Installing Chain on

Great video. Shortened to the point. My cover will not go back on. There is a small black plastic post that looks like it should move up or down and go into a spot on the but it will not move either up or down. It’s preventing the chainsaw cover from going back on that central screw.

Hi, if you havent figured it out. It's the chain tensioner. You spin that cog wheel until it aligns with the hole.

Hi i have the DUC407 model. Which is similar to this model. Fitting the chain n trying to tighten is a headache as I tighten vis the turning knob, but still comes loose.

Hi. Do you have to take the chain off to sharpen it? It will not spin round like the chain on a petrol saw.

Well how do you know how tight to tighten it? Mine kept popping off and Then I did it too tight , Then how about the oil?
