Just came across your video....im wanting to try cackle paint but I don't know how....I will def be avoiding this product.....and you got a new follower im afraid from England xxxx
Welcome! This isn’t a great product unfortunately. The FolkArt crackle works well if you can avoid back brushing which I struggle with. Follow the directions and it work beautifully.
You CAN back brush it immediately and carefully. It is a one-step product, and sometimes it needs back brushing in order to get rid of ridges. When putting craquelure onto an old art print that I have decoupaged onto a piece of furniture I use a pouncing sponge with a handle (loaded up well) which completely eliminates brush strokes and makes the crackle lines go in all directions like they would on a real oil painting.
This crackle is insane! Don't know what to do with the rest. Otherwise it will be sitting on the back of the shelf. Very disappointed with this but still love Modpodge products
I go kind this at Walmart and had no idea it even existed and it was a disappointment. I had high hopes for it because I even got the pentart fine line crackle and same thing……disappointment
I followed directions, it said put an thin even coat down, 3 hours later it has done absolutely nothing, not a crackle in sight. Very disappointed in this product!
I just came across your video. I want to try it on a glitter bottle..
Good luck. I’m not a fan of this product so I hope it doesn’t mess up your glitter bottle.
Didn’t find that it crackled much. Expected more. I’ll try again.
Yeah it gator skinned more than crackled. The Decor product cracks if you’re looking for more. Don’t back brush with that one though.

Elmer's glue works really good. The thicker the glue the better your crackle is
Great tip! I will have to try it.
I have tried many crackle products and I have never gotten it!!
I’m not a fan of crackle products but this one is so different on its process that it doesn’t make sense.
😂 I wish I had found this before I bought this!! Grrrr I want crackle lol
Oh no! This isn’t the best crackle. The other one I mentioned is a good crackle.
@@HeatherJackson-g6x you can use Elmer's glue it works the same. And the thicker you put it the better your cracks
I just started watching and you have me cracking up up do you have a craft page on FB if so let me know
Thank you. I have a Facebook page but I don’t do a lot with it. The RUclips channel is my main social media.
I tried the mod podge crackel and I didn't get any crackel either 😢
No it just not a good product. Which is surprising because most of their products are good.
I’d love to see you experiment with breaking all the instruction rules and seeing what happens - thick coat, back brushing, etc!
Oooo! Let’s do it!

I watch this lady modpodge and use crackle and hers always comes out great, it crackle all over it just here and there.
She’s very lucky then. As you saw I found this disappointing.
Rolling probably less likely to create air bubbles than shaking just a guess
Oh that makes sense. Thank you it helps my sticky brain to know why.
Morning! ❤
Morning!
First crackle product I used. Very dissatisfied with results, too.
Yeah it’s not good. Most people wouldn’t consider raised ridges as a crackle.
Hi, at the beginning i thought you said, "Top Coat" as in Final Layer....hmmm
Yep that’s what it said. But then it said to make the crackle stand out you can put a coat on top.
Ohhhhh, there were some strong gummies visiting the offices when those directions were written out.
😂 ain’t made sense to whoever wrote it.
I bought a small bottle of this product. I followed directions completely. It did not work for me. Thank God I didn’t buy a large bottle…
Agreed. I would have been very upset if I had bought this and used it on furniture.

Interesting, I did not know this product existed. And btw, when I first saw the title I thought it said 'cackle' 😅
It made me cackle 😆 This not a good product. It was definitely good to try it before I would use it on a project.

I still love mod podge products too. I wasn’t prepared for this one to go so wrong.
I go kind this at Walmart and had no idea it even existed and it was a disappointment. I had high hopes for it because I even got the pentart fine line crackle and same thing……disappointment
Yeah this wasn’t great. Not at all what expect when you want crackle finish.
I hear the thicker the crackle the better the cracks turn out
This product wasn’t what I want when I think crackle. The ridges don’t work for me.
I followed directions, it said put an thin even coat down, 3 hours later it has done absolutely nothing, not a crackle in sight. Very disappointed in this product!
I’m not happy with this project either. I’m so surprised because most of their products work well.
I will never buy that project, thanks for saving me some money!
Yeah it’s not what I would expect from a crackle product.
Yeah that stuff is crap!!!!! Mod Podge is crap! It says thin coat but the thicker parts look better. Trash this and keep the Folkart.
I agree it’s not working like it should or would be expected to.
it is horrible. maybe mod pidge will pull it off the market
Yeah it’s not good. Maybe they will discontinue it.
To much work.
Agreed

I did!
