I can't say I am a massive fan of Dorje or Toska as they aren't really my sort of thing but Bea is such an awesome guitarist I'd watch him play a broom handle with a bit of string on it. Him and Danish Pete are by far my favourite gear demo guys at Andertons. That down-tuned ambient tone was luverly.
In a pizzeria, with Bea behind the counter... first they discuss pizza toppings and wood oven thermostats, and then they find out they are both guitarists, get out guitars and jam, and the whole pizzeria explodes!!! Well, maybe not that last thing, it might be a tad over budget.
"Two of us own the company, one of us owns the store, one of us is the artist"... that was hilarious but these Chapman guitars really seem quite intruiging. Any retailers where we can play/demo them in the US?
I could listen to Rabea play any style. The man has such an incredible instinct for phrasing and chord choices it's insane. Definitely one of the best guitarists on RUclips right now
He has the most beautiful chord progressions when he’s playing ambient....better than any drug. Just beautiful. Makes my day every time I hear him play.
terrydactyl spontaneous I can’t decide if I want this or the ml-1 Pro Modern... if you don’t mind me asking, how do the pickups hold up against name brand stuff?
Great company to deal with. Bought a lot of stuff from them recently. Best music store in the UK. No, I'm not associated in any way, just a happy customer.
I admire Rabea as a musician, I admire Rob as a supremely knowledgeable guitarist, I admire Lee's ability to play a D chord in every video and still appear surprised at how it sounds.
The best half hour I've spent on RUclips in quite a while. Every time Rabea plays I just have to stop and listen. Such a crazy talented guy. Superb tone, feel and melody. Utterly brilliant.
My dude‘s wearing a Frogleap shirt Dang i love this guy, so humble and chill... his Ambient Chord Progression is beautiful and i love watching him with Frogleap!
I've been marathoning all these Andertons videos for two reasons. One - I'm just getting back into playing guitar after a twenty-year "hiatus", and need all the information that is provided here. Two - more importantly, I am thoroughly entertained & enthralled by the presentation and genuine vibe that these videos have. After watching, I cannot wait to play. The hosts (Dan & Lee) have great chemistry and are engaging, which is rarer than one might think. There is a ton of information in every video, but they always maintain a relaxed, conversational atmosphere. Again, quite rare. Thank you for everything you're doing here. It's making a difference in people's lives.
I loooooovee this kind of Andertons videos! Really funny editing just adds to the video and when you leave all the funny things they say and not cut them out it really feels a lot more like a conversation and not a scripted review. Its not really digressing from the review or whatever the video is about if its edited like this :)
What a fantastic job you guys have been doing. I can imagine it must be hard to keep this show fresh. Nice to see you guys showcase your own folks. Keep at it!
I think Rabea is the best guitarist associated with Andertons Music Co. It's odd too, because the guitars he likes is the opposite of what I like. He likes bolt-on necks with 22 frets, where I like neck-thru with 24 or more frets.
I'm lucky enough to own one of these and I gotta say it's exquisite. Literally everyone who picks it up has the reaction of 'wow, that's amazing', and I basically cannot stop playing it. :D
Bea is one of my favorite guitar players alive today. I love his Sig guitar too. This year, I will probably get my first Chapman guitar and yours is a front runner right now. Good times.
I must say : the ML3 Bea (standars scale) is probably my favorite guitar in the Chapman range right now (which is not to say it's the only one I like, far from it ! :p). It's also way too expansive for me and my beginner level (well, IF I had the cash I wouldn't care I would treat myself with that guitar)
That's not a bad idea, especially with the new Player Series at Fender and its 'HH' Tele. BUT it won't have exactly the same woods and looks. But it is actually something I'm really considering. ^^
Ah, great stuff lads. Bea, you're killing it mate. Congrats to Lee and Rob on all the success of #chapmanguitars which are showing up everywhere. Quality will tell.
Lee's face while Bea is playing the baritone...priceless! xD To be fair though it makes some seriously impressive ambient sounds. Also loved his rendition of Decadence Dance.
I went to Andertons and played the ML3 Bea Baritone thru a mesa boogie express 50, using the amps distortion on burn mode, and it was one of the heaviest crushing sounds I have ever heard. Will defo be buying one!
Finally managed to find a used ML1-BEA that a guitar center had in, coming in the mail soon! these will be added to my collection at some point. keep up the great playing Rabea, you're a huge inspiration for me!
Damn. Rabea’s ambient style really speaks to me on a very deep level. I almost feel like how I felt when I first hear Stevie Ray Vaughan play, like my whole world just changed.
I've been interested in baritone guitars since hearing them in various jazz bands from the 70s and 80s. Even Miles Davis had one in his band for a while. The voicing was deep yet cut through nice and clear. Then, as I got into the psychedelic desert rock stuff, I started hearing them again. Getting the deep groove riffs going on them with fuzz and/or effects is just such a powerful fun feel.
@@tarkenton3895 At that point, they did, but they are way too expensive for Without Busting. And I believe Nuno used Randall Amps on Pornograffiti (which Andertons don't/have never stocked)
Holy sh#t so yeah this came in today and yes I can confirm this is a great playing and sounding guitar out of the box. The frets are wonderful the bridge is great the neck yes worth every penny. Like I said I waited long enough to give this a ride.

Hi! I've just received my ML3 Bea and am very happy with it. I'd also like to set mine up like Rabea with 11-52 strings for a drop C tuning. I was wondering wether the saddle comes prepared for these string gagues or if it needs to be filed. Thank you very much for your reply!

Everything makes a difference...the wood, the pickups, the strings, the neck construction. Not to mention your style of playing. So many variables. Especially ability / talent. I, for example, can make any £2,000 guitar sound like a £200 one... :-(
I love Rabea because he isn't so full of himself. It's nice to see the respect Rob has for him as an artist and a person, enough to step back here and let Rabea be the center of attention. 28 inches, indeed!
Very nice guitars, sick specs, dude is a lovely player, dorje and toska always seemed refreshing to me to listen to.. it's really cool to be able to buy these! Cheers!
Great vid as always, cheers for putting back the smutty part at the end, cracked me up, i might be in the minority today but to my mind these bits shouldn't be edited out in the first place, i mean they give the videos that blokes/dudes just hanging out, talking guitar and gear sort of feel, like some of the old Chappers and The Captain videos.
I can't say I am a massive fan of Dorje or Toska as they aren't really my sort of thing but Bea is such an awesome guitarist I'd watch him play a broom handle with a bit of string on it. Pretty much agree - not a metal / thrash fan but he's a very fine guitarist.
Totally agree! Exactly feel the same.
I feel exactly the same as well!
Strange you don't like Toska if you like this, but yeah I always like to see him play
"....I'd watch him play a broom handle with a bit of string on it." Great quote man. Agree!!
Captain meets Bea would be amazing.
In a pizzeria, with Bea behind the counter... first they discuss pizza toppings and wood oven thermostats, and then they find out they are both guitarists, get out guitars and jam, and the whole pizzeria explodes!!! Well, maybe not that last thing, it might be a tad over budget.

the wall of sound demo with the baritone is the moment when Rabea opens the door to film scoring, the next Ry Cooder, brilliant playing, great guy
The Bea is COMFORTABLY the best signature in the entire Chapman range. No contest.
