A really cool recording. It takes a bit to pull this off live on the street and Debbie did it with flying colours. The band plays tight and especially the drums with Clem Burke hold it all together in an excellent way. I can't help thinking that Debbie was 54 years old at this time. Not that it plays a significant role, but she undoubtedly had both guts and pride which stands out and shows what she is made of.

Too bad the song didn't come out when she was around. I would have sang it to her, too. I had very little to say to Grandma. There was a language barrier. And she didn't know English all too well. But Maria, sung to her as Katrina, also, would have been one thing she would have gotten in her head, even if she did not know the words. My grandmother used to call me Chintia. It s my name in the Sicillian dialect. O think Blondie would get another hit record out, if they made up a song about a cat or a dog. Then everyone could sing it to their animal. That s where our hearts lie now. In the lives and minds of our pets. If anyone out there talks to Deborah, or any other band member, tell them to make up cat and dog songs. Paul Mc Cartney did it about his "Martha." That's where the affection of Americans and Europeans lie. In the lives and hearts of our pets. Everyone could relate to it. Everyone could sing it to their animal. But don't make the end of the song where the cat or dog dies in the end. For that would spoil it and ruin the chances of the record becoming popular. Try it.
