The triple Unite set is a bargain £207,000. Yes it's a rare coin but even at hammered coin specialists, I've seen them a lot less for an AU50 example (most are raw to be fair).
You mentioned the set a couple of weeks ago and I’ve noticed quite a few sets cropping up regularly now. It’s like they’ve found some old tat in the basement, packaged it and flogging it at 3-4 times the actual worth. A poor look for collectors worldwide.
The video was pretty interesting, that they provided with it. Though I was a bit confused why they bizarrely didn't review, and go into the history and details, of the most valuable part of the sets - the boxes.
The Royal Mint are, of course, free to charge whatever they like; the best thing that we can do as collectors is to vote with our (virtual) wallets and give these a swerve. I can only assume that RM are convinced that there's enough folks out there with "more money than sense." In which case, good luck to them, I guess!
Wow another overpriced piece of rubbish from the royal mint (surprise, surprise). Lacking effort, a reasonable price point, and any basis in reality. Well done again to the royal mint, way to lose yourself respect and customers (mine included). Shame really, they have some nice designs but every year they show to me that they are more interested in cash grabs from unknowing or first time investors, rather than respect and priding themselves on delivering stunning, high quality, and well designed products!
@@BackyardBullion Thanks, I hope so too. Time for a reality check and some real effort with overhauling their quality control and other production stages as they have had many years to sort it out. The issues aren’t even as common as 1 in 4 new sets produced (which is still absolutely outrageously bad for a mint with as much money as they have) for having a large amount of faulty, defective or bad quality products sent out. It is amateur level stuff, and you would think that they wouldn’t be so arrogant to think that people will keep putting up with their shenanigans and keep funnelling money straight into their deep pockets. I am open to being a customer again in the future but I refuse to do so while they turn a blind eye to bad practices in order to rinse their customers for as much as they can milk them for, believing them to be too stupid or stubborn to stop buying from them and take their business elsewhere. Great vid as always btw!
Most manufacturers will generally sell products between 3 and 5 times cost. Once you have added printing and packaging, then their pricing is probably about right on the first selection. Ultimately, they have to pay for a building, pay people etc. They have a cost to sales which you are not considering.
My impression of The Royal Mint is that they're one of these woke organisations that say the right things and give the impression that they care about their customers and what they think - but their actions tell a different story. So, I'll eat my hat if you get a response from them, BYB. The quality of their products is woefully inconsistent and now they're flogging tat like this. Oh how the mighty have fallen!
I do enjoy a confident honest review in a country where standards are slipping right across the board!
From the top down.
Thats an expensive bit of cardboard 😂
Sure is!
Hi BYB, great video and great title. Very informative for buyers not streetwise
5:55 I agree. Great video.
Great video, couldn’t agree more
Glad you think so!

That coin set is honestly a load of bollox.. Thought the myths and nonsense series was bad.. 🙄🙄🙄🤣🤣🤣

yea, it's what I'd expect to see in ebay mystery grab bags, not products straight from the mint!
The royal mint should just stick to new coins, that's what they're best at
Yep royal mint screw over I can’t even sell a ms64 sov for the cost they charged me. lol.
Ouch, I bet that was near £1000?
If u go metal detecting you will find much better, and for free and enjoy doing it as I do. BYB love the videos as always . ❤
Will there be a Currency of Peace Set soon? 🙂

I do agree with item being extremely overpriced.
It looks like the contents of my bedroom drawer!😂
Is this how there are solving there milk spotting problem? 🤣🤣🤣
Probably
Glad your throwing the spotlight on this tat, theres plenty of other "mints" pumping out useless tat, you don't expect it from RM

Well said - I hope someone from The Royal Mint reads this!

Nope, disagree. This is a rip off product designed to be exactly that.

Lets say it as it is. This set is a rip off.
