I give the power to him, which makes me the most powerful of all. “ 🥴🥴 Violence against women is never going to be anything other than violence against women.
This show sucks, but this comment is kind of stupid in a different way. Unlike what most people believe, women can genuinely get off on bdsm, they’re not just doing it to impress men. So if she knows what she’s doing and she’s having fun in the privacy of her own home, why is this your problem, The problem with everything sam levinson directs is that women never actually like sex. They just perform and tolerate it for men.
I wish you guys talked about Jocelyn's sexy song performance for the live nation guy who alluded to basically creaming himself after the performance then proceeded to call himself Jocelyn's "father figure" 💀💀 Sam Levinson needs to be investigated fr 😭
at first i thought jocelyn was letting him see her before the show as a way to say a final good bye and like "I don't need you anymore," esp with the new hairbrush if it was symbolic of her healing from her past and moving forward with people who can build her up without hurting her. but nope! women be lying and manipulating!!!
Sam and Abel making a plot about how female stars are often abused or exploited turn into a "women actually are the villains" even tho it doesn't even make sense in this show is just disgusting. and all the people who thought this show had some good deep message are so dumb
Gotta agree, the fact the creators thought they were so righteous and that for one second people wouldn't see through their disgusting mysoginistic fantasies disguised as a positive message is astonishing really. Really shows Sam Levinson's and weeknd's disconnect with reality
Jocelyn’s villian arc was so bland and anticlimactic. If it were a good show they would get the viewers to root for her and genuinely see her as a good person which would make the villian arc so much more entertaining. Instead she gave us NOTHING, possibly faked her abused, let her manager and best friend get verbally and physically abused by teddy bear tedros, then took him back after all he did. She literally overcame nothing! Whether the mc is a hero , villian or victim we are suppose to root for them or care for them in some way, the joker would be a good example. This was hot garbage.
@Charlieiscorrect. If you root for them, they aren't a villain usually. Joker 2019 was a horrible bland film and it's sad this is what people see the Joker as. A villain having charm or a sympathetic motive and time spent with them is what makes them compelling and sympathetic. I wouldn't go as far to say you want them to win although that's maybe not what you meant by root for
The transitions between state À to B were too rushed. I felt like so many things happened between episodes. They should have spent less time with the sex scenes and more time Actually telling the story.
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 I disagree. If we are seeing the story throughthe villain's eyes, I think you will root for them if the villain and story is actually well written. Or if the "good characters" are annoying and dislikeable enough. Like in the Midsommar movie, everyone wanted the friends to die, we were rooting for the cult to kill them all because they were such horrrible people to the main character. I think as a minimum, give me a reason on why I should root for them. How is letting herself get abused a master move? They needed that sixth episode to gaslight people and explain her decisions. This is just bad writting. They expect two brief scenes of a 5 episode show to be enough indication and foreshadowing that she's been faking her emotions the whole time.
@@pqm6383 no I wasn't rooting for the cult to kill them. That's sick. The cult is far worse than the people she came with. Agreed that the idol is bad writing you're hundo percent right there. Because of the stress and manipulation the cult creates, you, like Dani have no choice but to accept "they deserved it".
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 That's my point. The movie brainwashed you, just like Dani was. The cult is horrible, the worst option ever, she can never escape. But people still liked the ending because the friends were shown in such a horrible light. People were more happy that the boyfriend died than sad that Dani wasn't able to escape. As the storyteller you can make us root for any character good or bad, if the story is well told.

Didn't he already touch the hairbrush before?????? Also if you rewatch this show there will be absolutely no hints that she was in control the whole time. They really thought they cooked with this one.
This finale was so stupid, nonsensical, anticlimatic and just BAD. Like first we have to listen to all these songs and random grinding and then she‘s like MAKE SURE HE CAN NEVER COME CLOSE TO ME AGAIN and then WELCOME THE LOVE OF MY LIFE TEDROS with no hint that she didnt mean it the first time or anything. And then leia randomly leaves as well and that at the end was supposed to be her big emancipation moment? God.
There was absolutely no reason for Zander to still be around after what they did to him. Also was the purpose of making him complicit in Rob’s accusations so that we would forget that the show implied he was assaulted after the shock collar incident?
of course the dudes who thought the original script had "too much of a female perspective" would rewrite it so ACTUALLY the woman was a conniving harlot who gets off on being abused and actually manipulated the sensitive misunderstood man with a dark past into abusing her by playing 12-D manipulation chess with every single person in her life... cherry on top is that they dont even give an explantation as to why she'd want to act this way, are we just supposed to assume she was born evil??
I get the feeling that the original ending before Sam and Weeknd got on board was very similar to this with the two staying together but the subtext was drastically different. The show before this episode showed a woman who'd been abused feel empty after the abuse was over and subconsciously get into a relationship that mimicked that abuse to feel whole again. I got the sense that the intention of the show was originally showing how people can wind up craving abuse because their identity gets drawn up around it. As someone who did write music while being in a toxic environment, you get into the mindset that your music is only worthwhile because of the pain behind it, so when what causes you pain is over you feel an emptiness and lack of identity that makes you wish you had it again. I think the original ending was meant to have that subtext. And then they added the goddamn brush plot twist and the cheesy ass music to their reunion and ruined what would've been a powerful ending about keeping yourself in a cycle of abuse cause you don't see another way to live.
This is the most stupid plot twist I’ve ever seen. It makes no sense! Why would she even needs guy like Tedros? They implied she wanted inspiration though violence, because that’s what her mother did to her. But now they say her mother wasn’t violent. So what did she want from him?
What's funny about women claiming they knew this would be the twist... Either that's a sign of how $hitty/predictable female-aimed media writing is (I have ENDLESS list of examples) OR women are projecting something THEY would do because I 100% tell you men like me, Aaron, Jo (and MOST men) really didn't possibly think this is where it would end up. So which is it ladies? Is media "for you" just also this $hit or are you projecting something deep down in you? No the lie of the abuse, but manipulating a man WITH a lie of sympathy? Personally I believe both lol.
I think it would’ve been way more interesting if Tedro’s cult fought back against Jocelyn and decided to stay loyal to him, instead of just joining her tour without complaining. They were all fully indoctrinated literally an episode ago, and now we’re supposed to believe that they’re willing to kick him to the curb?
for the people asking why are aaron and jo watching the show when they don't like it, it's for us. so we don't have to sit through the pain of watching a full episode. they make it a bit more entertaining at least.
i must say i got more into this episode because jocelyn finally got control back and kicked tedros to the curb (or so i thought) but i’m just so confused by his character. he’s a cult leader, a pimp, he held a girlfriend hostage and tortured her, but now he’s just some hurt, submissive guy with his tail between his legs? and i’m supposed to believe that?? it doesn’t make any sense. this show just constantly made me ask myself “what are they trying to say?” it’s all over the place

Apparently they threw out the original script for being "too focused on a female perspective"....in a story with a female protagonist talking about the treatment of women in the industry. That's like watching a sea life documentary and then replacing 80 percent of it with giraffes.
And apparently the male perspective is "it's okay to treat pop stars like shit cause they're secretly evil."
Thank you for this
Also "it's ok to manipulate and take advantage of vulnerable women bc they secretly deserve it" 🤢🤢🤢🤢 Sam and Abel are sick in their heads
@@girl-fromthemoon I know! "Oh but she lied about the abuse!" Yeah and Tedros tortured people with shock collars. Getting trapped in the cult he started by the woman he tried to manipulate isn't tragic, it's karma. The only tragedy is that other people got caught up in their bullshit.
"Too focused on a female perspective" as if the majority of media we have weren't all focused on male perspectives...
This is my favorite comment. Well said
the way they filmed the concert scenes at the weeknd’s tour without telling anyone and everyone was super confused lmaoooo
lmao fr? 😭
I saw it from the crowds pov on tt 😂
@@nayaabshah1155 what’s the link to the video?
this makes it even funnier
That's actually so insane. Holy shit.
it makes me so angry that there is a false r*pe allegation and false child ab*se allegations in this show on top of everything because it’s already so hard for victims to come forward but overrepresentation of fake allegations in the media makes it even harder
What do you mean pls explain
Right!!! That’s the worst part of the show right now, because most misogynists believe that most rape and abuse stories are fake, even though that is completely untrue, so this show will encourage their hatred. So this plot point might be picked up by the red pill circles and used to encourage their delusions and criminal behavior. This show is EXTREMELY irresponsible.
Because false accusations don't happen? Lol.
@@HonkHonkler they represent a tiny fraction of cases, and most rape is still never reported, and when it is reported the attacker is never punished. Don’t let the one false story distract you from the 1 million that are true.
@@winxclubstellamusa No they don't lol. And nothing you say is going to convince me. I can have this debate, I have the stats and strong rhetorical arguments, but I literally don't care enough to. So we'll live it to agree to disagree. It's not more common, women THINK it's more common because being a victim is a useful tool lol.
The way Joce got back with him after literally hating his guts n demanding to get him out of her life forever just to make him beat her up again with the brush... like literally the show is doing exactly what it was "criticizing" from the very first minute: fetishizing mental illness n trauma
Now imagine how good it would be if Dyanne were the one who leaked the picture from the first episode or if she's the one teaming up with Robb or even Tedros to ruin Joss because she ruined their reputations and careers. Or if her Leia and Xander decided to expose all cult and make sure the public knows what kind of person is Jocelyn actually etc.
Seriously her character was useless to the story, we found from Choe that she was jealous of Tedros and Josselyn together and that's literally it.
So many things don't make sense. Why she gave money to her manager to bribe Tedros out of her life if she invites him on stage and why did they let it happen? How is Tedros not in a jail for years after being exposed for the cult? Why Nikki wanted to work with him? What was the point of the hairbrush?
im afraid youre never going to get answers bc this show makes no sense… like it hurts to watch this show bc its so bad
@@ee-yv7duI'm afraid that 20 random people would come up with the plot with less holes than this one.
if only you were one of the show writers, maybe we would have actually gotten some substance and cohesiveness in the storyline 😭
Nothing makes sense and I'm so mad, like dude, if she was lying about her mother wouldn't Lea know? like, isn't she her best friend who lives together and work together? how Lea didn't know Jos was a crazy person? Lea just vanishes and no one cares? So many plot holes is insane
the brush should look used because we literally watched her aggressively use it on herself multiple times, it makes no sense for it to be brand new.
i clicked faster than sam levinson could ruin a show 😅
The fact that this is sooooo true omg
Mhmmm.
😂
Omg 🤣
I don’t think you did. He ruined this pretty quick
This show feels like those cringe posts that say “yeah my boyfriend can only orgasm if he’s pretending to murder me but I’m the one in control.
@Bluebooty that's true but it's still written poorly
... what posts are YOU seeing lmao wtf nobody says that shit
This show isn't BDSM my guy. You are stupid in an entirely different way.
@@Beepbleep413I’m sure your onlyfans is drying up from men not paying you enoufh
Sam Levinson is actually a freaking genius. He really pushed the boundaries of how bad a Tv show can be.
What a completely nonsensical nothing ending, thanks for saving us from watching it guys! Appreciate your sacrificed brain-cells as ever!
I wish you guys talked about Jocelyn's sexy song performance for the live nation guy who alluded to basically creaming himself after the performance then proceeded to call himself Jocelyn's "father figure" 💀💀
Sam Levinson needs to be investigated fr 😭
He’s definitely committed a crime we need to get that man institutionalized or on a watch list maybe even both
what the fuck
Idk yall were drooling over euphoria saying it was so unique.

I love that Joss getting the hairbrush that her mom used to regularly beat her with refurbished is only *slightly* stupider than the actual twist.
it wouldve made more sense💀💀
It's the fact that they're speaking so intensely like something is actually happening meanwhile nothing's going on
at first i thought jocelyn was letting him see her before the show as a way to say a final good bye and like "I don't need you anymore," esp with the new hairbrush if it was symbolic of her healing from her past and moving forward with people who can build her up without hurting her. but nope! women be lying and manipulating!!!
Idgi tho how is Sam gonna make it seem like Joss lied when Xander vouched for her & said he watched her mom abuse her 😭
@@77rhxgej6 ikr i've been trying to think about that and all roads lead to that being a bigass plot hole
I feel so bad for Leah like everyone just tells her to shut up all the time 💀💀💀
Fr she's the only tolerable character and she constantly get treated like shit 😭
She deserves her own storyline
She was the only decent and loyal person on the show, makes sense that all the other snakes hated her for no reason😭
The badly written Wattpad nsfw has finally ended
they need to release the original version of this now with the female director i want to know how less nonsensical it would've been
#releasetheseimetzcut
That hairbrush “pLoT tWiSt” was the dumbest thing ever
Yeah I died and got reincarnated after watching that scene that is the most absurd thing
it's so goofy lmao i already know sam and everyone in the writers room were patting themselves on the back thinking it's so genius
This finale literally made no sense 😭 like what was that?!?!
It's supposed to be edgy , us peasants wouldn't understand
It feels like the writers wrote separate plot lines and just tried to stitch it together 😭
Ok glad to know my face makes sense after watching this video because wtf?
@letoottoot3827 that's technically what happened; they rewrote someone else's script to be less "female lead"
No clue, but thank the lord it's over!
the weeknd fighting in the trenches after this monstrosity of a show 💀
hope he never makes it out frrr 🙏🏻 this was the worst show ever 🔥🔥🔥
His own fault lol
i feel less bad for not getting tickets to his show lmaooo
The cult are the villains and you aren't supposed to sympathize with them. Well you kinda are. The movie is supposed to show you how the cult manipulates Dani. But you fall for it by the end.
Finally the torture is over, but watching it with you guys was so much fun
the 30 minute living room jamboree gives the same energy as eliot singing a whole ass song in euphoria
This is like a mysoginistic movie where the male protagonist who was a terrible abuser of people is shown as a "victim" at last and is not at fault and the female protagonist is villified, even though BOTH were extremely terrible people💀
Nice repost 👏
Copy & Paste comment
What aren’t y’all getting💀 they’re BOTH villians. They’re both manipulative roaches. There is NO victim

apparently they filmed that concert scene during an actual weeknd concert lsskksskkmsns
THANK YOUUU FOR WATCHING THIS HORRENDOUS SHOW FOR US😭🙏 i’ve really been enjoying your content!!
Dude why would two grown ass men just make a show about grooming women into doing whatever sexual indecencies they want just for the manipulator to be seen as a victim at the end UNLESS THEY WANNA BE SEEN AS VICTIMS FOR THE VERY ACTIONS THEY ARE PORTRAYING
I feel like the rushed finale actually revealed more plot points than the entire preceding 4 episodes. It’s such a failure of a show
plot holes you mean
Didn't he already touch the hairbrush before?????? Also if you rewatch this show there will be absolutely no hints that she was in control the whole time. They really thought they cooked with this one.
Seriously!
“She had it refurbished?” 😂😂😂
my favorite part of the show is when it ended
Literally the best part
that was my favorite part too!!
of course the dudes who thought the original script had "too much of a female perspective" would rewrite it so ACTUALLY the woman was a conniving harlot who gets off on being abused and actually manipulated the sensitive misunderstood man with a dark past into abusing her by playing 12-D manipulation chess with every single person in her life... cherry on top is that they dont even give an explantation as to why she'd want to act this way, are we just supposed to assume she was born evil??
No way did jocelyn choose freakin' Tetris straight after she yelled "im going to kill you"💀
I get the feeling that the original ending before Sam and Weeknd got on board was very similar to this with the two staying together but the subtext was drastically different.
Maybe they meant that her mom did abuse her, but not with a hairbrush - since her ex mentioned how she was always so careful around her mom
I cant stand the twist, i knew they were gonnna do it. "The victim was actually a master manipulator this whole time" sucks so much ass
IT ALSO DOEANT EVEN MAKE SENSE HERE??? He was torturing people when she wasn't even in the room! I hate both of them, I don't feel bad
they thought they ate with that one
What's funny about women claiming they knew this would be the twist... Either that's a sign of how $hitty/predictable female-aimed media writing is (I have ENDLESS list of examples) OR women are projecting something THEY would do because I 100% tell you men like me, Aaron, Jo (and MOST men) really didn't possibly think this is where it would end up.
So which is it ladies? Is media "for you" just also this $hit or are you projecting something deep down in you? No the lie of the abuse, but manipulating a man WITH a lie of sympathy?
Personally I believe both lol.
@honkhonk2250 You joking, right? 😅Right???...Who hurt you, bro?
@honkhonk2250 this is just barely female aimed. The reason I knew is bc its a really cheap twist that's been done a million times
The torture is over 😭, thanks so much you two for sitting through this for us. You guys are the real ones
So what purpose does Jennie's character have at the end of the day?
Honestly most of the characters served no purpose 😂
None, she was just in there to get ppl to watch the show
jennie’s scenes are so painful to watch
This show really feels like it was written for the writer’s pleasure.
The idol managed to top Game of Thrones for the worst ending of all time
for the people asking why are aaron and jo watching the show when they don't like it, it's for us. so we don't have to sit through the pain of watching a full episode. they make it a bit more entertaining at least.

The fact that they filmed the ending scene at one of the weekends actual concert is so funny to me. They said no paid extraa

You guys honestly deserve honor medals for going through the things you do. True soldiers.
i must say i got more into this episode because jocelyn finally got control back and kicked tedros to the curb (or so i thought) but i’m just so confused by his character. he’s a cult leader, a pimp, he held a girlfriend hostage and tortured her, but now he’s just some hurt, submissive guy with his tail between his legs? and i’m supposed to believe that?? it doesn’t make any sense. this show just constantly made me ask myself “what are they trying to say?” it’s all over the place
thank god for reaction youtubers who pussh thrpugh the whole thing like you guys. it’s thanks to y’all that i can keep myself in conversation about popular but awful things like this.
Damn Sam really wanted to depict men as victims and women as evil, calculated and conniving.. not only with Tedros but also with Rob. Basically showing how women "ruin their lives and they're truly the victims" 🤦♀️ 🗑️
You're saying they can't be those things?
I’m low-key still confused about how and why Jocelyn is a villain 💀 like the whole mother plot and the fake brush is so confusing what. Also how tf did Tedros stay at her house after she found out about him and Dyanne😂 what even
*Accurate representation of everyone trying to understand a single sentence of this show* 11:18
i like how at the end when shes at her first concert introducing tedros the set stage is just the weeknds actual stage for his tour😂 like the budget didnt allow for them to film at sofi on their own
Thank you guys for suffering through this for us 😭😭 I literally physically could not watch this myself
Ok but the whole thing about Jocelyn actually being the abuser and not a victim by the end and being a narcissistic liar feels REEEEEALLY fuckin weird considering who Lily Rose Depp’s stepmom was ☠️
Honestly, having a heavily publicized trial about your dad and stepmom’s abusive relationship and then acting in a show where the finale ends like this would feel bizarre and probably a little triggering.
I think this only clicked in my brain because Tedros’s messy rat tail wig with the bandana does fully remind me of Johnny Depp’s real hair sometimes
