Thanks for the instruction. Very helpful. One question if I may... how do I prevent loss of data from the original drive?

2 options. 1. Image original to SSD (shrinking image if SSD is smaller). 2. After SSD install put original in a USB case, plug it into the computer and copy the files you need to the computer.
