Yup... It´s really a pity Jakobs weapons aren´t really viable on higher weapons. Especially that so many of the unique snipers(now that I think about it... actually all Jakob unique snipers except from the Hawkeye which is useless anyways because you will get more damage, even with crits out of a purple Muckamuck) are bolt action and that for have a comparable fire rate to WW1 long ranged artillery which is really annoying with the game stating that they would fire "as fast as you can pull the trigger"(which btw is also a wrong statement, you can´t surpass the rate of fire shown on the item card, that´s usually just faster than you can leftclick).

I wish the sniper class mods for Zer0 in Borderlands 2 gave you a chance to not consume sniper ammo. It´s a good class mod overall but having it reduce shield capacity really hurts at times and not all the skills it boosts are really that usefull. I´m really happy with mine that boosts headsh0t and 0ne sh0t 0ne kill but you can very well get stuff you really don´t need when using sniper rifles(precisi0n, 0ptics...) or at least other sniper rifles than the Vladov Patriot...
A reavers edge hybrid with explosive element would also be great on brick for his overall increase in damage and explosive damage would be devastating.

Puma I love your vids, but to show the true power of snipers in bl1' why not with mordecai 50 proficiency in sniper rifles, long with all perks governing sniper rifles. For example his ability to totally ignore shields. Saying this I do understand the format of this video showing the raw potential power of snipers rifles without perks :)
Right off the bat, before watching the video, I'm predicting the Orion to be either really high on the list or #1. It's really grown on me more recently and with Lilith, it's easy to mow down enemies quickly, granted you're consistently hitting their crit spots and have a good Specter mod equipped.
As Mordecai, I wanted the Bessie so bad for just about the entire two playthroughs, but when I got one, I was actually kind of underwhelmed as I had been spoiled with a Penetrator + ammo regen class mod. I just couldn't go back to firing so slowly anymore.
I agree with this. Everybody is all about BL2 and TPS since they came out, and I'm over here all "Borderlands 1 is better!" all by myself. I think the guns are better, the gun generation system is more intricate, if an enemy is using a specific kind of season, you know there's a good chance he'll drop it when you kill him. Also, the guns don't have all the stupid gimmicks they gave them in BL2. (Seriously? Dahl has to have a burst fire sniper rifle when zoomed?! Wtf is that?! Dahl was one of my favorite manufacturers in BL1, and BL2 ruined them.) One other thing: S&S Munitions. They took S&S away and gave us freaking Bandit?! What a joke.

That is one of the new Gearbox weapons they created for the 2019 remaster, this video is older than that. It´s a very good sniper, so powerful, but I prefer Bessie, Volcano, Skullmasher or Penetrator. Besides, Crawmerax drops it very often (and always at level 69 with the same stats in the endgame), so it doesn´t have that "rare" factor, or the satisfaction of farming for a better version than the one you have, like any other gun.

Since the Skullmasher is basically a high-accuracy shotgun, it's better off with sight2 or sight3. It never needs sight4 or sight5. Also, it rocks with the XX ("double ex") material type. 10:46 Also notice how the sight4 sniper scope vaguely resembles the Dahl sniper scope from BL2. They both resemble compound optics with non-functioning backup reflex sights on top.
How is the Skullcrusher not higher? 6 projectiles with 200% critical hit damage (procing on all 6 shots) makes its DPS the best of any sniper rifle if you hit the critical hit areas. Bosses in BL1 have large weak spots and aren't very fast, so you're gonna hit this more often. I feel this was underrated.
So i need to get to killing crawermax on mah Mordecai, those stats are just... WHAAAT? btw the elephant gun sniper rifle from BL1 is AMAZING once you get the hang on how the aim works. it does SO MUCH DAMAGE. it should be on this list even tho its hard to aim with.
Hey VPG I have a problem. In Fallout 4 I made an Automatron but I decided to change for OldFellow for a while. I send my Automatron to the castle but when I came back he wasn't where. I checked every settlment i had unlocked and tried using the station to see if I can edit my automatron but he's name didn't appear. Does anyone know what to do?
Fborkowski He may have gotten stuck on the way back. If you are on pc use console commands to find it/ teleport. If not, try looking around the area that you sent it to or travel around the area to find it. Or wait a few days at that settlement to see if it arrives. If not, as a last resort, load a recent save where you are travelling with it.
The problem with BL1 Sniper rifles is that they sometimes have too much recoil and spread, especially with Torgue snipers. But the Explosive snipers are neat though
To be fair, BL2 have the Pimpernel, one of the most OP guns (not just for snipers, but for all guns) in BL2. Also, there's quite a lot of other strong snipers like the Lyuda (even the base Droog too), and Morningstar as well as some potentially good/above-average ones on the right hands like Chere-Amie and Godfinger.
yet, the original game has the Jakobs Bessie, probably one of the most powerful non-elemental sniper rifles (and the most accurate when zoomed-in), especially if you get a version of it with a 3-shot chamber and the "Fearsome" prefix

I disagree about the Surkov, but I'm not a fan of Vladof in general. The Penetrator is decent (Dahl ftw), but were *you* paying attention? He didn't just say "Reaver's Edge," He said "Reaver's Edge with Penetrator barrel." That gets you all the benefits of the Penetrator plus the awesomeness of the Reaver's Edge scope and spread reduction.
Am I the only one who has NEVER gotten better than a blue (MAYBE 1-2 purples EVER) from the random red nd silver chests around maps? They seem completely useless to me as I've never ONCE found a legendary in ANY of them. Even after killing bosses I find more legendaries in fucking cabinets/lockers than I do from the red/silver loot chests in the reward area after the boss. Even in general I get at least 60-70% more legendaries in lockers/caibnets more than my entire 3 playthroughs till level 44 with 3 characters now.

Cobra is way better than the Edge hybrid 😂😂 Dafuq. The cobra is a one shot sniper where as the Edge takes half to a full clip of ammo per enemy.
