meal for years, and now that it was decently strong, they made it a walking meal again... I wish they'd at least hold off on the nerf until the TLC is actually there instead of leaving it in such a weakened state with no compensation and that horrendous thumb spike hitbox. (and watch. people are still gonna walk right into its kick attack and complain it's somehow too strong)
Fully agree, I really dislike how they aggressively nerf BEFORE doing the tlc. Just ends up making dinos unplayable for months before they get around to the tlc
yer kent needed the nerf sadly, server i play on has tornys at times and for the last 3 IN A ROW kent has won aginst all other teri 2s(they are teri fights so no raptors fighting rexs) i made it to the end round in the 1st one as alio and knew i had lost becuse i was facing a kent. kent got mad at people in the chat saying i should of done this and that becuse they also knew how screwed i was. nothing i did would of won that, but now at least other teris 2s have a chance of standing well, a chance edit holy smokes that haz skin at 3:00 is beautful

Honestly, the removal if Hatze air peck was one of the DUMBEST changes in the game, the only thing making flyers op was precise movement in the air. So they could just disable that instead of having to over nerf flyers for simply playing well (Moraquile). This is gonna be a shocker but pterosaurs, CAN'T FCKIN HOVER IN PLACE ANYWAY! and they also DON'T FCKIN ATTACK WITH THEIR WINGS! just disable air precise movement, boom problem solved! Edit: They could change the animations of hatze's air moves to be more realistic, like make Flail have hatze wildly swing its beak around, and Barrel Roll a dart forward instead
I'm also really not a fan of all the wing attacks OR collision damage in general. Hatz would most certainly shatter its neck and spine if it rammed into anything mid flight. They've really steered away from realism with all the recent updates
Yes it's fantastic, you just have to use it correctly. I actually used it in part of a clip in this video. I was able to kill a rex, a hatz, and 2 dasps that all attacked me (dasps featured in the video) with a 5 stacked claw barrage in about a minute and a half
@@jasonlaverdiere9312 My advice is always use your bite if you can only get 1 or 2 hits in, and if you think you’ll get more, that’s when you should stack claw barrage. You really only get value after 3+ hits
@Khanware that's exactly what I needed to know. I've been using the classic claw attack, but I haven't been getting a lot of value out of it. it works great in the water, but on land, I've been running out of stam, so this is exciting. I can't wait to deal out some real damage numbers!
Poor Iggy! My fav herbi. I really don’t know why they needed to nerf the cw by 1000. Devs have this weird thing something is either 5000 or 4000 cw. Only Amarg gets 4650 cw. They could have nerfed it to the same. Especially since Iggy has the old kit, if you are running speed Iggy that 10% defense loss will be much more noticeable with the hp and cw nerfs. It’s kinda stupid nerfing a Dino that’s obviously not up to date like the Dino’s that have been changed/or new Dino’s. Good job devs 👎🤦♀️
Yea Kentro deserved a nerf .... but why so much? I mean less bleed and less turning would affect alot. They added the stomp for Apexes that make Kentros think twice. Also every normal player would know that a tail attack on kentro deals good damage since it will hit his head area most of the time. Affecting his turn radius would allow hitting more on his head also. His health now is basicly a Sarco 1 shot (ambush with charge bite) what totally sucks. Reducing health recovery is fine. I just overall dont like touching unique effects like the bleed ... They buff Allos like crazy (and ye they needed a buff) on his bleed but kentro with way less combat weight get a nerf ? Stego is basicly a free snack and now Kentro is too ._.
Kentro really sucks now, they went too hard on nerfs. The turning radius nerf is what did it for me. I can play around the damage reduction, lower max hp and longer recovery, but I cannot beat turn radius. Completely ruined Kent imo as things MUCH larger than it can now out corner it

I didn't put Allo on the list because fundamentally it didn't really get any better. Claw bleed damage getting better is the only noteworthy change. Hatchet bite is still useless because if you run it, you lose your only real source of damage. Allo got second-handedly better through the nerfs of other dinos this patch (kentro, cerato, achillo, etc) which is why it's running more unchecked at the moment
Allo needing a turning and speed nerf is ridiculous, it's as good as it needs to be right now. To have good turning, you need to equip turning abilities, which means either sacrificing tail attack or -30% stam regen, and if you want to be decently fast, you gotta sacrifice the benefits of turning abilities, or lose more defense. Just because it is good doesn't mean it needs a nerf lol

@@tomaszszyjanowicz2650 What are you playing on? Not much can facetank a rex except for another rex... Face tanking is not the optimal strategy against rexes. Eo has far faster turning, rexes should be a fairly easy kill on smaller mid tiers, although larger ones (like allo) will struggle more
@@Khanware um i play on old giga and no mater how hard i try i always get them to death scars but never kill them cuz there turn in place is tooo fast and i lose to facetank og rex as basicly every other apex ( exept eo,og rex and sometimes if the player is bad pt rex although it might be the fact i'm just not to good at the game) but that's it ( they could buff allo finally tho)
I think the nerf was too strong. It needed some slight adjustments but 1000 combat weight off is bad. I used to 1v1 iggies on my kent pre nerf. Buff allo instead of nerfing iggy!

I feel Kentro got overnerfed. The damage and HP are reasonable, but all of that on top of a turn radius nerf just feels like a little much.

Definitely, preened feathers 100% should be used with the changes, hatz is still good, just not as powerful as it was

I think one of the next rework dino is for a iguano, a bipode mode same a lambeo, I think

So they could just disable that instead of having to over nerf flyers for simply playing well (Moraquile). This is gonna be a shocker but pterosaurs, CAN'T FCKIN HOVER IN PLACE ANYWAY! and they also DON'T FCKIN ATTACK WITH THEIR WINGS! just disable air precise movement, boom problem solved!
Edit: They could change the animations of hatze's air moves to be more realistic, like make Flail have hatze wildly swing its beak around, and Barrel Roll a dart forward instead
I'm also really not a fan of all the wing attacks OR collision damage in general. Hatz would most certainly shatter its neck and spine if it rammed into anything mid flight. They've really steered away from realism with all the recent updates

Yes it's fantastic, you just have to use it correctly. I actually used it in part of a clip in this video. I was able to kill a rex, a hatz, and 2 dasps that all attacked me (dasps featured in the video) with a 5 stacked claw barrage in about a minute and a half

@@jasonlaverdiere9312 My advice is always use your bite if you can only get 1 or 2 hits in, and if you think you’ll get more, that’s when you should stack claw barrage. You really only get value after 3+ hits
@Khanware that's exactly what I needed to know. I've been using the classic claw attack, but I haven't been getting a lot of value out of it. it works great in the water, but on land, I've been running out of stam, so this is exciting. I can't wait to deal out some real damage numbers!

Poor Iggy! My fav herbi. I really don’t know why they needed to nerf the cw by 1000. Devs have this weird thing something is either 5000 or 4000 cw. Only Amarg gets 4650 cw. They could have nerfed it to the same. Especially since Iggy has the old kit, if you are running speed Iggy that 10% defense loss will be much more noticeable with the hp and cw nerfs. It’s kinda stupid nerfing a Dino that’s obviously not up to date like the Dino’s that have been changed/or new Dino’s. Good job devs 👎🤦♀️
Yeah I really dislike how they nerf BEFORE doing the tlc. Iggy badly needs new abilities, and for the time being it's just stranded with the nerfs!

Yea Kentro deserved a nerf .... but why so much? I mean less bleed and less turning would affect alot. They added the stomp for Apexes that make Kentros think twice. Also every normal player would know that a tail attack on kentro deals good damage since it will hit his head area most of the time. Affecting his turn radius would allow hitting more on his head also.
His health now is basicly a Sarco 1 shot (ambush with charge bite) what totally sucks.
Reducing health recovery is fine.
I just overall dont like touching unique effects like the bleed ... They buff Allos like crazy (and ye they needed a buff) on his bleed but kentro with way less combat weight get a nerf ?
Stego is basicly a free snack and now Kentro is too ._.
Kentro really sucks now, they went too hard on nerfs. The turning radius nerf is what did it for me. I can play around the damage reduction, lower max hp and longer recovery, but I cannot beat turn radius. Completely ruined Kent imo as things MUCH larger than it can now out corner it

I dont understand the Iggy nerf either.... Its not a hard hitting Dino. Now its a quick snack and the TLC that will probably compensate that combatweight and health reduce is not even close to release. Basicly fucked until TLC since allo and dasp ez snack it
I’m surprised that allo isn’t on this list. Allo is so much stronger now, I’d even argue that for once, allo needs a turning and speed nerf.
I didn't put Allo on the list because fundamentally it didn't really get any better. Claw bleed damage getting better is the only noteworthy change. Hatchet bite is still useless because if you run it, you lose your only real source of damage. Allo got second-handedly better through the nerfs of other dinos this patch (kentro, cerato, achillo, etc) which is why it's running more unchecked at the moment
Allo needing a turning and speed nerf is ridiculous, it's as good as it needs to be right now. To have good turning, you need to equip turning abilities, which means either sacrificing tail attack or -30% stam regen, and if you want to be decently fast, you gotta sacrifice the benefits of turning abilities, or lose more defense. Just because it is good doesn't mean it needs a nerf lol
The kent didn't deserve that bruh, nerf its health sure but why nerf its bleed and turn man. It can barley defend itself anymore
The turn radius nerf is what killed it for me. Everything else I can play around. It corners like a semi truck now

@@tomaszszyjanowicz2650 What are you playing on? Not much can facetank a rex except for another rex... Face tanking is not the optimal strategy against rexes. Eo has far faster turning, rexes should be a fairly easy kill on smaller mid tiers, although larger ones (like allo) will struggle more
@@Khanware um i play on old giga and no mater how hard i try i always get them to death scars but never kill them cuz there turn in place is tooo fast and i lose to facetank og rex as basicly every other apex ( exept eo,og rex and sometimes if the player is bad pt rex although it might be the fact i'm just not to good at the game) but that's it ( they could buff allo finally tho)

I think the nerf was too strong. It needed some slight adjustments but 1000 combat weight off is bad. I used to 1v1 iggies on my kent pre nerf. Buff allo instead of nerfing iggy!
