what a fuckin great band. What more proof do you need that zappa music is indeed the best. Any garage band can play black dog. The effort involved can only demonstrate the importance and love of Zappas music. thank you
First time i saw Zappa - 1973? - he was playing the old Municipal Auditorium in Atlanta - with Dr Hook opening. The Mothers had some trouble that delayed their set beginning, and the hall had a curfew - the show was over at eleven PM? - midnight? - even if it wasn't over, as it was. Zappa and co. came on for an encore, and ha announced that the had something like two-and-a-half minutes to perform "Cleetus Awreetus Awrightus", which they had never managed in under three before. They tore into it, got through the whole thing - and like ten seconds after they finished, the stage lights and power went off.
Great googly moogly that was glorious!!!!! I saw Uncle Frank about 35 times from 74-88,all the Halloween and the Christmas shows, and stood right in front of him at his greatest performance at The Ritz.
Awesome! Just soo much talent, it must have taken ages and lots of practice, Frank would have appreciated all the practice and hard work to do this. Brilliant!
When Aretha Franklin hiked in winter, she would always wear cleats to keep from slipping on the ice, earning her the nickname "Cleats". Unfortunately, her ill-fitting cleats deformed her foot resulting in chronic joint pain. At her examination, her doctor concluded that her condition was sufficiently anomalous to warrant its own latin name: "Cleatus Aretha's Arthritis".
Frank would have had your ass! You could do better! Tighter! Tighter! Tighter! Just ask Choc Corea, Jean-Luc Ponty and George Duke. Frigging great stuff THANK YOU and thank God we have you. Carry-on.
The spirit of Zappa will be happy.
He IS ❤
When I am in a frisky mood I play this on my phone when I walk into a place. If there ever was intro music or a said theme song for me this is it….
Exactly like me. This song is my antidote against sadness

An excellent version - Zappa will be proud
