Between April 2 and April 4 of 1999, in tennis the Davis Cup first round match Germany vs Russia in Germany took place. Being a German I cheered for my countrymen, and there was this 19 years old Russian named Marat Safin. He chosed this song as his entrance song when walking to the court, that's when I did hear the song for the first time, and I wanted to have it. I bought it on CD a couple days later. PS: Safin would later win the US Open 2000 and Australian Open 2005, so a two-times Grand Slam Champion.

Cool memories :). I remember when I did hear it for the first time, it was about one week away from my 17th birthday, I was still 16. Between April 2 and April 4 of 1999, in tennis the Davis Cup first round match Germany vs Russia in Germany took place.
Being a German I cheered for my countrymen, and there was this 19 years old Russian named Marat Safin. He chosed this song as his entrance song when walking to the court, that's when I did hear the song for the first time, and I wanted to have it. I bought it on CD a couple days later.
PS: Safin would later win the US Open 2000 and Australian Open 2005, so a two-times Grand Slam Champion.
