I buy shower curtains and tablecloths for yardage when I find them on sale. Shower curtains make cute garmet bags. I have used tablecloths for patio curtains.
I benefit from your work because I live alone in a small house and I suffer from a mobility impairment with my feet. I organize my apartment with what I have access to some things. Thank you for this useful work.
I bought some at a discount store with beautiful prints. Made easy covers for my sofa with loose pillow back. They with stand my husky quite well. He loves to dash to the sofa after digging a hole in the yard during a spring shower!😁 I have 2 sets, and ready to make more!
My last day at my condo of 20 years is Sept 30th and I am overwhelmed packing and sorting all by myself. I am not feeling well tonight so got up to watch you tube videos and its funny that I stumbled onto yours. I was looking at my shower curtain tonight thinking, "wow, I am going to miss it" as I am going to a home now fully furnished and only will have one room to myself. My mom gave me my shower curtain a while back and I hang it in the summer time. The print reminds me of the wall hanging behind that famous photo of Farrah Faucet some years ago - actually many years ago. I am one who also always likes a doily over the toilet tank and then my wicker tissue basket. I always have to have everything matchy matchy also and there was enough of fabric on the bottom of my curtain to cut off and make into a tank cover. Then a couple of years ago my sister and mom invited me on their annual trip to Sanibel, Florida where all the shell seekers go and the shells are out of this world. I collected all the perfect ones for my glass vases and to display by themselves and then a few days later I turned my focus onto having one of each kind with natural holes in them. I came home and threw the all into my dishwasher and then threaded with a bead needle thin grosgrain fabric thru the shells with the holes alternating the colors in the shower curtain every other ring. When I pull the curtain open, all the shells hit each other lightly and it sounds just like when the water hits the edge where your feet are and the water turns the millions of shells over and they sound like tinkle, tinkle, tinkle - a high pitch but, rather soothing sound. I have also made my own shower curtains but, for the life of me I have never thought of repurposing them but, I am so excited as - I have two lounge chairs that need recovering and I think my shower curtain would look awesome on them. The purple drapes you made were awesome the curtain with the dots of sage green and blue were awesome. My new room was just painted Soft Sage by PPG on Saturday and I think curtains out of your shower curtain would look so good in there or even just as artwork. Have a super weekend. Thanks for an awesome video on pillow too. I have bee sewing since I was 8 and I just turned 56 on the 6th of Sept but, its nice when there is also an easier way but, a nice make something too. Sincerely, Rebekah in Alexandria City, VA
I love your comments and ideas for the shells, since I LOVE anything about the beach.. ( you can see by my profile pic). By the way, we're "birthday twins"; my birthday is September 6 as well. I turned 70. Happy Belated Birthday🥳🎂🎊🎈
I can't wait to share with a friend your idea about covering french door windows, not just about the shower curtain but the way you hung them too. Awesome! Thanks for sharing your time & talents with me. 👍🌻💜 c. mason
I've used the really cheap shower curtain liners to cover and protect my floors in the winter when I'm shoveling and dragging in salt and snow all over the place!
They make great table cloths for outdoor picnic tables, great drop cloths under high chairs for messy babies, also drop cloths for painting because I'm messy 😃!
On the frame/ message board with shower curtain cutout. You can super glue a large washer to the frame and a magnet to the dry marker. So you never loss the dry marker. ❤️
Hi, Thank you for the video. Those were some interesting ideas I had not thought about. I do like using vinal shower curtains under the regular curtains on the windows in the winter. It helps stop any drafts, and gives a small thermo layer before the glass. I have a friend that also hangs blankets up for curtains in the winter, along with the vinal shower curtains, for warmth. You can use the shower curtains on the windows in summer as well to keep the heat out of the house too. Same thermo layer before the glass. I've also hung shower curtains up on tension rods in the hallway at both ends in the winter. It helps keep more warmth by the bedrooms, yes they're short, heat rises. And tension rods come down quick when friends visit. But that little extra made a difference. Use vinal table cloths if you want longer coverage, you just need cafe rod clip rings to hold it up instead. Hope this helps. Your ideas are great too. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵☺️✌️☮️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊
Such good ideas! I recently bought a house and it has a lot of big windows. Draping all of them will cost upwards of $1,000. I think I will go and find some cute shower curtains instead. Cloth of course.
Hi Anon Emus, Have you seen the RUclips videos of people using paint drop cloths for curtains? Home Depot or Lowe's carries them, they're cotton, like duck cloth. So pre-shrink them in the washer and dryer first, iron them too. If you pick up those cafe curtain clips (in brass, or chrome finish) you won't need to sew them, just fold down the top to fit the length, and clip on the rings. You can cover very large windows for around $60-ish . If you have a sewing machine, you can cut down, and hem larger pieces to cover more windows. I've also used sheets for curtains. They can be thin sometimes, so use larger ones to gather up more, or line them, or use two layers. I've also used white shower curtains as the sheer underlining with sheets as the curtains. The sheets as curtains work to match the sheets on the bed, and covers. Hope this helps. Good luck. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵☺️✌️☮️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊
Many times in the past when i want to protect my vintage tablecloths and still be able to use them i put them on the table and cover them with 6mm clear window plastic or a new clear shower curtain would work as well. You can still see the beautiful cloth under it.
I put one over my porch railings so food for my feral friends stays dry and so do they. You can also use plastic tablecloths for same purpose. I throw down old bathmats and area rugs too. I know they appreciate it!
I have two open metal shelf units on my back porch for shed clutter. I cut shower curtains to cover the clutter and the things on top hold the curtain in place.
WOW! What really great ideas for shower curtains. Those ideas never would have crossed my mind. I really love the pillow with pockets. Teenagers would just love that. So smart. Thanks for sharing
We glammed our 1988 camper and the curtains, cut in half length wise, make great dividers for extra room in the minuscule bathroom. The hallway at both ends is blocked off for full privacy when the curtains are closed. When open, they’re great decorative pieces.
..... A few ".new ideas', but the drapes over the French door windows or to curtain off the doorway ,I've been doing that for years....I'm older and I loved that concept ....older homes used to have that ...where they had these beautiful drapes between the rooms and it's very neat. I actually buy the really nice cloth shower curtains and you can use those as outdoor curtains on a gazebo on a patio you use with drapery rings and A Rod it looks great and it helps block the sun if you need to do that. I change out my shower curtains all the time I have five different ones for my bathroom and I have all kinds of them that I use outside.
For the outdoor pillow covers I would use liquid stitch because its washable and heat resistant. Because if you took pillows in a black car and it was parked in a parking lot for several hours the heat glue will get soft and come soft and places on it may come loose
I really wish I had thought to use a shower curtain to protect areas of flooring when I had my puppy. Still a good idea by patio door to avoid mud being tracked in
OK, I looked through the comments and didn’t see it, so I’ll say it - “Love the music!” Simply beautiful! Thanks!
They are beautiful shower curtains at the dollar tree..This gives me an idea for pillows for my swingset🙌🏽🙌🏽..Thanks a lot🥰
Cheaper , more variety and creativity 🙌🏽
I buy the clear shower curtains from dollar tree, and cover my house windows in the winter. Best thing to use for winterizing 👍

In 2009 i reupholstered my dining room chairs with a beautiful damask shower curtain. It turned it out beautifully!
My next project! I found some beautiful damask ones on clearance!
I benefit from your work because I live alone in a small house and I suffer from a mobility impairment with my feet. I organize my apartment with what I have access to some things. Thank you for this useful work.
I imagine that you do a really good job too!
I never thought to use a shower curtain to make covers for the outdoor funiture cushions. Great idea!
I bought some at a discount store with beautiful prints. Made easy covers for my sofa with loose pillow back. They with stand my husky quite well. He loves to dash to the sofa after digging a hole in the yard during a spring shower!😁 I have 2 sets, and ready to make more!
This was very good! I've also used the heavier shower curtains to replace my gazebo curtains. Worked great!
Friends would hang a sail on their pool deck and we’d cookout, swim and watch movies. Great fun.

It makes the room look bigger if I r curtains hang down to the floor. 😉
I've used the really cheap shower curtain liners to cover and protect my floors in the winter when I'm shoveling and dragging in salt and snow all over the place!
Pillow case pockets would be a great way to organize the remote control(s), handy & practical.
The movie screen idea is pure genius.
Wow, great ideas! I have been looking for a cheaper fabric to create patio pillow cases. This is brilliant and couldn't be a better time to see this!
They make great table cloths for outdoor picnic tables, great drop cloths under high chairs for messy babies, also drop cloths for painting because I'm messy 😃!
I save my used shower curtains for drop cloths.
