It’s almost torture watching these ads. They make you want the car so much, but you can’t buy them now cause they are so expensive. At least in my country. Such a great looking car.
If I had a time machine I would absolutely buy one of these absolutely gorgeous cars when they were so much more affordable (And of course paint her red)
Feb. 2017. I was gonna buy a '57 (stamped under hood '56) savoy. Swapped the 318 for a 70s ford 460. Hurst vertical slap stick. 2500 bucks. Didn't buy it. I regret it every second I'm living till I die. Or find another.
I love the accuracy of the Brake Test..two cars driving side by side and the driver steps on the brakes at the sound.....talk about an accurate measurement! lol
38 inches not 38 feet. I have a 1957 plymouth and for its time the brakes are actually exceptional!! They are light-years ahead of my original 1965 mustang brakes ill tell you that right now lol.
Well, if you want to see the greatest break test of ALL time everyone should get ahold of the 57 or 1958 Dodge JATO Rocket car commercial which ran on Lawrence Welk!!! They fire a rocket engine under a Dodge Custom Royal on the self flats and the car hits 130 mph they apply the breaks and sure enough the car does stop...once(!) Proof positive that Chrysler products are equal to all the other "wonderful" brakes of that era......
Sorry, no, it won't work because I've got youtube copyright and trademark projection turned on so if you try to upload here, it will give you a message that it's a violation. My films are exclusive to my channel. I spend a lot of money on this and I need the clicks to get googleadsense dollars. I even find my videos on facebook which then make me go thru an elaborate process to have removed. So sorry, no can do.
If you want to see the greatest proof of how great Chrysler Corp brakes are all you need to do is view the famious Dodge 1958 JATO Rocket car dodge commercial which appeared on the Lawrence Welk show that year. They mounted a Jet Assist Take Off solid fuel rocket engine under a Dodge Custom Royal and fired it off on the self flats. The car under 1000 to 2000 lbs of thrust hit 130 mph the brakes were applied and the car did come to a stop. Once. In truth, while Chrysler brakes had a poor reputation among mechanics at the time but they performed to my memory no worse that other binders of the era from GM or Ford.
@@area85restorations75 You're correct. I just looked it up, the Fury was a sub model of the Belevdere, basically a trim package, so the four door sedan and club coupe and four door hardtop were Bevedere....and a 2 door hardtop, but a fancier belvedere hardtop was the Fury in 58.....only 5303 were built
To drive any car 58 thousand miles from new none stop is much better for all running components especially the engine}} stop start without running temp is the worst damage to an engine imaginable .............Ed
Another benefit of owning a ‘58 Plymouth is that it stalks your enemies while you sleep and it does it’s own body repairs.
Lol!
Yup. i'm buying one.
They proved to me that it's a good car.

Of course the 58 Plymouth stays young! She can rebuilt herself over and over again!! ;-)
I'm SOLD!! Now to find a new 58 Plymouth! ..
Mopar forever
Ah, but how many of those 58,000 miles were driven backwards? Eh?
this must be one of those cars you can "drive anywhere"
Body by Plymouth , Soul by Satan
Chrysler doesn’t need to make a self driving car, they already made one 🤣
I want a new 58 Plymouth

Good times in Miami with all those "newsmen"
Well, if that doesn't prove that PLYMOUTH STAYS YOUNG I don't know what does! LMAO! Only 38 ft. Short on that break test were they for real back then?

Is it ok if I can reupload some of your Plymouth Valiant Commercials?

I didn't know they made a 4 door sedan fury
The Fury was only a 2 door hardtop in years before 1958, after 57 and thru 1989, the Fury came in many body styles.
@@OsbornTramain I have never seen a fury in anything else than a two door hardtop on a 58.
