    This is really great. You mentioned hard wiring won't affect Skoda warranty. My dealer manager said it would impact the car warranty if anything happens. Just 2 days back i bought one and need to install the same. I don't want to use cigarette lighter socket because it is continuously on and may drain battery.

    • @ghairobin

      They are just "sellers”. Most of managers at dealer don’t know brands policies. They say no to everything that we want to get done outside their business. Anyways, this is connected to fuse box and not to any electronic component that too without cutting any wires!

    Hi Robin. Thanks for sharing this. Quick question. Instead of hardwiring it, can we just buy a good battery bank (MI 10000 MAH) and plug the dashcam to it? Do we have good space behind the dashboard console to hide it? That way the installation will look more cleaner. Wanted to hear your thoughts?

    • @ghairobin
      @ghairobin  Год назад +1

      Hi Thomaskutty, There is a enough space in dashboard console. However, you would need adapter that will convert dashcam wire connectors to USB. Also, I am not sure how long 10000mAh will last.
      Though, there is a battery pack that Nexdigitron offers if someone doesn't want to hardwire and intends to use parking monitoring. I am not promoting Nexdigitron but giving a solution.

    • @kuttyte
      @kuttyte Год назад +1

      @@ghairobin I did see that one .The black box you mentioned still needs Harwiring for charging and since they are Li Phosphate its bulky and big. All the new dashcams in the market has Type A to charge and Type C port in Dashcam. This will work very well with portable batteries like the MI 10000 mah pocket. Will let you know how long I get the back up once I start using it seriously.

    • @zybernau
      @zybernau Год назад

      @@kuttyte Hey Thomas, I believe the battery banks are avoided because of the safety reasons. That's why most dashcams comes with super capacitor battery instead of lithium batteries.

      Thank you! This is first time when someone is commending my English😀
      This dashcam, so far, has met my expectations.
      I wish it had Auto event detection recording in parking mode as it is offered by some other manufacturers. I knew this before making the purchase. I went with it because of latest sensor.
      2nd thing that I miss is the remote support to prevent some clips from being overwritten. You got to press a button in dashcam itself in order to make it happen which, in my opinion, can be distracting while driving. Had there been remote support, one could place the remote at convenient place and make use of it without having to take eyes off road.
      Hope this helps.

    Hi, I have just finished the PDI of Kushaq. Parking is a big issue in Delhi. Due to open parking, surveillance is utmost priority for me.
    I have zeroed in on Viofo T130 which seems quite premium with 3 channels. But I know squat about cars and don’t feel comfortable with DIY.
    Would it be better to get it done by some accessory installation expert?
    Also I would prefer getting it hardwired via a fuse tap so that I can uninstall it before going for service just to avoid the warranty void crap from service centre.
    Can you please guide which ports on the fuse box I would have to use? Also does fuse tap adapter comes along with the dashcam. Viofo T130 product page doesn’t say anything about it. I’m probably asking a stupid question here and there is no such thing as fuse tap adaptor. Please clarify.

      Hi Mohi, Viofo offers installation at home in major cities in India as fas as I know. You can find more info regarding installation on their website.
