Big Jim God Bless You Brother Your Awesome. Hope you and the family gad a blessed Thanksgiving jim. God bless you ans thank you for coming by when you can i knkw your super busy. Ty jim
Nice find. However the dash bezel has been changed, it has a 1972 dash with the seat belt buzzer by the lighter. 1970-1971 chevelles did not have seat belt warning in the dash.
My best friend growing up owned a Chevelle... it was not as nicely painted at this one - it was just brown. We probably drove that poor car right into the ground. ;)
I’ve never seen lights on the bottom front fender of a 70’ ss chevelle. Also, where the stripe stencils on the trunk meet they are usually towards the bottom, not midway up. Very strange.
I own a 70 Malibu Coupe cloned to this car....it’s striking...the white with black stripes and black vinyl top are unmatched in my opinion....also in upstate NY..in beautiful shape made in Canada..51 years old a really nice survivor...thanks for the video.
hey jim i know alot about that car . i bet you never found the heads. i know who does have them . along with the m22 . did you find the super t10 that he used before the turbo clutch went in . and the motor in it isnt a 632 its a 555 14 to 1 compression when you found the build sheet did you see the bolt wholes for the roll bar car never seen long island neither . i was a co pilot in that car from 1985 to as rescent as 2018
I understand it is a LS6. And would love to have it. But I have to ask. What is or would be the price difference compared to how it sits vs the original engine and transmission in it?
Good question. It would depend on the condition of the engine and transmission. Running vs not running/seized. Properly stored vs parked and walked away leaving the valves open leading to cylinder rusting leading to a complete rebuild. Many factors to consider to be able to determine a price difference. In this case, the engine was removed and disassembled. The block was protected. Very possible that you could hone it and it's good to go (I would love to be given the green light to go through the engine start to finish!!!!) The original pistons show incredibly well and without wear on the skirts. Wouldn't even think of putting the cam back in. Buy a new one with a new set of lifters. I would pay more for the car with the engine out and completely visible like this one rather than a seized engine that is still fully assembled and you have to deal with numerous unknowns. When you get to this level, you don't screw around and pinch pennies. Just do it the right way and protect the investment.
@@musclecarappraisal I guess I should have said Found unrestored with original engine and transmission. Do we even know if the one it is will fire up? My point is, the one as found vs the original as the condition of the one that is in it. In other words. If this would run price vs the original one in same running condition
a great barn find! In the UK on tv last week, a mini coopr s from the 60's was found and it was in half and a right mess but was valued at £5000 ! A right fixer-upper :)
An excellent detailed inspection of this amazingly well kept old car. I enjoyed viewing until the 24:17 end and gave you a well deserved thumbs up #89. Thank you for sharing my friend.

Car looks like it was painted. The dash has the late 71- 72 seat belt warning light so that dash isn’t original to the car
