So we recently did Space 220 for lunch and while the kids liked it and it was cool (our service was great) to dine in "space", our bill for a family of 5 was over $300 for LUNCH!! The food was good, but not worth the price they are charging. We are glad we did it, but the price is going to keep us from doing it again. Its a one and done for us.
My experience at Space 220 (lounge) was pretty awful. It was our (me, my wife, and our friend) first time at Disney World, and my birthday. The waiter we had didn't acknowledge either of those things (we had buttons, mentioned it on reservation), didn't explain the menu at all, friend tried to order a steak after the waiter told us everything was available, starts asking him about other parts of the pre-fixe menu, friend says he just wants steak and gets told he can't do that (but he just said we could???) and then, we place drink orders, he brings out the wrong drinks, barely checks in with us, THEN HE CHARGED US THE WRONG AMOUNT!!! My entire trip to Disney World was absolutely spectacular. Space 220 was the worst experience I've had at Disney in general
@@rachelsdinglehopper yeah, it was a huge disappointment and it took SO MUCH TIME! We also did Be Our Guest, Tusker House, Tony’s Town Square, and Roundup Rodeo and we enjoyed all of those immensely (even if the food wasn’t top notch, the staff was) and then this was just… not. The atmosphere was kinda cool though!
If you’re ever in the Dallas Texas area we have a restaurant called Hudson House that has a lemoncello foam on top of their margarita and also their lemon drop. Both are so good!
I appreciate you all going into great detail I’m all your opinions I’ve always wanted to try space 220 unsure of what to expect 😊 I think I will be trying it now
Going in September for lunch with people who have never been. I am mad no filet on the lunch menu, but it is $20 cheaper. We are going for the experience not the food. I ate in the lounge once and honestly enjoyed everything I ate. I think we need more Dom in your videos btw.
We went and did the lounge side just to experience the restaurant environment last month. Everything was good and service was great. We probably won’t do it again though since there is so much to do in Epcot.
Yeah I tried to get reservations for Space 220 8 a.m. The day I could make reservations for my vacation. Were booked instantly. Bier Garden too though.
Great review . I think if I went I would try and grab a bar side reservation so I could experience the vibe but not spend a ton of money . Doing great on your videos. Yeah!!!!😊
We ate there on 10/18/24 for lunch and they didn't have a filet on the menu. They had steak and frites and the steak was the worst tasting steak (actually no taste) I've ever had and I've eaten buffet steaks in the 70's. The frites were a cheap imitation of McDonalds fries. We were also in there for 2 hours and 15 minutes and I was over the atmosphere after 10 minutes. However, the blue moon cauliflower was excellent and my wife liked the salmon. Love your reviews and they helped us on many occasions on our latest trip!
The steak honestly to me looks like a perfect medium rare - pink though out with a warm red center. Rare is pink on the edges with a cool red center. It if is "blue" it is raw, send it back. You may be going for medium which is pink through out, no red. So rare (pun intended) for medium rare to be on the money, but that does look like a perfect medium rare IMO. Love your videos!
I went to Space 220 back in June just for a lounge reservation, but I felt it was very overrated and the drinks as you said were just okay but nothing i’d come back to get. There wasn’t really veggie options which was disappointing because we probably would have got something to eat but it felt very meat eater oriented :/
My son has autism and has a restricted diet, so for $55 he had chicken tinders and fries. He is a adult so in disneys eyes he pays full price regardless. We had the same in ohana. To make up for the high price they just bought him two plates of tenders and fries, far too much for him to eat. Regardless of him for a salad with steak tips and breaded cauliflower the flower was so over priced, but the restaurant it self was so good, you have to try it once. We won't be going back
Went for lunch in February and was not impressed. Service and food were meh! Especially for the price. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and there were not a lot of options for me. My husband has no food restrictions and he didn’t live his food either.
I hope I don't see an inedible tail still on the shrimp! I deduct points for that. I don't know why so many restaurants do this! Everything on the plate should be edible (except for the shells, of course, which some use as spoons). When I shell shrimp at home, I am able to get most of the entire tail out of the shell, so it is just the tail meat. Even if it comes off, I'd prefer that to be done in the kitchen before it gets to the pan/my plate. Love ya!
The atmosphere is good until you get into the actual dining room. It's all grey and dull looking, and the big screen isn't really that realistic looking. The food is good, but it's not $100+ per person after tax and tip good. You're definitely paying for the space elevator and other atmosphere.
I had such a bad experience here last year and I felt so bad for my 3 friends who joined me🥹 ended up buying all of them a meal at sci fi to make up for it because I felt so guilty. It was that bad😢 thanks for the review!
Thank you for your truthfulness when you are reviewing the foods and drinks. It is so helpful when planning our trips to Disney! Thank you!

It’s a good thing we’ve got Dom there, he’s a master chef. Thanks 🙏 for inviting Dom.

That totally sucks - especially for a birthday meal! Glad you enjoyed the rest of your trip! Not running to try space 220 anytime soon. 🤷🏻♀️
@@katcalico9142 honestly, with all the amazing food in Epcot, it’s suuuuuper skippable
we had a similar experience which is really sad... it was such a downer on a very anticipated meal🥹

There is still hope! Try Mousewatcher.com
I got this reservation a few days before using their website
From my experience you get two types of restaurants the ones with excellent theming or the ones with excellent food rarely do you get both
We were just there! So sad we missed you
But is it as good as Jollibee gravy?

I really enjoyed the carrot cake at space 220. It was light which was a pleasant surprise as carrot cake is usually dense.

The steak looked perfect to me
Thank you Kristen!!😊 luv your honest food reports. I don't like the set price for the meals. 😮

Are there reservations for the lounge or is it walk up only?
Reservation only
@@wrightdownmainstreet thank you.
I keep trying to get a reservation for the lounge.... I really want to do it at least once
Maybe you should check out MouseWatcher

Why does it always look so dark in there? I like to look at my food in bright light.
Probably cos it’s supposed to represent out of space 🙄🥴😂😂
This place reminds me of a upgraded mars 2112

It looked like a good dinner, but was it worth 79.00?
Thanks for the review!
If it’s a special occasion or someone’s first time yes! As a repeat visitor probably not. I would rather go to a different signature restaurant
I’m bummed that they took the Nebula off the cocktail menu. It was a delicious bourbon drink. I have a copycat recipe if anyone is interested. 🍹
We loved our food. We definitely will be back
I Love the Vid, so Great
Hmmm, not seeing $80 there for that meal and it’s really loud. Probably not
Hey, For The Love Of Theme Parks
WOOOOOOO
Not worth the price! Awesome ambience but overpriced. Kids burger was same pattie as regular menu burger 😢 thanks for the great content Kristen!

Are all of these dining companions professional vloggers, or do they have jobs in addition to vlogging? What about you?
