I Had Lunch In Space At Disney World! | NEW Space 220 Restaurant At EPCOT Dining Review!

- In today's vlog we head to Walt Disney World's EPCOT to have lunch in space! We had lunch at the all new Disney restaurant, Space 220! This is a sit down restaurant that features a pre fixe menu. Lunch includes an appetizer and a main course and it's priced at $55 (at the time of filming this vid) and dinner is priced at $79 and includes 3 courses, an appetizer, a main and a dessert. There is also a kids menu for lunch and dinner and it's priced at $29 per person and is for kids aged 9 and under. You start your meal by taking the space elevator up 220 miles above Florida where you eat aboard the Centauri Space Station. You'll be surrounded by beautiful views of space, other space crafts and people enjoying space. We tried the cauliflower appetizer, the coffee rubbed steak and the vegan carrot cake. We had a really great time at the space station and enjoyed all the food we tried but we can't wait to get back and try more menu items soon!We hope you had fun going to space with us! We’ve been waiting for you to be back at media events. There are a few good Disney reviewers, but you guys are the OGs and speaking for my family (we are two moms & have 2 sons) your family and reviews resonate the most with us. Thanks for this review! Our next trip is January 2022 and we definitely are going to try and get reservations 🙂
It would have being cool if there was a meriorite shower and the lights go off and there is lights flashing maybe slow vibration on the floor. Kind of like In rain forest cafe with their “storms”
I”d pay an extra $20 for that experience. Only if it’s like “The Black Hole”.
Think they didn’t want a rainforest cafe kids freak out type thing. Even tho this place is expensive and prolly shouldn’t take little kids too anyway. So it would be awesome
The dining cleanup crew might not like the extra work.
They have something like that at the T-Rex restaurant in Disney Springs with the lights and the "dangerous" aspect. But I can see this restaurant maybe having a comet or something like that passing by in the distance, or some meteorites sprinkling down around you (in a non-violent way) and you can see them twinkle as they burn out around you. That might be cool!

FYI Tim- Liquid salt is an actual thing that NASA provides for on-orbit missions. Normal salt is not suitable for use in microgravity, since the crystals/granules will float away all over the place, which is not only inconvenient and difficult to use but also potentially hazardous to people or equipment. Liquid salt is basically just salt dissolved in water and dispensed from an eyedropper-style squeeze bottle, squirted directly onto food where it is either absorbed or held in place by surface tension. (They do the same with pepper too, using oil instead of water)

Haven't seen you ride Mission Space, and it was quite fitting considering the Space 220 restaurant you were going to. The restaurant itself seemed pretty cool. I'm kinda a sucker for themed restaurants like that.

What time did you have to be on the Disney app to make your reservation? I'm going in April and I know reservations open two months ahead, but I want to be prepared since I heard they go fast.

I swear to god they had this restaurant in my local mall growing up.
It was almost identical, but it was called like "Mars 2022" or something, it was my favorite restaurant as a kid.
I don't know why they closed it and have a hard time finding anything about it now, but you rode a spaceship to get into the restaurant and everything.
(For those who are interested, it was around in the early 2000's, located in Woodfield Mall, IL.)

I have watched other Disney reviewers at times and always come back to your channel as my primary source for everything Disney and Orlando. I don’t think I’ve missed an episode for four years and will continue to always be happy to see the notice that you’ve posted a new video, whether Disney, other Florida attractions, or a home vlog. When I was a small child our family took our first trip to Disneyland. We went on an attraction that I think was called “Rocket to the Moon”. The visual effects of this Space Elevator reminds me of that old ride.
We had Lunch at Space 220 a few weeks ago and loved it! Food and cast members were all fantastic. We would definitely go back!

I hate to be negative (and I know we should expect it from Disney) but the prices are nuts! Recently we went to a Michelin star restaurant, had 3 courses (main being beef wellington which was out of this world (no pun intended, lol) including our drinks and we paid £80 each, just saying.
Agree. We totally try cheap out on food at Disney csuse it's so $$$

In space, they don’t have regular table salt as it’ll float all around the cabin, so they have liquid salt to prevent mess. The more you know ❤️

I wasn’t interested in this restaurant when I saw the price point and menu, but watching reviews - yours included- has changed my mind. It’s now on my “must do” list for next summer.
