Yeah its bad, and the worst of it may be that it's the only point in the expansion where something meaningful to the larger narrative happens (and that's just "aspects have their powers back"); but thats more the result of dragonflight being filler than bad writing in itself. But at least its not downright insulting like the ending to shadowlands was. Remember, the Jailer isnt the real bad guy despite basically being bald satan. At least its easy enough to forget the narrative in DF happened at least until Iridikron does something/Vyranoth is on screen.
I agree that DF ending sucks, but it might be because these last 3 expansions.. basicaly after legion.. it doesnt make any sense.. so i feel like with metzen back.. we´re following up from where he left off, so its basicaly, after legion (The War Within). So theyre setting up the ending to have a good start in the next expansion. Thats why im not playing DF and im just waiting for next exp. Legion being my fav expansion, i wanna keep going from there.
WoD was also bit odd. But scrapped content makes things always weird. However I don't feel like dragons will have significant relevance at first, unless Iridikron will be involved. I believe that they will shine again during Last Titan. But what do we know right?
People meme about this, but it truly felt like a breath of fresh air after the constant poorly written edgy storytelling we've been getting since after Legion. Dragonflight was just fun, nothing more, nothing less, than just an expansion where me and my friends could go in, do a bunch of side activities, have a laugh at the side quests and challenge ourselves in M+ and raiding.

It's fun, but it's not good when talk about history, and make me sad cause Warcraft have, like, infinity ways to make something epic. But I'm in peace, I have faith in Chris Metzen and what's he's going to do in the next 3 expansions.
I was talking about its main story that is happening during main patches and main characters of the expansion are involved, such as Alexstrazsa, Nozdormu and so on. I doubt any major dragon will have anything to do in reclaiming Gilneas for example.
I mean, Fyrakk is dead. The Aspects are aspects again. The only thing remaining is reforging Tyr quest which has yet to be released. The main enemy of Dragonflight, the primalists, are defeated, or atleast leaderless. Iridikron is obviously not in the picture right now so at best you have the Infinites potentially causing trouble, but with no major patch, thats obviously gonna be side quest territory.
I doubt infinites will do anything. It feels more like that story is concluded aswell unfortunately. And it was done in a way that fits the whole woke message they were trying to go for in later parts of DF which imo is very unfortunate..
