I used to work at the place that builds the spro rods in Arkansas. One of the coolest jobs I’ve had. A lot of very experienced people working there! They’re nice rods for sure!
I use the Kistler Jerkbait rod. It's a lite medium heavy. Pretty neat. Lite tip, medium heavy backbone, good for most size jerk-baits, and I also realized it's amazing for your really shallow diving crankbaits. Basically a BFS setup with my Daiwa Zillion.
I own the Megabass Orochi X10 Jabberwock and that Evergreen looks very similar! Both have that fast action/tip with slight movements and lighter load, and then all of a sudden you get that parabolic fish fight-ability

These videos are so nice. This is like testing a rod out in a tackle shop, but online
Glad you like them!

That was an excellent video really enjoy how you explain the weight of the rod and enjoy how you show how it bends all important aspects of the rod.
I love these videos... IMO its still hard to beat that classic st croix 6.8 M fast rod they carry from the bottom to the top tier rods.
Just ordered a dobyns champion 705cb rod with new Daiwa tatula100 sv tw. Hope this works out well 🤞
I’ve fished them all the megabass p5 one ten stick is awesome for jerkbait and Topwater. Give it a try.
I got that Kaden 610-4CB for $140 last Black Friday at my local tackle shop. It's definitely very versatile 💯
The Kaden 610-4CB is a SOLID Jerk and topwater rod especially for the money..
I'll take ONE of each of the rods you showed 😄😁🎣👍
My jerkbait rod set up is the Shimano Expride 6'-10" M paired up with a Shimano Metanium MGL. Let me just say WOW!😮

Megabass oneten stick for the win
MB 110 stick, Shimano 6'10 m for smaller 110 Jr's to 110 size and MB 110 Special for bigger +2 rearange jerkbaits for me.
Looking at the expride spinning rods what would you recommend for jerkbaits 6’10 medium fast or 7’0 medium fast?
Unless you like an extremely fast taper avoid the expride for jerkbaits.
Mod fast seems to be the best taper for jerkbaits
I have a phenix feather 7'1 medium light with a 201 Curado dc with 40lb braid
40lb line on a med light rod seems like a mismatch and a good way to break a rod on a snag
@Tallnerdyguy works fine its braided 40=10lb mono
