No, it's a backup safety. The big red banner says "Remove before flight" or something like that, at least that's what it says for airplane stuff.

I know what you mean about tech being picky. I showed my '67 Mustang at Autorama. The tech guy looked in the car and said you have black radio knobs so your car goes in the "altered" class. The altered class is for cars with blowers sticking out of the hood and fender flares - not radio knobs.

Hey cleetus I came up to LS fest on Saturday and got to meet you there. I just wanted to say thank you for making it an amazing experience. We went as a class trip with my local tech school and everyone loved it. I watched your 65mph run. Even though it didn't work out I loved seeing old leeroy running down the track.

Although you're heat shrunk, if you start getting noisy signals, you may want to to consider soldering the connections instead of butt splices. Bare minimum butt splices with the anticorrosion grease glue goop on the inside.
Noisy electrical connections from vibrations at speed can be a nightmare to track down.

Great video as usual can I suggest Cleetus you do what we did on our drag car is to put the Shoot Pin in the opposite direction to the cable so as when the pin is pulled out it's impossible to pop the shoot we lost finals race because some one saw the pin still in and thinking he was doing the correct thing just ripped it out and the shoot completely dumped it's self out on the ground love all your videos buddy
Putting the safety pin in the same direction as the pull cable is a rookie mistake.
Can I suggest changing your ending from that fidget spinner thing to you filming yourself in the drift car?? The spinner isn't all that "savage"....the LS Drift cars shredding off some rubber....that sir... THAT is SAVAGE!

You could have just piped the WBO2 voltage into an unused sensor channel on the ECM. The C5 guys use the EGR voltage channel. Works great and you don't need to deal w/ any EIO connections.

Put on a cable throttle body, those dbw ones don't like big motors with turboskees. The motors in the tb don't like all that vacuum and air induction fighting the tb motors

you can tune with a wideband on a non pro hp tuners, tie your wideband signal to ac pressure switch and add a user defined pid. there are write-ups on varius websites to do so
edit: tuned a 600 hp turbo 5.3 s10 doing it this way

Robert G, I personally like to blip the throttle between shifts. Keeps RPM up without letting it bounce off the rev limiter.
Surprised you guys didn't wire the WBO2 into the EGR port. Literally two wires and a custom PID and you can log the wideband with the standard MPVI.

I highly doubt this will help you, but on my 03 Silverado I got the same reduced engine power message. It turned out being the throttle position sensor. But thats a stock truck not nearly as Savage as Leroy.
You ought to drift Leroy cuz you enjoy it so much.
