Nice job, a fair amount of messing about to get it fitted, was a bit surprised when you didnt do a test fit.
Having owned an XR8 with these plastic trim pieces not fitting great from factory i personally prefer the stock look.

Nice job mate. I have to say I'm not looking forward to doing some of the stuff that you did on this video.
The gimp that owned my ute before me didn't secure the exhaust properly so the pipe has buckled and melted part of the back bumper. I'm planning on taking it off, belting out the buckle, sanding away the melted section and putting the bumper back on. I'm sure now I'm a bit more confident in how to actually do that.

@@Horus_Works mate when I bought mine the diff was blown and the guy was generous to put another one in the back of the tub which was leaking oil everywhere. Had to drive the thing home in slow motion.
Need to work on getting all the hail-like dents out now if you have a video on that stuff!!

For the hole in the rear bumper you can stick in some rubber u channel edge trim, just incase you get a tow bar later on.

Nice job just cant match an acrylic spray can against 2k paint but at least painting the panel not patch repairs it looks neat and tidy nice ute

Hey mate, yes I found that the tailgate gets in the way of removing and fitting the bumper. But it's super easy to remove and fit back on - it's only a few bolts 👍

Hey mate where did you pick this body kit up from? I’ve seen on eBay a complete body kit vary from 1000-2000$ and not sure if wreckers would have any better prices. Cheers
Hey mate, your best bet is to keep a lookout for private owners wrecking their XR6 or XR8 utes. A scrapyard pays about $500 for crushing a car, so with this info as ammo, you can haggle the seller on price and say you only want the plastic bits glued to the side. People are asking crazy money for kits now because even these cars are getting rare, but at the end of the day you're still only buying 20 year old plastic trim. I waited for 6 months until I found a guy who was wrecking one locally that was reasonable. Thanks for watching 👍
Sorry mate there’s no blanking plate for the towbar , you have to cut a piece out of another bumper and fill it in , good job btw .

What springs, struts etc you using?
Hey mate, the rears are leafs from King Springs, and Ultra Low King Springs in the front with Monroe Sport shocks. I was worried about the front bottoming out, but surprisingly everything clears, even with the 20s
Does anyone know if the fit a Au Ute as well
Hey Shelby, they will definitely go onto a AU as well. Both the cab and the tub are the same from AU S1 to BF S3. This vid should help you get it done, and hope I can count on your sub! 😉👍
