Beatrice, Ti amo!
Suono e fraseggio molto interessanti !!! Orgoglio italiano !!! Continuo a fare il tifo per te !!!
Meravigliosa Beatrice! Letteralmente i brividi!
Thank you, Beatrice. I just disovered you playing Bach's concerto in D-minor, one of my favorites. Your presentations, virtuosity Is fantastic. Yes, Bach seems to be the most un your soul. AND now this greatly performed Schumann. Thank you for sharing your gift, your work with us, showing the World these fantastic composers, orchestra, lifting you all, our spirits in difficult Times AND even More in good times.then the Soul goes into the immortal dimension where the music comes from.
Mi piace tantissimo come Beatrice Rana suona Schumann.
Magnificient! So sensible, clever, emotionaly powerful and smart! You play this concerto as if it would have been composed for you! As if you had met Clara Schumann! Bravissimo!
so gloriously unpretentious, she plays non-technical perfect, as it is the most normal thing in the world, she is the best i remember the brahms concerto in bolzano........
And now this Schumann? I know her as a Bach Interpreter, can she play romantic music? As you can already understand my answer is yes! I never heard this piano concerto played with a more gentle touch than hers.
This reminds me of hearing Katia Buniatishvilli perform with the LA Philharmonic two years ago (Mozart A major concerto) . Her sound was not quite as bright as it is on iTunes but is was fuller and warmer with incredibly detailed dynamics. I'm really starting to appreciate world class piano playing. Thanks for your video on the Goldberg Variations. I watched another video on PianoTV about the Goldberg and I had to buy the music and look at it.
It's great that you are discovering classical music. Keep on listening and re-listening to different interpretations of the same piece. Eventually you'll find out there's tasteful, imaginative interpreters - and vulgar and tacky ones. I've got an idea into which category Rana belongs - and into which Buniatishvili. But up to you find out... 😉
"Ms. Rana is adversely an 8th wonder, a sagestly claiuraudent necromity of likened listening essentially perturbed gifted young talent," Just what isn't there that she hasn't done, I have the privilege of her performing can't wait. Think I've waited long enough for her dayview.
I gave the same opinion to a Sir asking what the piece in the Four minutes movie's final was, posting this link and telling him that this is comparabile to Martha Argerich's performance only... Great to meet someone with the same feeling.
DENNY T I urge you to skip to the last movement if you couldn’t stand the first 2, in all honestly I don’t prefer the first two movements much either but I am not lying when I say that the finale is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard. At least give it a try, id like to know your thoughts about it!
@@lukeehrkepiano5061 Thank you for your effort to bring your appreciation of this Schumann piece to my attention. I did listen to the last movement, but it still leaves me cold. I found it to have, at its best parts, touches of Chopin and Brahms. When I listened, I didn't have any awareness of his fondness for both composers. I never felt that he reached a lyrical beauty I find in both of those composers. But, thank you again for trying. Perhaps when I'm old, I'll like him more. I'm only 77 now.
Very poor performance of this fine concerto. She rushed through sections that required much more expression and generally rushed through it. A perfunctory performance throughout. Lipatti is my favorite recorded performance and his live one as well with Ansermet. I wonder if Rana has ever heard Lipatti's performances or has taken note of other fine performances. This is not to say that she should have followed other pianists' interpretations but she could had gained greater insight into the piece had she done so and might have changed the way she approached this work. A few other great pianists have given fine live and recorded performances of this work. Rana does well when performing the Prokofiev concertos but is out of her element when it comes to the Schumann piano concerto.
"Very poor"? I disagree. Technically imperfect, yes, as others have noted. But she breathes life and feeling into pieces like this that I'd stopped listening to because they are so boring. I'll listen to the gentleman you mention, looking forward to it.
Your very subjective opinion. I love this performance for precisely the reasons you dislike it. It's a piece I used to hate, because of grandiose, overindulgent performances. Now, at last, I understand it.
The flowers are for you Miss Beatrice Rana, grazie for your lovely performance. 🌷🌷🌷 (Hollanda)
Beatrice Rana is the greatest pianist of our time. When she plays the music floats in the air directly from the composer's heart to your heart.
I believe, you will end up being one of the great piano legends, Beatrice Rana.
She already is, and already was as young girl ! ❤
The greatest Rach 2 I have ever witnessed and one of the best concerts ever!

She is marvelous. A long, healthy life to her!
I remember this concert very well. It was electrifying even in the vast hall.

Royalty at the piano. Very well done!
Grazie x aver suonato Schumann
Superb playing: matter-of-fact elegance without calling attention to self, genuine, with feet firmly on the ground throughout.

🌷👸Sua interpretação é de tirar o fôlego. Belíssimo!
Scoperta stanotte in Bach BWV 1052 e Prokofiev k per pf 2 e 3. Cioè nel top del top. Straordinaria, incantevole pianista salentina!
Bellissima interpretazione

Wonderful legato playing! Full harmonics

eccellenza italiana
Eccezionale!

She plays beautifully, without artifice.
Excellent Goldberg at El Camino College, Los Angeles! Next time you should play at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Bravoooooo Beatrice... better then Martha .....
Are you kidding me? Martha is Martha.Nobody like her.
she plays like martha argerich, i think...
beter.....I 'm sure

🤦sorry
Schumann does nothing for me.
Sorry to hear that.
I have doubts that anyone who has listened to the last movement of this concerto could say such a thing...
@@lukeehrkepiano5061 Couldn't get to the last movement.
