    Luckily I can't play these wrong because I can't play them at all

    In the smells like teen spirit intro, kurt sometimes accidentally plays the 3rd string while playing the F5 and the G#5, making the chord a Fsus4 and G#Sus4 Chord

    I don't play any instrument but I love watching these, also makes want to learn to play one, although I could barely spot the difference between the wrong way and the correct way on each song, you got a sharp ear there!

    I love your content so much! That being said- what is your proof on the basket case claim? I've only seen billie play the E power chords on the A string in live shows...

      @lacexo773 Год назад +1

      it can be played both ways. sounds the exact same so either way you’re comfortable

    • @danielsolano330
      @danielsolano330 Год назад +1

      @@lacexo773it doesn't exactly the same. The correct way has major thirds and doubled octaves and fifths and makes a big difference when compared to a power chord.

      If you listen to the isolated guitar track you'll hear the chords played that way.

    I’ve seen Billie play American idiot with both up and down strokes in every live, besides the beginning part which is downstrokes only but the rest is up and doen

    Duuuude basket case makes so much sense now

    blink-182: I Miss You. A lot of people don’t play that one properly either. You’re supposed to put a capo on the second fret and let the open A string ring out while you play the sliding octave riff.

    I remember in Broadway Idiot Billie Joe telling the guitarist to play American Idiot with downstrokes too lol

  • @uxartmusicvideo-andphotogr2043

    Smells like Teen Spirit is played correctly by most guitar players, Cobain was just a sloppy guitar player. 😂

    Yeah i noticed there is a diff sound when you started off w an upstroke for smells like teen spirit👍i also like basket case strumming, & w agree w American Idiot downstrokes for the intro, bcuz if we see the mv, BJ also played as such… does that song only uses downstrokes all the way till the end?☺️

  • @clfnole

    Did Kurt play upstrokes for the entire riff or just at the initial start of it?

    • @DanielSwisherMusic
      @DanielSwisherMusic  Год назад +1

      Just at the start of it I think

      @@DanielSwisherMusic that’s what I was thinking after watching your video. I had read about this somewhere prior but now I am going to incorporate it myself.
