With this many times he's forgotten AND said he is going to link it to throttle, I believe he's doing it on purpose. Just the same as racing a stupidly-fast car and getting spanked... Then they say something like Oh shit I was only in LOW boost setting HAHA or I had the parking brake on LOL... A way of showing off and saying the car can do better...
My Favorite Channel hands down. I had my 91 Chevy which i had fixed up about ten years ago forgotten in a barn. Since I started watching Leroy I took it out made it run again. I need new tires now lol and hopefully some Kirkey seats. Keep doing what your doing bro your so lucky to do what you do for a living. Look forward to every video you post.
I would have used two commas in that sentence, but other than that it is better than much of what I read on youtube and forums. I'm used to people making up words, like "gonna," which is just stupid and lazy.
You better get a 1/2" block of steel and make a real stop for your clutch. I would have never used so thin of metal let alone welding to to a 1/4" bolt. Get a 3/4" bolt!
Yo cleetus, have you heard of the bartle skeet coming out for the 4th of July? It's the red, the white, and the blue all mixed together. They're calling it Dew SA. He'll ya brother. God bless America and do it for dale. Nice pass brother.
Great run Garrett. I’m definitely excited to see you get down in the 7s. love watching your videos because you’re such a good story teller. What we need more of is coopers old man Florida hat
Hey Cleetus, something I did was run a witch that is triggered by the front of the pedal arm. This way it begins the soft limit hold the second that clutch pedal begins it's travel. It's better for rev control and you don't have to worry about it getting smashed!
Those trucks need OH SH!T handles in them, because everyone always holds onto the roll bar, and if that thing flipped, it would crush your hand.. lol..
I don't think you read my comment.. It started with, Those trucks.. As in the truck he was in that jumped, and he held onto the roll cage in the top of the cab..
I know I'm late but I have to say it, my name is Roy. And I clicked on this channel awhile back just because it said let's Roy the Savage. And now I can't stop watching this channel. Still makes me happy every time le Roy goes full Savage. Hell yeah brother, I need a death cart
Good pass, but put your visor down before going 166mph...and please tune your hot start. It should fire up with one crank! The start-up AFR ratio is determined by the cranking fuel settings and IAC Park position. Those two things give you the cranking AFR. WIth the Hi-Ram, I would open the IAC Park to 60 (maybe even more) and put the cranking fuel 10% more fuel flow than what you have in the Base Fuel table, in the cells around where the engine idles. Glad your dash doesn't reboot anymore, but you didn't need that little box to make that happen. LOL
Hey man. Im from new zealand and just wanna say thanks for the videos. Ive watched all of Leroy from start to finish though good times and the bad haha. Sucha nice car bro. Enjoy looking into further content
Imagine if you didn't short shift, and if the tires dead hooked, and the no lift shift didn't break lol , your personal best is going to get better and better with each track day now that your transmission can handle the RPMs you're not being held back by anything it's all on you now to do your thing and 7s will be no problem when you turn it up you have to realize you haven't even been on this setup for an entire year and you keep changing things and have to relearn things this is how drag racing works at this level, once you figure it all out you will consistently run high 7s No Doubt
I'm no Chevy man... not at all... but I do love watching these videos where you push Leroy to the limit. The pass where you got sideways looked soooo good aside from getting sideways. Just the sound of it told me it was fast. Leroy is on track for 7s real soon.
I like how you use the word "we" When you talk about the car and racing. It's refreshing that you acknowlege your partners and people that help you out along the way. Do it for Dale!
Can't wait for SCT Dallas this week, going to watch Cletus earn that first 7 here in The Great State Of Texas...See you soon and shout out from Dallas Texas
"I get one warning, and then I get one more, and if I go too fast then im out..... so.... just gonna make one more pass... and see what happens" lmfao. hell yeah brother.
I'll be Frank I'm Leary about using my name, BEST CATCH that I've seen in a long time: "street driven drag cars." Any idiot can drive a race car on the street; that doesn't make it a street car. Just because the state takes your money and issues you a license plate (or two), and an inspection certification/sticker (where required) for your race car doesn't make it a street car -- even if you carry full coverage insurance on it. I'm no "mother hen" who thinks that "speed kills," (therefore, the faster you go, the deader you are, right?) -- but courteous and safe driving are the same thing, regardless the speed involved -- and racing is incompatible with either of those concepts (with notable exception, safety in racing is more about disaster mitigation through energy management, than actually preventing problems -- WRC cars competing singly in each stage is a good safety example, although the cars occasionally crash off-course). There are right ways and wrong ways to do things -- just as there are proper venues and improper venues for particular behaviors, speech, etc. Too many today have the "Wild West" romantic view of what it means to be a "Street Hero," so they blast into town (or along the highway or Interstate) at Ludicrous Speed, with nary a thought or care -- and when they do have a thought, it's either contempt for Miss Daisy loafing along at 5-over the minimum lawful speed (but in no case greater than the posted upper speed limit), or it's contempt for one or more of the enforcers of public safety laws (especially if they're being ticketed by said enforcer). How can we convince modern adults and children that the power to be an ass, carries with it the obligation to not be an ass?
Yea i had to be honest with myself and call em what they are... drag cars, you can't climb through the window and put on a 5 point harness and still call it a street car. As for the people that race around on the streets weaving in and out of traffic, i think they are completely ignorant to assume just because they can control their vehicle that somehow means they're in control of the situation when in reality all it takes is one person to change lanes without looking to wreck the best of drivers. Although if they drive 500 miles into the desert on a empty road with clear visibility and let loose i have no problem with that.
Exactly! So glad to know there's someone else in the world that has common sense and good manners -- and knows that "ain't no obstacle" to going fast quickly, or to otherwise having a rip-roaring good time.
I'm not sure I understand the "too fast so I can't run anymore" thing. The track has maximum speed limits, and you get kicked out for exceeding that speed?
one must understand that youtube does not update the view/like count in realtime, and according to where you are watching from, IE: browser/mobile intranet connection as in work or school, you may see numbers that are many minutes old. also there are people who hit like before watching the video... because theres never a bad video outta this channel ;) TL;DR: utube is lazy with updating the view/like numbers.
Going too fast at a drag racing event. I know they want you to have better safety and whatnot but come on. If you're going to let someone drag at all and restrict their speed then why bother?
First time I've ever heard about a drag car going too fast next thing you know it's going to be like NASCAR when you can only run small block naturally aspirated
wesley collins you think that his car would be safe rolling at 180 mph? Or was that sarcasm? That car would more than likely be a death trap if he crashed anywhere above 150
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, your going too fast at a drag strip? They need to be invested in a go-kart track if they don't want people to run fast lmao
They are just looking out for people, Leroy has a few safety issues for the speed he is capable of. They don't need him to crash at 160mph and die just because he wants to have fun and drag race. They were actually really cool to let him drag race at all
Hey fellas, I think he said the cage was ok but just hasn't got it certified yet. Profab built the cage and they are more than capable of building a quality cage. I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure he mentioned that.
1.3 to the 60’
No lift button broke
Tires broke loose in 2nd
No intercooler
*_AND IT STILL WENT 8.54??!!!_*
LEROY IS TOO SAVAGE
Sam Jones and in that hot ass weather too man.
Thanks for ruining the entire video
hell yeah brother
TheGreatHippo that happens in the first 5 minutes so if you look at the comments before you watch it’s your fault
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
You need a pre-launch checklist but don't forget to take a look at the checklist before launching. Just like in Aviation before take-off.
best comment ive read so far ;)
It's at the point its no longer a jump in and drive car. Another vote for pre-run check list.
Let's push this to the top
With this many times he's forgotten AND said he is going to link it to throttle, I believe he's doing it on purpose.
Just the same as racing a stupidly-fast car and getting spanked... Then they say something like Oh shit I was only in LOW boost setting HAHA or I had the parking brake on LOL...
A way of showing off and saying the car can do better...
You need to put a damn sticker on your wheel reminding you of your intercooler...
Put a Mountain Dew sticker on intercooler switch too
FlatlineGURU good idea
well ... he tend to drive faster when he forgets it sooo
Literally thinking the same thing! Right on the dash
lars kristensen TRUUUU lol
9:14 "yeaaaa, kinda a black smith" Cooper cracks me up with his 1 liners
"Kinda a blacksmith"
Blacksmiths all over the world just cringed.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love Cooper. Haha.
new t-shirt
I'm pretty sure he wasn't really saying he has similar skills to a blacksmith.
9:06, that pause when Cooper walks in
theres nothing better than when you let go of your line lock and your car pulls a little sideways and then hooks.... favorite feeling in the world
My Favorite Channel hands down.
I haven’t watched the video yet but let me guess... he forgot to turn on the inner cooler..
Nope... Not gonna be a bitter grammar Nazi today
He was talking about Cleetus' inner cooler... Not Leroy's intercooler. LOL
You've already been one by making this comment
I would have used two commas in that sentence, but other than that it is better than much of what I read on youtube and forums. I'm used to people making up words, like "gonna," which is just stupid and lazy.
@CGT80: At least Ohio Houston didn't write "grammer nazi."
You better get a 1/2" block of steel and make a real stop for your clutch. I would have never used so thin of metal let alone welding to to a 1/4" bolt. Get a 3/4" bolt!
Exactly what I though when seeing that thing
real janky .....
But weight saving bro lmao
Time to go to OKC and call out the FarmTruck!
Aaron Hoobler thay guy's crazy, he comes by the local track some times. I've yet to see him though
Would love to see #leroythesavage at Thunder Valley. Many evenings bracket racing there in the 90s!
Anyone know what farmtruck runs in the 1/8 or 1/4??
That would be either a super close pass or Leroy would eat farmtruck
Watching LeRoy launch is unreal. Well worth all the work you've been doing, keep it up Cleetus!
Yo cleetus, have you heard of the bartle skeet coming out for the 4th of July? It's the red, the white, and the blue all mixed together. They're calling it Dew SA. He'll ya brother. God bless America and do it for dale. Nice pass brother.
Husspower enthusiast they did that last year too
And it wasn’t good last year lol
If you mix red white and blue together, don't you get light purple?
Yeah it's not new, and tastes terrible.
NCHERRY 😂
Bro that eye twitch @10:42 trying to nail those shifts indicated the level of concentration for that last pass......👏👏👏👌💯
You need a sticker in the dash like I used to have that says INTERCOOLER?
Dude, your shifting has come a long ways! Good job!
Cleetus for the love of God put a sticky note on your Holley Screen saying turn the intercooler on!!
DKM_502 it would blow off the first pass.
Ilikeboost at least it would be on. Then just slap another one on in the pits.
Fair enough.
what if the screen would give him a reminder when he is not moving at full throttle?
Josiah Jackson possible.
Absolutely phenomenal video- one of your best. Look forward to the next one.
19:15 You left Cooper hanging!!
Great run Garrett. I’m definitely excited to see you get down in the 7s. love watching your videos because you’re such a good story teller. What we need more of is coopers old man Florida hat
You out here zoomin
Hey Cleetus, something I did was run a witch that is triggered by the front of the pedal arm. This way it begins the soft limit hold the second that clutch pedal begins it's travel. It's better for rev control and you don't have to worry about it getting smashed!
HELL YEAH BROTHER!!
I literly said sending it for Dale in my head right before you said it in the video! So crazy lol. Glade to see Leroy loving the strip!
Those trucks need OH SH!T handles in them, because everyone always holds onto the roll bar, and if that thing flipped, it would crush your hand.. lol..
Calvin H. Thats why he has a hand harness to literally keep your hands inside the vechile at all times
I don't think you read my comment.. It started with, Those trucks.. As in the truck he was in that jumped, and he held onto the roll cage in the top of the cab..
Dude Cleetus, I'm always so on the edge of my seat watching your videos, love'm, great job
Dallas and cool air are not often uttered together...
BoilerBloodline yeah it’s in the 90s here, not very cool
95s here
Awesome times for Leroy!! The race trucks are cool as hell man, jump like a danged MX bike...Hell yeah brother..Great team, great car!
You should save your money for a Cleetus track!
And now he has one! Great idea.
I know I'm late but I have to say it, my name is Roy. And I clicked on this channel awhile back just because it said let's Roy the Savage. And now I can't stop watching this channel. Still makes me happy every time le Roy goes full Savage. Hell yeah brother, I need a death cart

Lmao at that 2nd gear grab at 4:15
Lmfao
He does it for Dale even at low speeds
oh my god this just made it even funnier lmao!!!
Jacob Orlando but.. Dale's dead.
So damn funny I can’t stop laughing
2:17! That's our boy Cleetus doing some balls to the wall driving. Very impressive.
GixxerDad 600 tires are now the weak link. They're pretty small for his power level and goals
Love the long vids Cleetus!! Keep doin’ it for DALE!!!!!
thumbs up . from Scotland
Jessie Rankin yasssss
yaldi
Love the Commodore at 14:16 ❤ theres some savage right there
Can you imagine if it had a rossler 3 speed automatic with a trans-brake and a good torque converter.damn son let those eagle's fly brother!!!
The sound from startline view as you rip down the track is fucking phenomenal
Man you drove the doors off on that last pass.
Pun intended
That whole video was awesome.. the last part was even better..
Leroy vs the street outlaw guys
gordo66061 thats not a contest. leroy is so light, hell drag pretty much any of them
Jnathan Nger except for the fact that they all have 6 second cars. And leroy only runs an 8
Andrew Lowery you plan to run him against the guys while they run nos?
Andrew Lowery pretty sure some are even faster then 6 he won’t run anywhere close ever unless he goes full promod
I'm no Chevy man... not at all... but I do love watching these videos where you push Leroy to the limit. The pass where you got sideways looked soooo good aside from getting sideways. Just the sound of it told me it was fast. Leroy is on track for 7s real soon.
that 7 dream will be on your channel soon
Savage isn’t even the word! Savage animal! 👍🏻👍🏻
@ 19:15 Poor Coop was left hanging
I like how you use the word "we" When you talk about the car and racing. It's refreshing that you acknowlege your partners and people that help you out along the way. Do it for Dale!
Leroy the savage 👍👍👍
That was a great ending jumping a car in a trophy truck! Congrats on the record speed too! Love these videos!
Let those BALD EAGLES Free!!!
This is the only RUclips channel I go out of my way to watch
Thanks new transmission is the shit for leroy the same way to go bag of chippers for all my rippers
That first pass made me slime for the rest of the video, I love Cleetus and leroy best combo in the world
Trophy truck was sick
I love hearing you shift man! Sounds so sick!
LET ER RIP, TATER CHIP!!
I cant believe you stayed in that first pass! That was impressive!
This looks like too much fun! Maybe I should strip my c6 lol
Full Throttle Drive don't. Find a crashed one.
Leroy is a c5 not a c6
Can't wait for SCT Dallas this week, going to watch Cletus earn that first 7 here in The Great State Of Texas...See you soon and shout out from Dallas Texas
It was the aero job by Brent
Great time, thanks for sharing! Skeet!
First missing gears , now forgetting to turn on the intercooler . what's next
He’s gonna forget to turn on his engine
Platique man I don't think he'll forget that.
Haha probably he gonna start forgetting to tighten his wheels
He'll figure out another reason to drag it out just a bit longer....gotta build them view counts.
Wheres youre 8.5 second car
"I get one warning, and then I get one more, and if I go too fast then im out..... so.... just gonna make one more pass... and see what happens" lmfao. hell yeah brother.
What a car. Get to drift drag and street.
Cletus my friend, Leroy is what I’d class as a hell of a toy. Bad ass brother from a brother in England
What is Leroy's 0-60 time?
well his 60 foot time is 1.1sec so 0-60 is probably pretty close at 1.4sec , ive seen street driven drag cars do 0-200mph in 3.8seconds in a 1/8 mile.
I'll be Frank I'm Leary about using my name,
BEST CATCH that I've seen in a long time: "street driven drag cars."

Amazing i can wait to see you and that bad boi Leroy!!!! I stay in dallas tx 3 more days to go!!!
Did a snail slime your hat?
Chris Collins sweat ring!
Cooper goo
Leroy is a savage!!! He's got 7's in him. You'll get there.
How are you going to show Cooper in that hat and just not talk about it?!
Your shifting has IMPROVED 1000%
5 Views, 372 Comments LOL
Stealthcola Would you please give my racing channel a Subscribe I have plenty of videos for you to enjoy
I love listening to Cleetus race at x0.5 speed and making him sound like a regular v8
I'm not sure I understand the "too fast so I can't run anymore" thing. The track has maximum speed limits, and you get kicked out for exceeding that speed?
southernbenz they certify cages to certen speeds.
Cool, thanks.
Jnl Jnl that's why people race on the streets
Too fast for his cage
Thanks!
Doing big things!!! Keep them coming brother.
no views but 341 likes. ok google.
I am seeing no views, 88 comment and 78 likes. RUclips is lowering his views or blocking them...
im seeing 100k views and no likes wtf
Can youtube lower your views and why
RUclips is pretty shady. I am sure they can do whatever they want, though this seems like an error. Now I see 182 comment, 911 likes and 2 views.
one must understand that youtube does not update the view/like count in realtime, and according to where you are watching from, IE: browser/mobile intranet connection as in work or school, you may see numbers that are many minutes old. also there are people who hit like before watching the video... because theres never a bad video outta this channel ;) TL;DR: utube is lazy with updating the view/like numbers.
i love the corporate cruiser. i got to see it in person and its huge
Pin and like if you think he will hit that 7 soon 💪👍
Leroy has come up alot from the first time you brought him to the channel
1 view with 758 likes?
noah burkhardt 3 views later it had 1200 likes 🤷🏼♂️
Guys, you can like a video before you watch it...That's why this happens.
Hearing him saying Dallas, personally living here in Dallas it’s going to be fun!
Going too fast at a drag racing event. I know they want you to have better safety and whatnot but come on. If you're going to let someone drag at all and restrict their speed then why bother?
PlanetaryPenguin321
I know for a fact that current cage in Leroy would not hold up to hitting the wall or flipping at 160 plus mph
thats a 8.50 cage made from chrome moly tubing it is stronger then it looks.
I freaking love this channel
Cleetus you need to wife that girl up brother
Damn that was a solid pass, the new trans has leroy rippin
First time I've ever heard about a drag car going too fast next thing you know it's going to be like NASCAR when you can only run small block naturally aspirated
wesley collins pretty common as cars get too fast for their equipped safety gear. NHRA has a whole list of rules for given ETs and trap speeds
His car looks to be safe enough to run 180 but I don't know the specs of the cage
wesley collins you must be very new to drag racing...
Cage has not been certified. Go watch his last video. Also they just shoehorned the nets in with hose clamps
wesley collins you think that his car would be safe rolling at 180 mph? Or was that sarcasm? That car would more than likely be a death trap if he crashed anywhere above 150
Hell yeah!! Leroy is kicking ass.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, your going too fast at a drag strip? They need to be invested in a go-kart track if they don't want people to run fast lmao
XiniK - I thinks it's. Because his cage isn't nhra rated
Im Nagumo ahhh that makes sense
They are just looking out for people, Leroy has a few safety issues for the speed he is capable of. They don't need him to crash at 160mph and die just because he wants to have fun and drag race. They were actually really cool to let him drag race at all
Considering the NHRA was the one handling everything that is.
Hey fellas, I think he said the cage was ok but just hasn't got it certified yet. Profab built the cage and they are more than capable of building a quality cage. I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure he mentioned that.
Leroy is a total savage. No question
I like beyblade
You sent that thang like a dadgum rocket!
Leroy the savage is now Leroy THE SAVAGE!
Dude. Cooper is the ultimate wingman to your craziness.
Can't wait for cooler air temps, I know Leroy will do a 7. Love your channel mate. I hang for your new vids every day now hahaha
19:15 cooper was left hanging lol (in the arms of an angel)
168mph... #pressinfor7s can't freaking wait!!!!!
Leroy is killin it! You need yourself a Kibbe built truck for sure!
O man that trophy truck ride would be badass!!
Clitoris upload more man!!!!!!! Best tuber on the interwebs.
