I’m actually perfectly happy going into the game blind. I trust Volition. But since you are spreading hype and not negativity, I decided to watch anyways because I want more positive Saints Row videos.
if you think this game is good your are not a fan of the old ones. or never played them. because this game is only graphics. buggy ones at that. the is a ripped off version of all the other saints row games. they stripped it of everything that was saints row. this game if for highschool kids that have no grip on reality.

Saints Row follows GTA in one thing and that's mediocre stories thing about both games is that you play them for different reasons Saints Row makes up for the mediocre story with enjoyable gameplay whereas GTA has deteriorated over the years because of GTA Online and the fact that Rockstar are just milking the game

V was pretty limited outside of the main stuff compared to San Andreas if you ask me. Only things they bother adding were mostly minigames and stuff the player's gonna get bored of fairly quickly. Sure, characters cutscenes and missions were great and iconic at this point but now days you need more to impress especially if you want to maintain the title of open world innovation which so many people praise Rockstar for.
I agree with what everyone else is saying, the gameplay looks great but if the story isn't that good, then I don't think I'll immediately pick it up. Saints Row 2 is still the best in the series in terms of the story, I'm worried they aren't going to match that game great story.
yep i think they need to go back to the more gritty dark part of gang life like they did in SR 1 and 2 i for one when this game will come out ignore most of the goofy stuff and probably costumise very little especially my guns i like them more realistic looking instead of bright pink I hope they also have unique gangs like they did in SR 1 and 2

A big problem I'm having with the game is that it's trying to hard to appeal to everyone, when you try to appeal to everyone, you appeal to no-one. So I'm in the not appealed crowd, it's not what I waited 8 years or asked for.
I am very hyped about this game although I’ve never played saints row. Just the customisation is enough to make me want to play it. The multiplayer and coop makes it even better

this looks like literally every Saints game and that's what I wanted them to follow because 4 was extremely dumb but the gameplay made up for it imo I'm just gonna ignore all of the negativity surrounding the game and pick it up later down the line

I mean, of course it's dumb. SR has always been ridiculous. 3 and 4 just abandoned the facade of seriousness in the story, and cranked everything to 11 and 17 respectively. They were a blast to play!
Hope there's a streamer mode, I hate how I used to be able to listen to the radio stations while driving in the old days of SR3 I used to stream. Rushing to the aid of my friends during an end game timer to the tune of "I need a hero" was the most fun I've ever had in a game and hasn't been topped yet. But then copyright had to get in the way, people had to start making money streaming thus getting the attention of the copyright police and causing a renaissance of fun group activity to become another televised corporation.
You streamers that think you're important enough to warrant a specific feature just for you lot, just shows how out of touch and arrogant you lot are. You don't deserve it. Mute the music.
@@Eradicatetheobvious Well for some it's the companionship, they get to hang out with a streamer and if that streamer interacts with the chat in a way that is talking to each one individually and build up a rapport with them. It's less about the game and more about hanging around like minded individuals enjoying something you've enjoyed yourself.

Saints row games have always been whacky and over the top with zombies and ufos. Saints row 3 was one of the worst I have ever played with lame ass story and I much prefer saints row 4 since I love comics and alien stuff. Not many games are like that out there. You have destory all humans but that isn't open world like saints row 4. I think saints row 4 should of been a gangsters in space - part 2 dlc for saints row 3 where its all acting. Plus my favourite will always saints row 2 then saints row 4. Plus saints row 4 has positive reviews on steam so the majority of players like the game.

It's crazy how everytime something new comes out whether it's music, games ore movies. Waves of people hate on it and say it's gonna be trash. Why can't we just enjoy stuff anymore. I think this game is gonna be really fun to just mess around with, I mean, the story from the other games aren't exactly top notch. While the first and second game had a decent story, the most fun part was dismantling the gangs, taking over the map and the mayhem you could cause. I hope they make a modern funny story though, with tons of real world remarks and fails.
are you kidding me! do you even remember the story? saints row 1 you get invited to the gang because you got mixed up in a gang war and almost died. saints row reboot, spoiled college kids who cant pay rent and want a new toaster so they create a gang. makes no sense. also saints row 1 and 2 had the best music to roll round to. sure graphics are not the best now days. but the originals where alot of fun and the character building was way better. also the story was grittier. i dont think you fully remember the og games.

I decided not to, but I've both heard and see how terrible this game truly is. But yes, I do indeed remember the original games, and judging by this reboot, it's a Disney version aimed for kids and people who have no taste in games. It's a lazy attempt at reviving something that should've been left in the grave. Hopefully they took the backlash at heart, and if they make another reboot, that they make it properly like we know it. But honestly, I'd rather it would just be left alone.

It was $42.99 for the longest but I think it dropped down because it wasn't selling very quickly, but if that pre-release character creator is as good as it looks like it might be, they'll be raising the price.
This game still gives me Watch Dogs 2 vibes - and I mean the *bad* kind - so I'm holding out on this... That said, I AM still intrigued enough to give it a look when it comes out
This game went from meh to the top of my list. Can't wait. As someone that actually really loved Watchdogs Legion, this is giving me feelings of that game, minus the recruit any random person on the street part.

@@djkoz78 It's mentioned more in terms as the kind of issue some of the new crew are facing (I'd guess either Eli, Neenah, or both probably are in debt) but from what's been said it seems more along the lines of a contextual thing. More along the lines of being part of the why they are struggling which then leads them to the decision out of desperation to resort to crime. It's not a matter of "I need to pay off these loans, welp time to start a gang" so much as "for this and various other reasons I'm broke and I can't manage to dig my way out of it" at which point crime becomes a means to an end in order to survive which then leads to the eventual building of the gang alongside other characters who are in a similar boat. Basically replace student loans with any other reason someone might commit crimes due to financial difficulties and it's the same basic idea.
I've just gotten into Saint's Row this month and it's so good!! I've played SR4 and playing SR 3 Remastered. I love all the side activities especially all the Prof Genki related stuff. Excited to see what's in the reboot

This is one I'm going to wait for the reviews on before purchasing because I'm just not too sure about it yet. I liked SR3, didn't care for #4. This new one does look crazy. You can do everything you always wanted to do in GTA. But the summer in general is pretty bleak for games.

My excitement has gone up quite a bit with all this info and fun you can do in this sandbox, it’s almost to good to be true! Which is what I will go by until after the game release since gamers can’t really trust anything in todays gaming industry but I really hope that this games beat every expectation and become truly amazing
Played all the saints row games 1 and 2 are my favorites 3 is good 4 was OK. I'm excited for this one but I don't like any of the characters I've seen tho at all. Gameplay looks really good tho but I have extremely low expectations for the story
At the time when this game was going to release it was competing against Alden ring and a couple other Triple A games of course it's going to do well exactly right. Other than that I have very low hopes for this game
Compared to the first game where they were legit just trying to balance out the gangs and the struggle the second game where they got to taste of power and now they want more the third where they lost everything and are trying to get it back and the fourth we're just really went to s*** and student loans is a there's a story starter I guess

We need a cover system similar to Watch Dogs 2 or GTA 5 they need to get rid of the deal damage to gain health back and replace it with a cover system to use so we can take cover on doors,walls,cars etc that so be very beneficial to the game and bring something new

My biggest gripe on it so far is the non directional movement when you have your gun out. It just looks like it’s glued to your crosshairs and you can’t move your character in a direction different from where your camera is looking. I understand you “can”, it just looks goofy having your gun up and aiming almost the entire time

It was the overt SJW stuff they showcased in the initial marketing. It was the lead developers commenting about how they aren't "proud" of the humor and tone of the original Saints Row games and want to move away from it... so here's a diverse team of LGBTQIA+ hipster zoomers trying to build a criminal empire so they can pay off their student loan debt. LULZ!!! If this game had been The Boss, Shaundi, Pierce, Gat, Kenzie, Matt, Keith David, and crew kicking butt in some weird, alternate, toned-down timeline created by Gat's wish... with such said timeline gradually falling apart as The Saints naturally morph into the Batman villains they truly are, I would have pre-ordered on the spot. But it's not and I won't be. Take thy wokeness and shove it, new Saints Row. But hey, when they do re-mastered PC ports of the first two games, I'll check back in. Those I'm willing to buy, assuming they're not as buggy as the Saints Row 3 remaster.

You could also change your walking style in Saints Row 2. I’m glad they’re at least going back to deep customization.

It's crazy how everytime something new comes out whether it's music, games ore movies. Waves of people hate on it and say it's gonna be trash. Why can't we just enjoy stuff anymore. I remember waiting for a game to come out and being excited even if I knew it would be corny or not that good. We are WAYYY to picky now and spoiled.

Doesn't look better or very good at all, looks okay at best. With very questionable concerning themes and tones and characters and seemingly very outdated visuals and mechanics. And the ugly cringe Fortnite tone and colour and art style for a saints row game, is awful. I want this to be good, but I highly doubt it will. By all means, prove me wrong
I think this game is gonna be really fun to just mess around with, I mean, the story from the other games aren't exactly top notch. While the first and second game had a decent story, the most fun part was dismantling the gangs, taking over the map and the mayhem you could cause. I hope they make a modern funny story though, with tons of real world remarks and fails.
are you kidding me! do you even remember the story? saints row 1 you get invited to the gang because you got mixed up in a gang war and almost died. saints row reboot, spoiled college kids who cant pay rent and want a new toaster so they create a gang. makes no sense. also saints row 1 and 2 had the best music to roll round to. sure graphics are not the best now days. but the originals where alot of fun and the character building was way better. also the story was grittier. i dont think you fully remember the og games.

But yes, I do indeed remember the original games, and judging by this reboot, it's a Disney version aimed for kids and people who have no taste in games. It's a lazy attempt at reviving something that should've been left in the grave.
Hopefully they took the backlash at heart, and if they make another reboot, that they make it properly like we know it. But honestly, I'd rather it would just be left alone.
I managed to get a pre-order for this for just $30, and the dumb fun that I can have with the customization alone looks worth that much, so I'm good.

It was $42.99 for the longest but I think it dropped down because it wasn't selling very quickly, but if that pre-release character creator is as good as it looks like it might be, they'll be raising the price.

It's not the gameplay that sucks is the characters and story. A group of ridiculous college kids start a gang to pay off student loans. How effing ridiculous. I'm assuming they'll be committing very serious crimes including murder, extortion, arson, terrorism but think they'll get in trouble for not paying off their student loans. Makes sense.

@@djkoz78 It's mentioned more in terms as the kind of issue some of the new crew are facing (I'd guess either Eli, Neenah, or both probably are in debt) but from what's been said it seems more along the lines of a contextual thing.
More along the lines of being part of the why they are struggling which then leads them to the decision out of desperation to resort to crime. It's not a matter of "I need to pay off these loans, welp time to start a gang" so much as "for this and various other reasons I'm broke and I can't manage to dig my way out of it" at which point crime becomes a means to an end in order to survive which then leads to the eventual building of the gang alongside other characters who are in a similar boat.
Basically replace student loans with any other reason someone might commit crimes due to financial difficulties and it's the same basic idea.

I've just gotten into Saint's Row this month and it's so good!! I've played SR4 and playing SR 3 Remastered. I love all the side activities especially all the Prof Genki related stuff. Excited to see what's in the reboot

This is one I'm going to wait for the reviews on before purchasing because I'm just not too sure about it yet. I liked SR3, didn't care for #4. This new one does look crazy. You can do everything you always wanted to do in GTA. But the summer in general is pretty bleak for games.

My excitement has gone up quite a bit with all this info and fun you can do in this sandbox, it’s almost to good to be true! Which is what I will go by until after the game release since gamers can’t really trust anything in todays gaming industry but I really hope that this games beat every expectation and become truly amazing
Played all the saints row games 1 and 2 are my favorites 3 is good 4 was OK. I'm excited for this one but I don't like any of the characters I've seen tho at all. Gameplay looks really good tho but I have extremely low expectations for the story

Compared to the first game where they were legit just trying to balance out the gangs and the struggle the second game where they got to taste of power and now they want more the third where they lost everything and are trying to get it back and the fourth we're just really went to s*** and student loans is a there's a story starter I guess

We need a cover system similar to Watch Dogs 2 or GTA 5 they need to get rid of the deal damage to gain health back and replace it with a cover system to use so we can take cover on doors,walls,cars etc that so be very beneficial to the game and bring something new

My biggest gripe on it so far is the non directional movement when you have your gun out. It just looks like it’s glued to your crosshairs and you can’t move your character in a direction different from where your camera is looking. I understand you “can”, it just looks goofy having your gun up and aiming almost the entire time

@@tateparker8112 Aiming? You don't aim when you have aim assist. This developer makes all of their games with aim assist and no option to turn it off. Play sr3 remaster if you want to see what it'll be like, it's a carbon copy

Yeah... don't care, really. It wasn't the gameplay that turned me off this thing (heck, I even liked Agents of Mayhem). It was the dumping of the fan-loved legacy characters. It was the overt SJW stuff they showcased in the initial marketing. It was the lead developers commenting about how they aren't "proud" of the humor and tone of the original Saints Row games and want to move away from it... so here's a diverse team of LGBTQIA+ hipster zoomers trying to build a criminal empire so they can pay off their student loan debt. LULZ!!!
If this game had been The Boss, Shaundi, Pierce, Gat, Kenzie, Matt, Keith David, and crew kicking butt in some weird, alternate, toned-down timeline created by Gat's wish... with such said timeline gradually falling apart as The Saints naturally morph into the Batman villains they truly are, I would have pre-ordered on the spot. But it's not and I won't be. Take thy wokeness and shove it, new Saints Row.
But hey, when they do re-mastered PC ports of the first two games, I'll check back in. Those I'm willing to buy, assuming they're not as buggy as the Saints Row 3 remaster.
