That subtle e4 to open the diagonal for the bishop and eventually secure the f5 square for the knight to win is the kind of stuff I need to see more. He knows he's got the edge, and just needs to perfect the position after the misstep. Love watching Firouzja.

I usually play e4 to open center against c6 setup because e4 will free up bishop and if E pawn is captured white will be up at least 2 tempo and black can't catch up in development and when Re1 is played is almost forced to castle and whites will be to active
I'm a big fan who thinks Firouzja's brilliant play was a bit underappreciated. I understand Nodirbek and Indian prodigies are the hot topics, but as a channel overseen by Mikhail Tal, öne might argue attackers and risk takers should also be noticed
I think most of us viewers and players recognize alireza as a very competitive super strong player It's just that majority of viewers don't comment it 😂
I always get a kick when these guys play the move I'm thinking about in any given position, then I remember that while I'm playing that one move, they are playing that move and the next 20 moves of every continuation from it
So the event took place at Intercontinental hotel, the best one in Bucharest 😀 People always go there to celebrate, or protest. Even the Romanian revolution started there in 1989.
As soon as I saw that first ...Qa7 move I knew it was lost for Black. It's way too passive and the queen's not doing anything there but babysitting. Nodirbek even moved his queen away then BACK to that same square, wasting tempi. The more important thing to have done was focus on challenging that center, because you can see by the end of the game Alireza completely controlled the center of the board.
10m 59s your unnoticed cracked record here with a reminder that a skewer is when you attack a piece and it has to move and you are able to take the one behind, and what we have here is a pin, where the queen cannot move and will be taken.
I remember Giri commending Alireja as he was the only teenager to have such high rating (2700+) but that was some two years ago... And look now where is that heartthrob of Chess gone...he is falling on his rating.. many others have surpassed him...We need him back
Of course, Antonio you haven't yet made a video of Fabi’s win against Alireza. Could you care to explain this heinous psyche you retain? It’s perfectly conspicuous the agenda you set against Fabi, for you are blatantly ascertaining your allegiance to defy any regard for Fabiano Caruana. I sincerely crave that this comment will forever modify your bearing on our great Fabi.
Hello. So, what I want to do with this message is to simply show what the Gospel is. I am not trying to force my belief down people's throats. It's your choice whether you want to accept it. Please read the whole text. So, a question: Do you think you are a good person? If so, have you ever stolen anything, lied, looked lustfully, watched adult material? All of those are sins and anyone who sinned is not good(on God's standard). You, I and most( most because babies don't sin, and maybe specifically mentally Ill people) purely human beings have violated God's moral law. Since God is just, He can't let sin go just like that. So is there any hope? Yes, there is. Out of love and mercy, God became a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and finally died on the cross to bear the punishment we deserve, we deserve to be punished because we have sinned. The reason why blood must be spilled for forgiveness of sins is because the life of the flesh is in the blood, in the Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for sins but the sacrifice of animals were enough to temporarily cover some sins. (it did not allow forgiveness of sins, unlike Jesus's, it only temporarily covered them). Jesus is the Lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for sins which is enough for all sins that have been done, are done and will be done. Jesus was buried and rose again. His resurrection proved that His death was enough to pay our penalty, the penalty for our sins. Jesus paid our penalty and in order to accept the free gift of salvation from God, we must trust in Jesus's spilled Blood, His finished work on the Cross for our Salvation. And then your sins will be forgiven because of what Christ did, you will be saved. See: Romans 3:1 , Romans 3:23 , Romans 5:12 , Romans 6:23 , Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9-10 , Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV, John 3:16 KJV, Leviticus 17:11 , Ephesians 1:7 , Colossians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 .

After his poor candidates, Alireza has come back well. Taking that break had obviously affected him, took him a while to recover.

8:05 was comedy gold
The commentators didn't even consider the knight rook exchange as an exchange sacrifice because of black's inactive rook on a6.
Alireza is actually very strong, When agad said "You have to be one with the engine" I knew abdussatrov was in trouble.😂😂😂

The two are just great like a bishop pair 🎉
Antonio really pumping out the content and with enthusiasm. Love it.

Agad, what do you think of Josh Waitzkin's joining youtube?
Last night i dreamed agamadors voice "and in this position resigned as its nothing to be done. its mat in one"

Very nice game by Alireza. Once the black pawns dropped it was over.
The only players that Alireza struggles against are Magnus, Fabi, Nepo and Hikaru
