- On Wednesday, May 23rd 1934, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were gunned down in Bienville Parish, Louisiana on the side of the road. 86 years later, their story is very much still a part of American lore. What I love about this musical is how honest it is, and how it gets you to think about the morality of what happened. 167 bullets in total filled the car that morning. I personally think that was WAY too harsh and that they should have gotten life in prison for what they did, but that's not how vigilante Texas justice worked. What do you all think would be a just punishment? I know I sound pitchy and all at the end, but i was on the verge of tears because this piece is meant to be sung with raw emotion. Also, please don't judge the costume, it's just random crap I pulled out of my closet. :P
Heartwrenching and beautiful. Your voice brings goosebumps. 🌷
