God , i miss this game so much , last week i've been talking to a friend that i used to play it with and we talked about the memories we had în this game
Whenever someone asks me about my favorite game, Skysaga pops into my head. Nobody I ever talked to knew it. And I feel regret not playing it for the full time I had access to it.
I have regrets about this game. I played one of the very early alphas, but didn't want to continue playing the newer, fun and exciting alpha versions. I wanted to wait until beta because all alpha progress was going to be wiped anyway. The cancellation was legit about a week away from the beta's intended release date. With no communication about it between Smilegate (the publisher), and Radiant Worlds (the developers) other than that they didn't renew the contract.
Respect for making a video about this game. I miss it. It got me into 3D graphic and man. I'd like to see it remade so much. But, I feel like it's too much work on 1-2 people. Especially with not many people knowing about it anymore. Anyways, I will be hoping for the best and that somebody will remake this game in the end.
To this day I wish this game didn’t end, it had such a solid foundation and was really really fun to play in my mid to late childhood years. I’ll always remember it for what it was, a really stylish and fun experience, one that I shared with a couple of buddies that I don’t even talk to anymore.
Tellement de souvenir reviennent. Un pincement au coeur quand je repense au plaisir qu'a pu être SKYSAGA. Plus qu'un jeu une idée de génie! Thank you for the video
every now and then i think about how entertaining it was to watch this game but unfortunately i never got to play it and i really hope that i can some day
It's crazy to see people going mad about the highpixle game when skysaga was literally that game like a decade earlier, I played skysaga a bit back in the 2010s and enjoyed It I think the art style is so much more appealing than the ducucraft look of highpixle, it literally just looks like moded Minecraft with joints added while skysaga really looked like a spiritual successor because it had enough unique elements and design choices to make it stand out on its own merits.
This game.... no matter how many gamesI play, I go back to I ALWAYS search back for this game it was i dunno just a better feeling Minecraft to me! I have just been hoping they revive it someday because NOW would be perfect for the game with F2P and everyone looking for a Minecraft successor :c
I recently started searching for the name of this game as i forgot it, and i used to play it a lot. But sadly I found out that it got shut down which made me extremely sad as it was basically my childhood.
sad today i finally managed to find the name again maybe someday itll return maybe someday (the statement at the end of it living in peoples memorys is very correct ive been lookign for this game for 8 years)
Freki's project Ember Skies is not going to be an exact recreation of SkySaga, but inspired by it, which is probably why Hex Art doesn't want to work with Freki. Also, there's the legal issue of recreating SkySaga directly as Smilegate still holds the IP.
Smilegate likely doesn't see the game as "profitable" and cut their losses. But being a greedy company, also doesn't want to simply give up rights to something they paid for. They're historically bad. At least Radiant Worlds (now Rebellion Warwick) have been able to work on other games. They made Strange Brigade, and, while I can't find any sources, I thought I recall them working on something new.

As an alpha tester for this game, it still hurts. I think about it every day like a lost family member.
Me too, friend. I remember playing the earliest versions of the game when there was nothing to do. We have to move on.

its a real shame seemed a lot of fun too!
rip skysaga, the sounds and polish were perfect. Even the song that played as this video ended was a sad song of loss.
that game i like a lot back in the days
😭 Every trip down sky saga memory lane has me in tears. I have alot of good memories of those days...
Man, I miss Skysaga.
Me and my friend had a lot of good times playing it.

ah I see
any updates on this? i really wanted to play this but never got to...i hope that i can play it someday :/
there is a sky saga reverse engineering project on going slow process tho
I do not understand why it is impossible to transfer the development to other people. And just kill a cool idea and that's it

@@xchronox0 OU! I managed to forget about it. They don't see because they don't look. Stubborn sheep.
SkySaga was renamed Portal Knights
you are not a bright one are you now ...
definitely not.
