@@REAPERMania LOL! Here we go! Anyhow, thank you for these videos and Reaper, I came back to making music after over 25 years and so much has changed for the better... I can get back into the groove after investing minimal $$$ for the equipment. Your videos are amazing, I am amazed by all the possibilities today... compared to back in the day.
Thanks Kenny. Could you do a tutorial on a snare drum sound like Billy Squier's "The Stroke?" Kind of a white noise/snare wire buildup to the transient. Thanks again.
Thanks Kenny! I have a Question: Could you please explain, how to make time changes within a song for different bars - for example 7/8 to 5/8 to 4/4 and so on...all within a Song. Just can't fgure it out...
Hi Kenny I know if out of topic but there is any video explaining if I can send on track to multiple buses? for example send one snares to 2 reverbs with one send? if exist will be awesome.
maybe with an intermediary track, which you send to two different reverbs and have the target track routed to it on a single receive, and turn off the Master/Parent send on the intermediary track
It is not clipped, just big waveforms. Also, please give this a watch: ruclips.net/video/5efick6yJA4/видео.html If the master doesn't clip in Reaper, you're virtually OK.
@@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials From what I understand, an audio file in the DAW doesn't need to be "floating point", the DAW itself is and treat them as so until they're render/mix down (at least on the clipping side of things). If you meant during the initial file export he did, maybe... But Kenny mentioned in multiple videos he likes to use HUGE waveforms (just display them this way), I doubt the playback of one snare sample clipped his output on export. But what do I know ;) cheers
@@CrazyBaloney it’s not into the DaW. He exported the audio to a file (not a 32Float but a 24bit) and imported it into the DAW. So: because probably the peak of the sample was a bit too loud, it’s clipped. And it’s not recoverable. If it was 32float or 64float, it could be easily recovered
I suspected that's what you meant as I already pointed out in my last reply: "If you meant during the initial file export he did, maybe... At 2:00 my jaw dropped and I thought"he did what?". Brilliant way to sample, thank you so much.
Same! Been wondering how I could get my favourite drums out of battery!!
Def Leppard used hand claps and all sorts of stuff in their snare mix.
It's why Mutt Lange is such a damn genius.
as a child of the 80's I really appreciate that. F***ing brilliant. lol
Some of this totally reminds of ZZ Top Afterburner from '85. Awesome! Love the vids!
Same producer I think.

Hello! You know a lot about Reaper. I feel happy because I can watch all these videos. Thank you from Colombia!
LOOOL You made me laugh so much with these crazy sounds !!
The much funnier is that they were for real !!
Yeah. Still amazed that we liked them. LOL
What's funny? Production was in it's prime back then, no stone unturned...... they spent over 2 years on this album
@@ryananthony4840 I wrote "crazy" sounds. Do you know Spike Jones ?
Should I explain you the mecanism of laughing ?
If you like these kind of techniques Bobby Huff is also a great follow.
Yes! the doctor!!
Mutt Lang also used to reverse the snare drum for Def Leppard.
Signing up for your paid tutorials right now!!! Thanks, good Sir!
This video is a great argument for pooled audio items in REAPER!
Absolutely love your content. It helps tremendously. Keep up your great work Kenny.
Perfect, Thank you so much! 🙏❤️
Excellent topic Kenny ... one more topic I would like to see from you for reaper is the toms with gated reverb treatment ...
Thanks Kenny. Could you do a tutorial on a snare drum sound like Billy Squier's "The Stroke?" Kind of a white noise/snare wire buildup to the transient. Thanks again.
Interesting technique, thanks for the info Kenny!
Love it! Thank you, Kenny.
Surprised. I was expecting another gated reverb snare, this is a fun one for a lot of genres that need a fuck off loud sample.
Amazing..👍
Could use some nice plate reverb to make it even bigger!
Yes.
Thanks! Very useful for me 😊
He means that crappy, puddle of water snare sound we can thank Mutt Lange for popularizing with Def Leppard.
LOL
Ciao Kenny, how can I do the same with real drum transients? Grazie!!
Why not gated reverb?
Good question, I hope we get some answers on that
@@unclestarwarssatchmo9848 Kenny has done a video on that. It's really good.
Sure.

Great!!
Nice tip Kenny. Man you brought back good memories of good music. Hey where is that live folder output located on PC and MAC?

How did you know I need this? ❤️
Coooool
I see the snare transient is clipped, or at least it seems so. Ok not big issue since the distortion it's not really hearable

@@CrazyBaloney I know about the clipping in reaper. Although that track being not exported at 32Float, is clipped

Right. The Sweet and Def Leppard. I need that. 😁
