The official site with ROMs also doesnt have Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12. Say whatever you want, but the after sales of Xiaomi is the worst. Mi A3 is recently bricked, and this happened twice.
Yeah apple removed the headphone jack to sell airpods now they removed the charger so people buy it manually. It's slowly becoming a scam tbh.

God bless Xiaomi for including a case with every one of their phones. I always get a bit anxious about using a new phone that I haven't gotten a case for yet. Having a case in the box totally solves that problem. It's especially convenient because it can be more difficult to find a decent case for a xiaomi phone as opposed to the massive selection you get with the iphone and galaxy s series.

How good would you say the battery is? I'm a medium user with the phone off charge from about 6am - the usual odd calls, text, streaming music to my BT speaker for a few hours, social media, etc... How well do you think the battery will do me?
@@Its_A_London_Thing Well my only problem with the phone is the battery, I kinda expected it will be less than enough, on a day I was using only Messenger but nonstop, and my battery went from 100% to 20% under 4 hours (screen on FullHD 120Hz). For a medium user I think it would barely last a day. I am not leaving my house without it's charger. For a medium user I'd rather recommend a Redmi, like the Note 10 Pro with an 5020 mAh battery, or if you're not in a hurry to change your phone, then I'd wait until September-October, cus according to last year there could be an Mi 11T and 11T pro upcoming.

Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about the battery but apparently Xiaomi were going to put out an update to sort it. Obviously not.
I've been looking at phones like the Poco F3, Realme GT 5G, Oppo Find X2 5G, Nord 2, Motorola Edge and a few others, but I can't quite find the complete package. This Mi 11 would have been it if the battery was a gooden!
I'm not necessarily in a rush to get another phone so I may well wait until next month when a few more phones come to market.

I was a lifelong Samsung user and last summer I wanted to see why people talk so much about Xiaomi so I bought cheap Redmi pro 9 for around 300 Euros and I still have it.
Phone is just amazing and 7 months later it is still in my pocket works at the same speed like it was first day.
I decided to run with it for this whole year and in January 2022 when I`ll buy their newest flagship what will probably be MI 12 for probably around 500-600 Euros.
I thought I am buying Xiaomi but at the end Xiaomi bought me for some time.

Mi Note 10 Lite with SD 730G, 90 Hz refreshing rate, 6GB RAM, Amoled screen and great cameras was "the best buy" phone last year if you ask me, I believe MI Note 11 Lite will be amazing phone with even better specs for less money than any other phone from their competition.
Listen I am not interested any more in flagship phones after I broke Samsung S10+.
Watching how my 800 Euros phone is breaking in front of my eyes was something I don`t want to see and feel ever again

Just re watched your review , even after so many others came out you still gave more depth and yet somehow still made it feel less techie , i think that's your gift? Picking up on your last point i don't think it sold well in Blighty as deals are big just after it came out , I just ordered the global version off amazon with 256gb in Horizon blue for £610 , it was re watching this that told me it was the right decision at that price so Thank you, And yes that's with a free case and 55 watt Gan power brick in the box, that is less then half the price of a S21 ultra, at that price i could also buy the mi 12 this time next year for same cost as 1 x S21 ultra!

Xiaomi for me is underrated for brand conscious consumers. I switched from Samsung to Xiaomi. I've been using a Mi 9T for 2 years now and still works very good. I was surprised by its price compared to samsung. I get what I need and much more.

As a xiaomi user for 3+ years, price is the best thing it has to offer. Abysmal support, bugs, and a phone that is lagging about a year after its release because of a bad update for MONTHS (redmi note 9 pro) is my latest experience. I'd much rather have a more expensive phone that can hold its performance for more than a year. If you can afford anything with stock android and preferably proper OS support, go for that one.
The background music really really suits every scenario at pros or cons.

My very first Xiaomi phone was the 5.5" Xiaomi Redmi note 3 Pro Snapdragon 650, way back in March 2016. My Samsung Galaxy note broke and I didn't want to upgrade yet, wanting to wait for the new Galaxy note 7 (grenade model) to come out, so I opted for the Xiaomi as a cheap short term phone, I ended up keeping it much longer because it was so much better than expected. Even back then Chinese manufacturers were making exciting looking phones. The Redmi note was far from being cheap rubbish, I really liked how well it performed, it had bugs but they would be doing updates quite regularly maybe weekly. This company really changed my impression. The 11T pro will be my 3rd phone from this company, I'm sure it will be good.
