You forgot to bring up, Flushing transmission lines and cooler. Seen this many times, or reusing the old converter with trash fluid in it because people don't realize how much is in it.
Good points there. This video addressed some of the biggest issues we've seen during installation, but we always appreciate additional insight. Thank you!
i just got my transmission rebuilt, brought it home and installed it, was getting ready to bolt converter to flex plate and I noticed the squeaking exactly like what happened when you rotated the torque converter at 4:01. Is that anything to be concerned about?
Great question! No that's just the new pump bushing, seal, and input shaft sealing rings making a little noise. They will be bathed in fluid when running and the converter will also be piloted in the crankshaft. Nothing to worry about there.
I have the same transmission on my Impala, why do I get a squeal when I put it in reverse? When I shift it to other gears there's no squeal. Any ideas?
To know that you have a proper adjusted 700 r4 you must have a 21 downshift immediately after it shifts into second gear under light throttle when he's telling you somewhere correct but it's not true because I've been there a 100,000 times if you do not have a 2 to 1 down shift you do not have enough throttle pressure

When I was young and new to doing my own work I have done this before.
