@@CheritheChef i'm trying this tonight, which is why i came to see if i was the only one that this had occurred to. of course, i am making an omelette, so...
@@CheritheChef it's a winner. eggs were fluffier. of course, then i saw a vid of someone making a wine and cream mushroom sauce for an omelette :) gonna have to make that sauce.
Add seasonings after it's almost cooked.....salt breaks down raw eggs...I scrambled the eggs during the cooking process but next time I'm trying with sour cream...thanks for the video ma'am
Your right! I have always heard the same thing but I never could tell the difference. They always turn out light, fluffy and super creamy . So, I never knew whether it was a myth, maybe the sour cream helped in some way or I just didn't know what I was looking for LOL? Either way, thanks so much for stopping by and watching! Let me know what you think about the addition of sour cream ☺️
I've always assumed there must be some truth to it however because adding salt to the water when boiling corn versus adding salt to the finished product toughen corn kernels a bit. 🙂
I use to scramble and add seasonings in a bowl all the time..I think you get a better scramble egg if you break the eggs in a saucepan add butter and then scrambled, constantly stirring it like its risotto then add seasonings and fold it in. My mother always wants me to cook scrambled eggs when we meet for breakfast lol
Many moons ago, I used mayonnaise instead of sour cream in my recipe. The eggs turned out great, but my husband now tells me "Don't tell me what you put in it; all I know is it's delicious."
I live scrambled eggs, especially when I make breakfast burritos. I've always used milk but I'm giving this a try for sure. Great looking recipe, thanks for sharing.
Yes, you can use the same ingredients, it might cook a bit quicker and I would suggest cooking on low to med-low. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 😘
The fact that you have a container for american cheese makes me wonder if there's a difference between what you're using and individually wrapped cheese slices...
Thanks so much for watching! And, I can't remember where we got that container but I am pretty sure it was intended for individually wrapped slices lol. I have found though there usually is a difference between the individually wrapped slices and the deli sliced cheese in taste as well as texture . Hautly cheese is our favorite but we usually by the Walmart brand of the deli sliced. :) You will have to compare in see which you like better 😋
Most grocery stores have american cheese pre-sliced and it's way way better than the packaged stuff like kraft. I get it in blocks and use it when I want to make queso.
@Ramza The Heretic hardly dramatic. Literally anyone with basic cooking knowledge should know not to season the eggs. If you like eggs seasoned during cooking then fair enough, I can definitely tell the difference..
@Ramza The Heretic very big headed aren't you? Like I said anyway, if you like rubbery eggs then that's on you. Eggs are subjective. Just don't invite me over for dinner yeah?
No, the worst thing you can possibly do is overcook them. That’s yields a much worse result than salting the raw eggs. Also, I got a chuckle out of you calling @Ramza The Heretic big headed. Talk about the the pot calling the kettle black. Lol
Ralph Cifaretto brought me here.
Well thanks Ralph and thank you for taking the time to watch and to comment! :)

We will be giving you a side of everything with your eggs you order
Dont forget the dessert platter! 😋🤣🙂😘
thats around 1700 calories…. lol. imagine eating a whole days worth of food just for breakfast
That’s a lot of sour cream though 1/2 is enough for that Amt of eggs but heck even eggs are almost unaffordable these days
That “cheese” is more like bathroom tile caulk rather than actual food. People, stay far away from that garbage!
