A nice detail from the nursery scene, the stuffed animals on the floor by the cribs.
One is a green tiger, the other a unicorn. Nice touch.

This series managed to pull out some great lore references. The back and forth between Orko and Gwildor was genius. After hating Gwildor since the 80s live action movie this show got me to love Gwildor. I honestly hope Mattel and DreamWorks work out a deal to do a continuation of She-Ra with this animation.

I still don't understand WHY they own She-Ra when it was a Work for Hire gig along with Fimation He-Man. That's like saying I can't make anymore Miller Beer commercials cause you bought the company that made the commercials for me in the 80's.

They even integrated that weird robot crab playset from the 80’s. This show is really helping tie together so many random MOTU toys and sets into a cohesive thing.

I'm glad they recreated the she-ra scene, and I predicted the keldor is skeletor in disguise twist, I also said Hordak couldn't die, and he was there, all Darth Vader style just sleeping, as he's being healed, I just hope we can see modulok, Misquitor, and Dragstor, even multi-bot, and the mantisaur, in whatever part comes next.

My best bet is that the reason Mattel ended the monarchy to make Adora integration in next part less of a issue to get rid of the princess part, since princess part of princess of power would likely be a legal issue. HYPE FOR SEASON 3!

oh i've been waiting for this one, aj. 😊
i remember how excited you were in the (non-spoiler) review video, you weren't sitting and you couldn't stand in one spot more than 5 seconds 😂 i know you've been dying to share your thoughts with us.
    i can't get enough of revolution !
i've watched it once per day since thursday and when i am not watching it, it's on in the background (by the power of bandwidth !)
this show had me laughing almost as much as it had me crying (which is lot) the one-liners were solid gold, skeletor's "lord 'look-at-my-abs' adam" too me tf out 😂 and evil-lyn telling teela that she was the "forbidden fruit that lift's [he-man's] loincloth" 😭 gurlll, i was NOT prepared ! THAT had me doubled over
speaking of lyn, i'm so happy for her ! srsly, this woman has been through IT omg and now she's a cosmic enforcer ! 😭👏🏽 YASSSS
i was so happy to see zodac again, since the masterverse comics i've been hoping he'd pop up in animation at some point.
(although....it's quite bittersweet because with lyn now a cosmic enforcer, it's likely we'll be seeing her less in future episodes....also, does this mean she's not gonna get with duncan after all? like DRAT, i was rooting for those two 💔 oh well....we all know duncan's much too handsome to stay single for long, don't forget this dude pulled TWO sorcereress - what's his secret ??)
i love the implication of he-man and teela living in castle grayskull together, it's like their first apartment as a couple 😂
but keldor being in the dungeon might disrupt their alone time, i guess we'll have to wait and see.
(ps knowing that chris and mellissa are married IRL made the adeela scenes that much sweeter)
speaking of keldor, i'm hoping he will get a redemption arc in the season. i think there isn't much more he can do as a villian. i mean, besides fusing the powers of magic and technology, let's not forget that he also became an actual GOD in the last season. i don't really think he can get any more powerful without it just be treading the same groud, so next time we see keldor, i hope we see his softer side and maybe he can be good.....like, if evil-lyn can do it, why not skeletor?
i really enjoyed hearing your thoughts, aj. sorry about the long ramble of a comment.😅 i'm still riding that high off of revolution.
have a powerful week and i hope your sinuse headache has cleared up ♡

Given that this series is a direct continuation of the original Filmation series, when Hordak states he has conquered every planet he visited, it implies Etheria as well. The Despara we witnessed is She-Ra with her memories erased, akin to what Hordak did with Keldor.

Dude, I absolutely loved Resolution!!! It was very exciting and emotional!
    Hordak was simply awesome!
Grizzlor, Mantenna and Leech were frightening!
It was cool seeing new characters, Keldor, Rio Blast, Snout Spout, Buzz Off, Stratos, Stonedar, Gwildor and Granamyr!
The costume changes were really well designed!
I wasn't happy when Skeletor killed Hordak, I wasn't expecting that to happen.
The scene where Adam calls upon the power while holding Teela was very beautiful and emotional.
    Damn, I want more episodes!!!

This was an awesome season! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I only wish we could have got more eps. I desperately hope they bring in Adora for next season, though I do wonder how they will write Randor and Marlena's reasons for not telling Adam about her. I mean, they had enough chances during this season to tell him, especially on Randor's deathbed, and when the Horde attacked Eternia, that should have made Marlena want to at least find out what Hordak did to her daughter. This is all theory, but I can think up 2 reasons why they didn't... 1; they think Adora is dead, and like any parent who lost a child they tried to bury the painful memory of it. Or 2; they literally don't remember. In the Filmation series, the sorceros cast a spell to make everyone on Eternia forget about Adora to spare them of her loss, except for her, Randor, Marlena, and Man-At-Arms. Maybe something similiar happened in this series, except Randor and Marlena also forgot because losing Adora was too much for them to handle.

Was it just me, or did Revolutions take a page out of My Adventures with Superman?? I mean, I love it and all, no way to miss though that its the horniest version of He Man I've ever seen! More, please!!!!
More Lynn talking about how she's the "forbidden fruit" that "lifts He Mans loincloth!" More He Man and Teela um, "transforming" together!
I mean, I wouldnt want them to do anymore Skeletor and Evil Lynn in the throneroom in Grayskull scenes (yuk! Awful!) But that whole line running through the show of He Man/Adam and Teela being head over heels for each other brought some much needed levity, humor and heart to the whole series.
Quoting Lynn, "He Man and Teela sitting in a tree. K i s s i n g!" By the power of Grayskull, indeed!
They are just adorable in their new power couple getup, aren't they?!?!

Love your review!!!! Loved this Masterverse Revolution
    You got it all mostly
But dont forget how Adam join powers with Teela! So its He-La!!! Plus i love how He Man said to Teela
    “You have the Power Teela”
The Republic of Eternia is interesting but much better than the comics where Randor dies eaten as a snake or King He Man becomes evil or they go to earth and meet Justice League or the Horde are just too powerful you have to stab Adam or She Ra or Keldor so many times
This was the perfect He Man story for me. i hope Good-Lynn joins the Cosmic Enforcers and perhaps Kevin Smith may persuade Dreamworks to get a series of Despara / She Ra
Again.. like you, Im wathchingbit over and over again.
Ps: the voices were too amazing! Supergirl as Teela was perfect! And the cast from Star Trek were sublime: Captain Keldor of Enterprise, Queen Dr Crusher, Zodac Weyoun, Q the Magnificent Granamyr
Pss: cant wait for the action figures

A single scene from Classic 80's show, such as He-man smashing the _Diamond of Disappearance_ is able to carry more depth, beauty, emotion and cinematography than the whole netflix series _(I am not even talking about plot or story telling, it is about Art : nothing will ever beat the sinister look-and-feel of Grayskull castle in the TV show)_ .
Let us face the facts: There is no way to beat Filmation Disney-like design fuelled by Shuki Levy's Majestic Symphonic Soundtrack and Organic Psychedelics' approach for architecture, lifeforms, etc.
The bar is high, and King Randor wearing MCU's Iron Man Hulkbuster won't convince me...
But the worst: Adam was a sagacious young man, playing the fool to preserve his identity, and He-man was a wise character. In this series, they just make Adam/He-man become all stupid.

They MUST have a deal in place with DreamWorks. To include those nursery Easter eggs and Despara seems indicative that they do. Otherwise, it should be a topic to avoid. Teasing fans and then not paying off the tease properly will lead to a great revolt of the Smith-Verse. Revolution has been a great redemption - a bad tease will only ruin that.

I LOVED that MOTU: Revolution is acknowledging He-Man & She-ra are TWINS ( no matter what name they have to use or not use for legal reasons ). Of all the MOTUPOP related Netflix reboots, this is the first one I've clicked the like option on, and THAT is the MAIN reason why. The S/Keldor flashback of Hordak ( a flawless dark fairytale scene, with Hordak looking every bit the part of some ancient, demonic warlock, abducting a baby sister princess as in some ancient, dark fable ) abducting Adora from her & Adam's nursery gave me chills!! Most thrilling moment of the show ( though I also sure enjoyed Teela's bootyful, sexy, dazzling joint transformation with Adam, and her epic new central tower lion outfit! )!!
Didn't like the pagany angle and the destructibility of Preternia. Loved Granamyr, Shatner & John de Lancie's voice work, hated losing Granamyr etc.
Regarding the rights and She-ra, it's REALLY complicated. Mattel owns the copyright & trademark for the She-ra character and for most of the POP characters who had toys in the original 1980s MOTUPOP era, but NBCU/Dreamworks owns Filmation He-man &, seemingly, all movie/tv rights to She-ra.
THAT SAID, A, obviously Mattel & Dreamworks should work out a deal to allow both twins and their main castmates to each appear in the other's media.
HOWEVER, even if that doesn't or hasn't happened, I think Mattel has done the right thing and is in the clear to forge ahead with the twins tale under the Despara etc. I suspect that was part of Rob David & company's plan when they first started introducing Despara in the 2010s. Dreamworks may have tv/film rights to the specific look and name of She-Ra, but NOBODY has exclusive rights to stories with superhero twin sisters. There is no legal statute to stop The Witcher, Superman, the Harry Potter series, or any other major genre franchise, from giving their main character a twin sibling with super powers. Neither Dreamworks nor Mattel can legally tell the other "you can't give He-Man/She-ra an unnamed, blonde haired, opposite gender twin in your movies/shows, because everyone is going to automatically know who they really are..." It doesn't work that way. Mattel can give He-Man a blonde, twin sister, even without any agreement from NBCU/Dreamworks, as long as they call her She-ra and put her in the trademarked She-ra costume.
I frankly think that both NBCU/Dreamworks and Mattel should give one another a fair amount of lenience to both use He-Man and She-ra, along with whatever MOTU/POP toys appeared in BOTH the original Mattel 1980s toylines/minicomics AND the original Filmation era MOTUPOP cartoons, as long as both companies do so reasonably and respectfully ( i.e. Mattel only uses She-ra as a supporting character, and doesn't try to make a show with her as the titular lead, and Dreamworks respects the same parameters regarding He-Man ). I'm pretty sure NEITHER side wants to start being a stick in the mud or a tyrant about "their" legal rights, because the legal rights are SO tricky and complex, they could easily wind up locked in legal contention for years, and might wind up unable to freely use characters they THOUGHT they owned. The rights regarding not only She-ra, but also the whole Evil Horde ( & both Mattel & Filmation worked on designs for both the POP girls AND the Horde boys, as seen in Hordak's early designs ), are a lot more complex and ambiguous than either company likes to let on. Better for both companies to just take a relaxed approach, and give leeway on both sides.
That said, I DO think Mattel has worked out a deal, or is at least confident that they are in good legal standing, BECAUSE, Despara refers to Horde Prime by name. Horde Prime is ENTIRELY a Filmation creation, PRECISELY like Shadow Weaver, and MUCH MORE so than She-ra. She-ra, Catra, Frosta etc ALL had Mattel designed toys in the original 1980s era, and all appeared in minicomics, with She-ra's origin minicomic featuring He-Man, the Sorceress, Hordak and Man-at-arms. Horde Prime NEVER appeared in toy form ( not until the 2010s MOTUClassics era ), nor in the original minicomics. Horde Prime was 100% Filmation, so if they are using him, they can use She-ra.

@@biggreek4022 It was the combination of Demo Man (Green Havoc) with Keldor (to prevent Keldor from dying) by Hordak which resulted in the complete skull face of Skeletor in 200X. The acid was Keldor's vanity and chance of being accepted as King being wasted due to his own actions. The power of Havoc (green evil essence) is a recent interpretation specifically promoted in the CGI show but embraced in Revolution as the origin of the villains power. It does tie into the Faceless One (Evil-Lyn's father) which Revelations mostly ignored or reinterpreted as the avatar to the entrance of hell with the missing head. LOL some canons you embrace and others not.

So no one is gonna talk about the big purple cat in the middle of the room? Everyone who dies in the events of Revelation deserves to spend eternity in Preternia. Except Panthor? I call bull$#itery and shenanigans. If Panthor doesn’t get an eternal reward, Lynn shouldn’t get a redemption arc.

Motu Revolution is Kevin Smith & Ted Biaselli's version of Rise of Skywalker.
Thankful it was only 5 episodes. Not even worth rewatching.
-Keldor popping up (no explanation to the uninitiated) saying "I should be king" & Adam saying "ok here's your crown".
    -Evangelion monsters... why?
-Keldor & Andra making a techno-vaccine & microchip Eucharist? Jeez Kevin.
    -Wasted use of Hordak.
-Backhanded push of Teela & Adam
    "relationship" after Season 1 mess.
-Adam giving up his lineage of what Randor built to end it and start a
"democracy" with no rules /policies... just let people figure it out.
What about the other nations in Eternia?
    Avians, Andreenids, etc.
MYP 200x Randor built a council.
This one is "Andra you got my vote (after technovirusing the people of eternia)"
This is Disney Star Wars. Trash.

Wellll.....not that you can't have that opinion if you want to. Just FYI, right after I got sick of all the toxic, negative backlash about Revelations part 1, I gave She Ra 2018 a chance.
Surprisingly even to me, this totally straight woman found the show to be amazing. Tons of heart. Great storyline about Adora learning to be her own person.
After all she's been through, I feel like Adora deserves whoever makes her happy😊
I mean, I know she's a fictional character, but I was absolutely rooting for catradora by the end! 😊😊😊
      That finale made me cry!!!

@lionmom7629 I liked it, up until Catra told Adora she loved her. Me😒
And while it was a heartfelt finale, the CatrAdora thing killed the whole thing for me, a straight teen-soon-to-be-adult male. I don't know if it is the fact that Catra and Adora/She-Ra didn't interact much in the Filmation show or what, but yeah, making CatrAdora a thing killed the show in my opinion. I will stick with the CG Netflix He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and MOTU Revelation and Revolution.

@@TobyKester9 The CGI show was wildly different, but I liked that one, too. It was made to include a younger audience, so no romantic subplots, but again, it does great with family stuff. The whole plot of Krass turning into Rampage, and coming back to the team at the end, the focus on Randor and Adam, and on mending that father son relationship puts the show on another level. That's the thing about this franchise. Its got a lot of heart. And the CGI show also really played around with the lore and reimagined it, a lot. But it was cool. Its not my absolute favorite version, but its a solid addition.

@lionmom7629 sure is. I actually really like it, and I can't wait for Season 4! With the way Keldor said, "You have no idea what's coming," and starts laughing, plus the Hordak cameo, it has got me hooked and got me hyped!!

Already fused keldor with a demon. To make him Skeletor by hordak.... Going back to revolution was amazing only think I didn't like was. To abolish the monarchy. That was woke as fuck but other than that. Was amazing I loved it

@@culeroconnor1686 King Randor did a terrible job. When the magic left Eternia he was basically doing nothing. Adam abolishing the monarchy speaks to his character. He's not like Skeletor who wants to be a tyrant.
