They ARE amazing to experience live! If you ever get the chance to catch a show with them… DO IT!
Couldn’t agree more!
Seen these guys in 2019 @ “Aftershock” in Cali! Besides TOOL headlining the festival itself, this was the 2nd best band that I’ve ever seen live. We literally watched 60,000 migrate to the center stage to watch these guys perform! They deserve their own day headlining this festival and any other for that matter! 🤙🏽
T-O-T-A-L. B-A-N-G-E-R!! Dude that was just badass. I loved the sound,it was brutal and hit you in the face, but yet it was melodic and awesome. Loved it.
Right!!!!! Perfection
This is usually their closing song during live shows, not gonna lie, when I first heard them live I almost cried during this song and I wasnt the only one. This band live is much more than just energy and music, two of their concerts are the best shows Ive ever been to. Gojira does something more than most of the bands, like its some kind of otherwordly experience, I just cannot stop listening to them since the very moment I took a minute and payed a bit more attention to their discography. After their first live performance I saw, I immediately bought tickets to the next one lmao And the next one was equally amazing. Another fantastic live performances is Where Dragons Dwell at Hellfest or Pray at Red Rocks, both in different mood but also amazing
I believe you. I felt such a weight during this song.
I saw them for the first time in Houston last year, and exactly like you said, I almost started crying when they started playing this song! The rest of their set had been so amazing, and I knew this was the last song (it's also one of my favorites), and I just didn't want it to end!
@@johnnythevis9486 Yeah, fully agreed. Their shows are such a beautiful rollercoaster of emotions, kick of energy straight into the face during Born for one thing followed by Backbone, absolute madness in circle pit during Flying Whales, heavy and melancholic mood with L'Enfant Sauvage, singing Stranded or The Chant in unisono with the rest of the crowd, then another energy punch with Grind just to float in the air during its outro and so on. And then the encore comes, lights go out with only few red/orange ones and you know that this amazing tapping riff with is about to start and the whole show is coming to its perfect closure. I probably wouldnt fully believe those words before my first show, I was just thinking that Im gonna just enjoy another good show by a good band but it definitely was something else! Now Im kinda addicted and gonna buy tickets to another Gojira show whenever I find theyre playing any close to me
One of the few bands that evoke such power and emotions. Well at least for me. You can tell how much pain, anger and frustration is in their music.
So unique. I love how the drummer can single-handedly completely flip the feel of the monotonous parts. What a band!
Dude, seeing this live and hearing the sound...wow, gotta see em live.
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Highly, highly recommend. This song was the closer when I saw them live last year. I wasn't expecting it all, and it blew me away. I wasn't sure I'd ever get to see it or The Art Of Dying live, much less both on the same night!
BIG facts!! This is my favorite song from them! Puts me in a trance every time. Especially being a drummer🤘🏻
This song was my first that I ever heard from Gojira. It's always resonate with me. Great reaction as always.
I recommend Flying Whales to listen to.
I saw them in Council Bluffs, IA play to less than 1000 people in august 2023 and they played their asses off. Best live band I've seen personally.
In the most over the top French accent:
"Vas zat a mozerfooking UFO???"
It was such an amazing show, I was there also.
Seen them in Nashville with Mastodon and Lorna Shore. It’s an unearthly experience not only musically, but the led screens just make it into an absolute trip.
Saw that your in Denver, one of my favorite concerts. And I go as often as possible, my wife and I average 10-12 shows a year.
Gojira true sons of mother DEATH (R.I.P Chuck)
Joe in 2009 was his reicarnation +his own style
YESSS!!! THIS IS IT! I recommended this song too a while ago! Glad you are listening to it now!!!!!
hahah Thanks for sticking around friend!
Dude I want to see them live so bad ... almost did, but would've ended up costing too much for a weekend trip. L'enfant sauvage is a great album ... now I just want to listen to Gojira all night! Stay Metal! 🤘🤘
Bro, we gotta see em!
They’re touring the states so you can see if they’re going to your town!
That was pretty much my reaction the first time I heard this song. I’m 55 and been into metal since I was about 8. For me, Gojira are the pinnacle. Never heard a band like them before. If you haven’t heard it, check out A Sight to Behold. That is another mind blowing song.
I love Gojira but I haven't heard this one. This is great and I'm adding it my playlist. 🤘
HELL YES YOU NEED TO! I have been listening to it since recording!
Saw them at Red Rocks with Opeth and and they were phenomenal. Both bands filmed the show for dvds so there's plenty to react to from it.
I’ve seen gojira live three times and I can’t wait for the fourth!
They are 😚🤌live, one of if not the best band I’ve seen live.
I need to see em
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody definitely a life must! ☺️
Gojira is my favorite band . Ive seen them live 8 or 9 times now and they just continue to blow my mind not only are they spot on with the studio recordings they have great live engineers that no matter the venue their sound is always amazing. Mario is a complete beast on the drums. go see them live whenever you get the chance .
Yes, they’re this good live. I saw them in August with Mastodon and Lorna Shore. They’re incredibly tight, and they bring the energy to every show. Joe has had to switch to more clean vocals as time has gone on, so the video you watched is him arguably at his peak.
Another fantastic live performance is Oroborous live at Eurockeennes 2009. Ridiculous energy.
I gotta see em!
That drummer is incredible. I just had to look him up, is this Mario Duplantier? also known as Evil Mario? I need to check more of this out. Thanks Tommy
HELLLLL YEA! bro this is still all new to me. Ive loved everything ive heard.
One of the top 3 drummers in the world. He goes ham on toxic garbage island. Live is even better
They blew my mind in 2006, when I first time saw them live and actually heard them the 1st time. Instant love.
dude, I gotta seem em!
Just to let you know, because you are wondering if they "really" are that great in live ... well, yes, they are.
They explained multiple times that their creation process is always focused on creating songs that they can actually play live without loosing quality and/or that are even better in live than on the album.
And it is the case, their lives are like ... impossible to explain, like you can't even compare them to any other bands tbh ...
I saw them in 2002 or smthg, 3 or 400 people in the crowd, it was insane. Saw them again last year ... was incredible ...
I mean, i saw lots of bands, even bands I loved more than Gojira at that time (Korn, Muse, Santana, IggyPop etc), but I always had to admit Gojira are, by far, the best live band ever.
I was at this gig, such an iconic venue for me, seen so many bands there. Mario is a killer drummer too. Gojira are infectious.
Saw them at Chicago open air 2016 and just about lost my shit lol. Amazing band to see
Gojira are so awesome live, man. Each performance is so tight and energetic. Great song!
Gojira is life. \m/
This song has a unique atmosphere...emotional❤
PRAY, live at red rocks. Should push the out of body experience further.
This was an experience for sure. Got swept away with that dreamy guitar melody and then they bring that brutal heavyness..., awesome.
You said it best!
Just an FYI you're the only person on RUclips going over Gojira content.
Please don't stop or we all have nothing to watch 😂. I've seen every Gojira reaction on RUclips. This band lyrically and emotionally has a lot to do with the things you mention in the intro so it definitely makes sense why you naturally enjoy it.
My favorite 3 songs are 'Space Time', 'The Axe' and 'Fire is Everything' (bonus- 'The Trails' for a super calming clean vocal experience). They have so much music it almost changes weekly for me to be honest lol. Great reaction sir! Best of luck and ill check in on them all!
Ohhh for real! well buckle up!!!
glad you're enjoying these guys. They've been one of my fav. bands since they released their first album. they're just SICK live. you needa see them.
One of my all time favorite songs. This show is top tier performances
This blew me away!!!!!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody the axe same show is another song like this. Brixton was a all time show
Next i would do Flying Whales or Explosia live at Brixton as well, keep them Gojira vids comin!! They’re too good!
The passionate people for metal! Because of what metal is in itself requires practice, discipline, and talent is the music of the reason! Timing, technique, creativity! Beyond the feeling
THIS is how a reaction video is supposed to be done : listening to the whole song, diving into it deeply, not pausing every 3 seconds in order to say dumb shit. Pausing all the time absolutely kills the mood and the groove of a tune.
Much love my friend! I actually hate when reactors do that! I rarely pause and if I do, its only ever once during the song.
Now you need to do Pray, live in Red Rocks
you need to check out the song Only pain live at red rocks next, masterpiece
That was a unique sound and vibe. They started with and continued it through the whole song. Awesome song! ❤ and ✌️
It's impossible not to headbang to Gojira. \m/
Clone is probably gojira's heaviest track, the studio version is great and if you want to do the live version do the vieilles charreus version. might be the craziest live playing of a song ever.
I can't wait to get to those!
I've been listening to Gojira for about 17-18yrs and FINALLY got to see them live last year. Probably the best live band I have ever seen!
Wow I bet it was amazing! Glad you got that experience!
Yes!! I’m so glad you keep reacting to Gojira! Nice man! 🤘🏼
Freaking loved this song dude!
1) Pray, Live at Red Rocks. 2) L'enfant Sauvage (the Wild Child), Live at Red Rocks. 2 absolute must-see (or must-experience rather).
Kvalitatīvs treks.🇱🇻❤
without a doubt a banger
You're a banger!
Next one -) Gojira - where dragons dwell live Hellfest.
Axe live please. Gojira❤
They KFA in person!
love your reactions!! very nice vibe 🤘🤘 I hope to see your reaction of where dragons dwell at hellfest next time, probably my favorite live performance ever... heavy af!!!
oh dude that sounds heavy! You got it!
I'm liking this before watching - because I already know
bahah this was an amazing ride!
I need to properly dive deep into Gojiro. This was awesome 🤘
Omfg that just changed my life
Epic live performance
RIGHT!
Yeah my reaction exactly ... including the holy sh**s. lol They are mind blowing. Super Mario Duplantier is in fine form here. For me, this is a spiritual experience. Chills. I love the drop.
It was unreal!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Best new band I've ever experienced. My sons introduced me to them. They have seen them live several times. I'm in my 60's so this type of concert is a bit much for me. Mosh pit would kill me lol Glad for RUclips.
I'm not seeing Stranded or L'enfant Sauvage, both will melt your face, Oroborus is phenomenal, and I'll second all the other recommendations on here, Classic era In Flames, Whoracle, Colony, Clayman, i love all of In Flames work, but IMO those three are the best. And more Lorna Shore
@RTard-pc8et so is your face, but you don't hear us complaining
Remembrance by Gojira!!!
can't go wrong with Gojira. although it sounds like an adversisement for the Software From Hell: "Go Jira" and go broke :)
(my favorite part of an Gojira song is the beginning of Global Warming)
haha love it, and yea I remember that similar melody from global.
Good morning from New England...I love this live version of this song and the whole Brixton show is worth watching in its entirety Especially the song BACKBONE...I'm a drummer of 41 yrs and it took me 2 months to transcribe and learn to play this song lol I've seen Gojira 8 times most recently about 5 months ago in Portland Maine and they ALWAYS put every ounce of energy into each song and Joe's voice takes on some new dimensions live that don't come across on tape Thx for vid man ✌️🤘🧐
Dude, I gotta see em live! This was amazing!!!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody I'm 51 and have seen over 800 shows as an audience member since age 13 and as a musician I've played 200 live shows since age 15 and Gojira put on the best high energy show coupled with a Floyd-like light show and a good amount of pyro that I've ever seen See them if you ever get the chance man ✌️🤘🧐
🤘🤘🤘
And he hasnt heard the heaviest matter of the universe yet. Studio or same live
I can't wait!
Check out flying whales Studio version
I was a huge Gojira fan...and than I heard Hypno5e(offensively underrated French band). You think Mario is a good drummer? Check out "On the Dry Lake" by Hypno5e. I can promise you that you will loose IT! If you compare the two bands, Gojira sounds like a mainstream light-ish version of Hypno5e. Just check them out, dude.
Sorry, I'm a live music hater lol. Album versions are always 10x better
