I am near here sometimes. I work out of Austell from time to time which is right down Bankhead (or what ever they call it now) from there. Grew up not far from there too. Waiting for the KMart to go out of business across the street - lol

LOVE TRAINS LOVE TRAINS VIDEOS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK YESTERDAY I SAW ONE TRAIN GOING IN ONE DIRECTION IT WAS LONG THREE ENGINE AND I SAW ANOTHER GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION ONE ENGINE AND ABOUT TEN CARS THE LONGER TRAIN WAS BLOWING THERE HORN AT FIRST IT LOOKS LIKE THEY WERE ON THE SAME TRACKS BUT DIFFERENT I STOOD ON TOP OF THE BRIDGE AND WATCH THEM BOTH :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
So did the broken down train ever get moving again? I only ask because the video froze and started buffering at the 9:15 mark. And it's still buffering as I type this.

+Billy Turner A lot of times when the signals are amber or green a train comes within 15 minutes. If it's red it's dead and I go somewhere else. I never wait more than 30 minutes for a train at one location.
+Millenniumforce wow I never thought of that. I watch your videos all the time and love your work !! keep doing what your doing and thank u for responding !!
*Shades of the Illinois Central casualties of 30 April 1900* at Vaughan Yard, MS, USA - Train 83 snapped two drawbars letting Train 2 through; then, Train 72 blew an air hose, immobilizing it with Train 1 less than five minutes away. With no flares or flags to tip off J. L. Jones to the problem ahead, he slowed Train 1 for the saw manoeuver in orders only to plow into 72's caboose and three tail-end boxcars at some 20 m.p.h. Did anybody at the yard of origin for the stalled UP train notice deterioration of any of the air hoses?

Other than being what could have been a classic 0-60 quarter mile run, this looked pathetic with the five (5) huge general motors diesel smoking carcinogenic spewing engines pulling a modest load, but remained amusing. Have to wonder what the cost to return ratio is between those five engines running the job versus a single old steam locomotive pulling the same load.
Wow I didn't know you come all the way up here to railfan. My town 👍👍💯💯 So sweet!
Great meeting you today Alan! thanks for stopping by with the tour!
Great trains, great pictures, great sound. Cheers Bruno .
Thank you for your videos

that dang gate drives me crazy. It never stops with the bell. Looks like 23N with the UP and 322 manifest on the other train.
Norfolk southern and union Pacific are my favorite
Great video😊☺😊
Awesome video!
Good grief! How many cars on that manifest that pulled by the stalled UP?

Yes it did after a couple of hours. And yes this video always seemed to have a problem but I did away with the original so I can't re upload it.

Hey Alan !! Love your video's, they are awesome. I have a quick question... How do u know when these trains run ? Do u wait at certain crossings ?
+Billy Turner A lot of times when the signals are amber or green a train comes within 15 minutes. If it's red it's dead and I go somewhere else. I never wait more than 30 minutes for a train at one location.
+Millenniumforce wow I never thought of that. I watch your videos all the time and love your work !! keep doing what your doing and thank u for responding !!
+Millenniumforce The only bad thing for me is that there is no signals where I live and railfan. The closest place I know of is Scyracuse, New York.
Get you a scanner. A NASCAR scanner will work.
GT Railroad Videos™ like nascar like they use in racing?
I like train videos on RUclips 👍
You should stop in Douglasville. I railfan there on my spare time.
I so want that UP horn on my car.

GT Railroad Videos™ i think 23N or 23A heads through my town. 23A I think it is now. That train often has borrowed power too

Diesels can pull at .5 HP per ton. Steam can't do that, end of story.
