yeah, it's strange to say pink isn't "real." it's real, there is just no single wavelength of light that corresponds to pink, but a combination of them at certain relative intensities. if i point to a pink object and say "look at that pink thing over there," i doubt someone would respond, "pink isn't real, there's nothing pink over there." we could both agree there is indeed a pink object over there, and for two different subjects to agree on something, it must have an element of objective reality to it. that is because what we are agreeing on is not just single wavelengths of light, but combinations of them with different relative intensities. i think the video conflates color to wavelength, when color is more complicated than wavelength.
Fun fact: The rgb system can create as much as 16,777,216 colors (red green and blue had 256 shades which means the total colors equals 256 raised to the 3rd power)
Extremely annoying that this video doesn't make the distinction between "light red" and "magenta", both of which are types of pink. Most of the pinks shown in the video are light red, which definitely exists just as much as any other saturated or desaturated color like dark green or light blue. The color that doesn't exist is magenta. Talking about color is weird when showing them on an RGB screen. WE chose those colors because they specifically line up with OUR cones.
