- The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors 112-97 in Game 5 of The Finals and now trail the series 3-2. In the win, the Cavaliers’ LeBron James (41 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists) and Kyrie Irving (41 points, 6 assists) became the first pair of teammates to each score 40 or more points in an NBA Finals game. Klay Thompson had 37 points in the Warriors’ losing effort.

After this game 5 with LeBron score & Irving both ended up scoring 40+ was the exact moment when I knew that the Cavs were definitely going to take the next 2 games and be the 1st team in the NBA to come back from being down 3-1 in the NBA finals series. As a basketball fan, you've got to love Kyrie and Lebron's performance tonight. Doesn't matter which side you are on. This game also revealed to us who the most valuable player in the Warriors is. Defense wins championships, and without Green, Warriors cannot defend. Curry's gotta step up and contribute more for the Warriors, more aggressive to the basket when jumpers are not working and fewer turnovers. Finally a great series! For Warrior fans (me as well) out there, let's forget about how Green didn't get to play tonight (He may well deserve the suspension and he's got to stop hitting people's balls!!!), and see what the Warriors can do in Game 6.
