Whiligigs are SO wonderful to build ..a part of all of us who love to giggle while it whirls around doing some of the things we all do daily. Wished everybody who can bend a wire.. would turn their spare time..into making somebody somewhere. ..smile and stare!
Most Amazing, Inspiring artistry I have seen in a while... This makes me Happy and laugh.... I wish my dad was still alive to help me create many more!!!!!
It was a wonderful gathering and a superbly organized festival. Too bad the photographer didn't capture one of the most intriguing entries with gears and cams, the People's Choice, "The Girly Wigs of Shelburne"
Are there any books or sites to advise on how to make these? I've always loved them and seen some beautiful ones... hints and tips greatly appreciated.
Some thought provoking displays. Unfortunately, many camera angles (especially the two shown sideways) don't give us much of a view of the entire machine. Otherwise, a good clip on the scenic boulevard of Dock Street.
Love whirligigs. The pictures and video from this festival are atrocious. Why am I turning my head 90 degrees to see what I am looking at? Trying to understand what I am looking at just makes me somewhat angry.
