Gore-Tex sent over this prototype jacket featuring all 3 of the new Pro Shell membranes in it. You can not buy this jacket (sorry!) but it is a great example of the new technologies working together.
The new Gore-Tex Pro Shell is 1) durable 2) 20% more stretch or 3) more breathable. Depending on the use for the WPB membrane, you will benefit from one (or all!) of these new Pro Shells.

Do you size-up with your Norrona shells? I tend to go one up for Norrona and Mammut fleece layers relative to say Arc’teryx and Patagonia. Do you apply the same logic with their shells? Thanks, and you have a very cool thing going here man!

@@Engearment Will do! Right now I am using the R1 Tech Face hooded fleece, with a Houdini Air Jacket. In my pack I have the Ascensionist jacket for really windy conditions. Looking forward to a shell that can replace both the Air and Ascentionist!

It’s not very similar to the pow slayer. In places, it is thicker. In other places it stretches. It’s a bit different over all. Though I appreciate the comparison to the Pow Slayer! I miss those bibs. But my good friend Wade is putting them to use in Silverston 🤘😎🏂
