What a great project! I look for those little anvils all the time at estatesale but I have never got lucky...the wife has which is no surprise 😊 I always liked it when coyote used the dynamite or chasing RR on a rocket - of course seeing the anvil drop was exciting as well.... never thought of it til now...but I guess I was always pulling for the yote... RR got on my nerves😆 good stuff magdad!
Good of Chuck to help. I know I could buy a new one that is good for small work on the bench top but it's more fun to find an old one that has been well used. Nice one you got there 357Magdad. Yes Acme - that's the ticket. HaHa my favorite Acme tool of destruction was the anvil, especially the visual of the Anvil's shadow on Coyote as he is standing or laying helplessly waiting for it to land. The shadow getting bigger and bigger.
Nice restoration of the little anvil and hammer. Glad that you removed the casting lines. Thought that you were going to blue the sides, paint looks nice, though. I always liked the coyotes’ slingshot. Some people say ACME stands for American Companies Make Everything.
Really cute video. I like the Wiley Coyote connection - your humor is great. I recall Wileys rocket powered roller skates, so I'd vote for that bit of coyote creativity. I enjoyed the Roadrunner cartoons. Chuck is lucky to have his own anvil. I'm using a six inch piece of railroad track, but it does work.
Great fun Magdad, I enjoyed the reflection of your screw-holding screwdrivers in the top of the Anvil ! I always think of Roadrunner when I think of Anvils, I'm with Mrs Magdad - the Rocket Skates !
The anvil looks terrific. I also loved the Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote cartoons as a youngster. So many ACME products. Not easy to pick a single favourite. 7 1/2 cents per lb supposedly converts to $2.62 per lb according to one inflation calculator price. The vendors at the Kinzers flea market this week were asking more like $3 - 4 / lb. Very expensive. Dave.
A project for Chuck! Awesome. My only wish would have been to see you building his pickup. Or, perhaps, building him an Acme steam shovel, which with he could swing a wrecking ball at the road runner.
I think it would be sweet to make an anvil stand like the log type to be used in a blacksmith setup. Maybe add some other type of smithy shop tools. No end to all the stuff to make.
Record in the UK used to make a very small anvil like the one you bought for Chuck. It was painted RAF roundel blue like their vices. A nice video and I agree with Mrs Magdad on the ACME rocket skates !.
Thats hilarious! Did u build chucks truck? He is styling now! 😂👍 love the anvil project! Thanks for sharing brother. Hope you and your family are doing well 🙏 ARCO & HEIDI ❤
That anvil and hammer came out great! You even added ScoutCrafter red on the hammer. As far as Wile E. Coyote, I liked the Batman suit. That episode cracked me up although, the ACME Disintegrating pistol was pretty funny too. Well, actually, all the episodes had their funny moments though. The old Looney Tunes were funny. Man, that was so long ago. How about the Old Popeye the Sailor Man cartoons? I use to laugh at the phrases he would often mumble such as "I yam disgustipated" and "Oh my gorshk!" .
I LOVE this Anvil and Hammer, and would have deffo bought it if I had seen it myself ! Brilliant restoration job - obviously. Whatever will you find next time ? Take care 🙂
The ACME of Beauty nice little restore looks like it was a Jewelers anvil nice find ... as for the Road Runner and Wile E Coyote one of the best cartoons on a Saturday Morning i even had a real metal lunchbox with the Road Runner and Wile E Coyote another Blast from the Past TY MAGDAD You and Mr Chuck enjoy the day
LOL, I had the biggest smile on my face throughout that whole video. Chuck is a man (?) of few words, but I could tell he really appreciated the hammer and anvil!
Cool little hammer and anvil. I don't have one particular favorite Acme product but my favorite category would be rocket propelled items. Loved Road Runner cartoons so much that when I was old enough to drive I bought a '68 Plymouth Road Runner. I rebuilt a 440 and dropped it in. Local Police didn't like it so much but one officer mentioned he should put a Wile E. Coyote emblem on his patrol car since he figured he would never catch me.🤣 Beep-Beep!!
@@357magdad Me too! I’ve got a few now. I really like a mini Honda generator I picked up at the local Stihl dealer. It’s only about 2” long but its an exact replica of the eu2000 and is also a usb li-ion battery.
Growing up in NE PA in the early 70's our local supermarket was an Acme. Rocket-powered skates on Aisle 7? Hah - no such luck. So as I kid I didn't really understand why Acme was in the Road-Runner cartoons. But now as an adult doing crosswords I fairly often come across Acme as the 4-letter word for "first rate". Nice clean up of that anvil!
Fun video. I actually have a small anvil that size my son made in his college shop class. I use it from time to time. I'm with Mrs. Magdad on the Acme products. 😂
I have one that's a little bigger and I just used it last week to repair a rivet on an aluminum ladder. Sometimes it's handy to have a little anvil you can take where you need it.
Soooo--Chuck, are ya going to let Magdad use your new ACME anvil and hammer or are you going to keep as a collector item, sure looks almost to nice use though, thanks for the video, sweet anvil.
I love it! You made it look great. I have a book that made me laugh harder than anything I have ever read; Coyote vs. Acme, by Ian Frazier. The text is easy to find on line. It’s hilarious!! It’s written in the words of Wiley Coyote’s lawyer presenting his case to a court for all the physical, mental and financial harm caused to Coyote by the Acme Products Co. I concur with Mag Daughter on the best Acme gadget.
Thanks for watching! I like to use a pair of needle nose pliers to stretch out the drums before installing. Check out my rotary tool tips and tricks video: ruclips.net/video/FEx3QtiM5-0/видео.html
So, if you wake to hear distant sounds of blacksmithing, in the early hours, it might not be that distant...It might be Chuck having a sleepless night. Go easy on him, its an irresistable piece of kit, esp with that perfect little hammer! 😉
It sure would, I paid $3350.00 for it brand new, and now they are selling for around $55,000.00, I sold it for $75.00 just before moving to Florida.@@357magdad

Sweet little anvil project, Magdad! I knew Chuck was going to want to Flitz it after delivering it in his pickup truck. 😅👍😎💥
Chuck loves his tiny anvil!
Miniatures are so cool! I always liked the Acme blueprints or instructions that came with items! Thanks
Me too Tony!
Chuck gets the best gifts. The roadrunner and coyote anvil cartoons bring back great memories. Thanks.
Chuck is starting a collection of tiny anvils!
Great job good thing Chuck had a Truck to haul the anvil! The anvil was always one of my favorites because it was in a lot of episodes!!!
Thanks Mike! Chuck's pickup came in handy!

I used to get a kick out of the little signs coyote would hold up right before he fell.
Nice restoration of the little anvil and hammer. Glad that you removed the casting lines. Thought that you were going to blue the sides, paint looks nice, though. I always liked the coyotes’ slingshot. Some people say ACME stands for American Companies Make Everything.

It was very thoughtful of you Magdad to clean up this anvil for Chuck, you did a great job.
I knew Chuck would dig it!
That was great, loved how they both turned out! I used to love watching the roadrunner and coyote on Saturday mornings!
Thanks! Those cartoons were my favorite. Foghorn Leghorn comes in second.
The anvil and hammer look great! I always wondered how the Coyote paid for his gadgets from Acme. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks John! I think he had a secret silver mine like the Lone Ranger.
What kind of maniac does not like a well polished horn. Nice video.

Chuck wants to polish everything!

I built Chuck's truck as part of ScoutCrafter's wood car challenge:

The episode with the big spring is also a favorite!

Outstanding job Magdad. You can spend more, but you can't buy a better anvil than an Acme.
If it's good enough for Wile E Coyote, it's good enough for Chuck!
Nice job! 👍 The only thing I would have done differently is to fill that small void with bondo or JB Weld.
Thanks!
I’m with Magdaughter, the ice machine was the best. Love the results on the anvil, It looks too good to use!
Thanks John! I made sure MagDaughter was exposed to the classics - coyote/road runner, the stooges and Get Smart!
great job, Always nice to find miniature tools at flea markets.
It was the first tiny anvil I could afford!

Nice restoration! Can you make Chuck a forge out of a Bic lighter? 😂😂
I'm not sure letting Chuck have fire is a good idea!
You got me with the thumbnail, I was totally expecting a larger anvil😂 Came out great.
I tried to make it look like a real anvil in the thumbnail!
Acme was a Sears and Roebuck brand that they had manufactured by Columbus forge and iron Co. The same makers of Trenton anvils.
I found the Acme anvils in my reproduction 1902 Sears Roebuck catalog at 4:43
I was legit fooled at the size of the anvil haha. Cool video! I gotta go with the ACME roller skates.
I tried to make it look like a real anvil in the thumb nail!
loved the video as usual.
Take care.

You're lucky to have a buddy with a pick up. Very well done, on the hammer too.
Thanks Alex! I knew Chuck would want some red on the hammer - he's a big fan of ScoutCrafter!
Fantastic! Looks awesome! 😃👍
I added a little red to the hammer because Chuck is a big fan of yours!

Chuck can use it. We can always clean it up again.
You find the coolest things when you got flea marketing and garage sailing. Next time you hit Wisconsin take me with you.

Great job as always magdad.
You're right I should have tried that!
I have a copy of that Sears catalog. Fun to read and use for research.
The old Sears Catalogs are cool. I also have a 1927 reproduction.

I thought the anvil was awesome. Then you showed the hammer. The icing on the cake was the Acme label!
I paid a little more than usual for this at the flea market, but the tiny hammer sold me!
Great video! I like miniature’s. Thank You for sharing!

I think those rocket packs are a reality now!
OK. So while the rollerskates are way cool, I have to go with the ice-making machine. One of his better ideas!
