Come on, he is barely OP due to his AI. His path finding breaks if there is anything breaking his line of sight, even a sheargrub corpse, then he forgets and wanders around the arena again. You wait for him to turn around, spam throw, and he gets stuck in a loop of his getting up animation. It sounds like a big you problem if you even see the Biden Blast after you get used to the boss fight.
The Beady Long Legs from the first game can be pretty brutal, with its 5000 hp and fast movements. The Baldy Long Legs from Pikmin 3, surprisingly enough, i found to be pretty challenging. Especially if you don't have any wing or rock pikmin with you, or if you fight him in an awkward area (Tropical Forest, cough cough). Clips of him crushing dozens of Pikmin at once is definitely not uncommon.
Pikmin 3's Hairy Long Legs has something fucky going on. Every time I replay 3, I have a hard time with it, especially the one in the Distant Tundra. I've tried what speedrunners do with Winged Pikmin, but it always takes zero damage and immediately shakes them off as soon as they touch it.
The Pikmin 3 arachnorbs have a very interesting AI that purposefully aims the feet closest to the player to stomp directly at them, so the key is to throw Pikmin at a distance from the feet and whistle them as soon as possible when shaking off.
arachnorb bosses always feel mildly like a game of luck as its first few stomps can catch you hella off guard and kill half your squad. Not to mention it can kill a bunch of them just by showing up

Personally I think the Segmented Crawbster is a great 'late-game' boss fight. There is so much that this boss can do to you that it really does demand you pay attention. His speed is enough to actively outspeed Pikmin which not even the Waterwraith can match, its size means its not going to be easy to strafe out of the way and the rock attack means you have to carefully position yourself after you successfully knock him out, if you are greedy and try to get too much damage, he'll swipe and deflower your pikmin making further attacks harder to avoid. Contrast this to Raging Long Legs who is just _Fat Beady Long Legs who needs damn jellyfish in his arena to pose a threat..._
Pikmin 4 not only has a boatload of tools to make things easier for you, but it even lets you straight up cheat. Since you can just leave a cave whenever you want without any punishment, you can just leave and re-enter to reset the water wraith's timer. So you really don't even have to engage with the wraith, even if you're slow. They even let you run straight for the exit on every sublevel while ignoring all the enemies and treasure, beat the wraith on the final floor, and then when you enter the cave again, the wraith doesn't even spawn anymore. Ever. So you can just casually collect everything with no lurking danger. It's a joke. In general, the fact that you can just leave a cave at any time without losing ANY progress is baffling to me. Not even the nectar drops despawn when you leave! I get wanting to make things a bit less stressful, but at that point you might as well just let the onion come with you underground. If it's no longer an endurance test, not even a mild one, why even have a cave? It's like a vegan eating a fake hamburger. They don't actually wanna eat meat, but they still wanna feel like they are having the experience. That's what Pikmin 4 caves are like. For people who want to feel like they are beating a gauntlet of challenges, without actually taking the training wheels off. You feel like you accomplished something when you beat a cave in pikmin 4, but in reality you were never in any actual danger, so if you're honest with yourself, it feels like a hollow victory.
@@CrackedDylMil I mean, it takes like 10 seconds. So if you lost a bunch of Pikmin in battle, you can just leave, go back in and it lets you fill your squad back up right away.
It's a different approach to difficulty. Pikmin 3's hardest struggles are puzzle bosses; figuring an enemy out is the hard part, the execution is consistently pretty easy. Meanwhile, the enemies in 4 can and do comprise a gameplay challenge of execution, especially if you choose not to engage with the depth of tools offered in the shop or upgrade Oatchi for combat.
@@elijahpadilla5083just riding on oatchi trivializes the water wraith which was such a threat in pikmin 2 because you only had a spreadout squad that was controlled through swarming and always had stragglers. Personally the effective removal of swarming from the games, and with it any importance to squad management, is a major blow to their quality and difficulty potential.
I feel like Pikmin 4 should have the ancient sirehound, especially the brutal final phase. It also has the some of the most health of any enemy in the series and is immune to most cheese methods.
@@Goomba456 yeah but I can understand Emperor since he went through “revisions” and Plasm is the only other threat in 3, but Titan I would’ve skipped since he’s exclusively a final boss in the hardest game of OP enemies
Yeah, that fight took me over 15 minutes. Did I forget I could use glow pikmin? Yes. Did I get an extinction and have to do the fight all over again? Several times. It was especially hard for me because I am afraid of dogs and I felt like it could sense and was exploiting my fear.
I don't know why so many people don't talk about this, but the Man-at-Legs got buffed *a lot* in Pikmin 4. For starters, its AI is far more advanced and plays a bit with how it shoots. The arenas now have destructible walls and it can get quite tricky to hide idle Pikmin, especially since the creature now shoots at a slightly higher angle. All of this would make for a challenging boss fight, if it wasn't for Oatchi's existence. In regards fo Hey! Pikmin, Fireflinger Groinks, and *Crumbugs especially* are hellspawns.
@@GamingEelektross Thanks for the answer! I still prefer the original name, just sounds better. I can kinda see why they changed it. Should have just changed it for the EU region.
Fucking BASED. There should be more people refusing to go along with Nintendo's renaming and sticking to their guns by continuing to call them Wollywogs.
Yeah, I don't care what some dinky island folk say "wog" means. Maybe it would be different if they had that whole Jynx situation going on but they're literally white.
beat pikmin 1 a while ago and am currently going through pikmin 2 so I can watch your cave ranking video without spoiling myself. keep up the content kang
Joe Biden was honestly the hardest boss in the series. The attack where he sniffs up your Pikmin is almost impossible to dodge, and don’t get me started in phase 2 when he calls in the Secret Service.
Pikmin 4 and Elden Ring share one similarity.. they have the most strong enemies in the franchise, but your character is also a lot stronger then previous entries. At least from what I personally seen or heard.
I had much trouble with Cavernous Wollyhops (the ones in Forrest Navel) in pikmin one, mainly because blue pikmin and because I was used to the pikmin 3 ones that are easy as hell
Something I don't see people talk about is that Purples do have a special effect on the Pileated Snagret. If you throw one on the ground while it's hopping it will stun it for a very short amount of time. I've used this mechanic to make the fight a bit less tedious.
I didn't even know people thought the Pileated Snagret was a hard boss fight. On the other hand I'd move the Man-At-Legs up a tier at least because it can kill purples very easily and the Quaggled Mireclops frustrates me so bad it would be in guaranteed misery for me.
I know they are not overpowered by any means, but i remember that by the earliest days of Pikmin 3, the Peckish Aristocrab was considered a "hard" enemy solely because of: 1. He lives by the water 2. He dodges the charge
The Titan Dweevil can be made far easier if you go into the fight with just your yellows, hiding all your other Pikmin in the entrance hole, and attacking everything except the Shock Therapist.
And even on the GameCube version they don't have a kill limit the way that a bulborb can only eat 5 pikmin per attack. If you squeeze all 100 pikmin into a wollywog's shadow, all 100 will die to a single attack. And the fact the counter is "swarm with 100 pikmin" should justify its placement. In a game about multitasking and "dandori", commiting all your resources to a single target is a big deal.
Honestly if not for Pikmin 2's instant win options, Bitter Spray and Purple Pikmin, I would be inclined to move the Gatling Groink up a tier, and even then I'm tempted because those things have a lot going for them. While sure on their own they may.not be that bad and such, being a late game enemy those assholes are rarely ever alone, spawning with hoardes of other enemies, so your best hope id to judt try and lure it away and murder it on it's own then carry back it's corpse wuickly because guess what it also regenerates. Plus honestly the Gatling Groink's reputation I think helps it a gpod bit, while I'm not sure if it should count, I feel like hesring those footsteps makes you well aware of whst you will have to deal with and on the look for those things the entire time while they lurk, as if you're back in thr submerged castle or something. Plus the devs thought it would be hilarious to place some of them on sniper towers, so, wooo. Still though, lot of ups, but Pikmin 2's buffoonary could balance it and the rest out I'd say. Also the Segmented Crobster warrants it's spot, I'd say it's pretty.much the only enemy in the series that full on requires extensive use of spicy sprays in order to counter it, since otherwise your pikmin will get run over like Brian Griffin or something. Gotta be planned in advance for this one.
I think the wraith in 4 probably only goes to strong. Oatchi just about makes it harmless to your followers, and its lower speed makes it easier to collect any stragglers. Not to mention, Oatchi's speed means it might not even get a chance to spawn at all. Really it just turns into a game of looking around sometimes and babysitting your Pikmin.
It is I, the jolly wolly. My big ol hop will make you sorry. I think the reason the wollywog feels overpowered is because he's just like. A dude. A frog. He doesn't feel like something that should be able to murder half your squad so quickly if you mess up. Big boss and miniboss enemies like the groink or any large bulborb feel like they should be a challenge, and are a triumph to beat. Cannon beetles have an intimidating gimmick that gives them the sense that they should be scary and approached carefully. But the wollywog? He's just a big frog lump. Doesn't even use a scary pikmin-eating tongue. He's just a regular guy until suddenly he crushes all your pikmin. Sometimes even does so if you're whistling, because if you mess up the timing your Pikmin (which are very dumb and sometimes trip/go the wrong way) might end up under him regardless. The white one at least looks a little menacing in the gloom of caves, but the yellow one looks about as threatening as a rubber ducky. That's why it feels overpowered when he then instantly crushes all your straggler pikmin that didn't run fast enough after a whistle.
I think the Groovy Long Legs deserves an honorable mention due to how many people I’ve seen get demolished by him online. In addition, if he sprays your pikmin, they’re as good as dead since you can’t whistle them back; you gotta pray he doesn’t stomp on any. I’d also mention the Mysterious Lifeform (phase 1 Plasm Wraith), as, while you can get Olimar back from it if gets to him, you cannot outright kill it; the fear factor is also something to note.
I feel like spam is the only reason cannon beetles are that high, I'd lower them and groinks into "alright" and bring the Orange bulborb out of nowhere for alright as well. I think mireclops can be raised to strong as well, because it's feet are surprisingly finicky. I'd also argue that, P1 Sheargrubs are slightly OP, given the fact that they're treated like fodder enemies.
The Mireclops isn't hard at all you have winged Pikmin and spicy spray, just learn his ques and you're able to whistle the wings into flying so they can't get crushed with the bonus of being thrown instead becoming of planted unlike rock pikmin, so you can actually continue to whistle if they do get thrown into a pool of water and they'll instantly get out and go back to you. The fights in those games would last seconds if it wasn't for the invincibility frames.
The mireclops actually can crush winged and rock pikmin, which is dumb and annoying. If it weren't for that, then yeah, winged pikmin would invalidate him harder than any other boss in the game. IMO, it's feet are finicky enough that fighting it requires more strategy and precision than anything in the strong tier if you want a deathless run.
@@nyon7209Absolutely agree getting platinum deathless is so fucking tedious his feet are super tanky when using the blues it gives you and the moment the reds touch a body of water it cancels their charge and leaves them vulnerable to being crushed which sucks since sometimes he'll charge for like three cycles making the entire half of the map water.
I didn't even know people disliked the Canon Beatle larva, i use them to kill other enemies and eachother, and often the red ones can kill themselves. Basically they make a floor easier not harder, they shouldn't even be on the teir list.
@@jasonreed7522 They're a very 50/50 enemy. they make dealing with other enemies easier, assuming those enemies aren't immune to boulders or flying, but are frequently paired with cramped spaces, or those types of enemies, which limits their usefulness, and increases their danger.
9:34 I think you forgot the pikmin 2 and 4 orange bulborb. Orange bulborbs from these games can be VERY tricky to deal with if you are cornered by them. They are faster than other bulborbs and wake up within a five mile radius of anything happening so it’s nearly impossible to sneak up on it. They also go back to sleep in different spots, unlike his red cousin, the orange bulborb will chase you farther and for that will sleep at an entirely different spot so if you’re not careful he can really be a challenge for you, especially if they are in groups.
I think the arctic Shaggy long legs is the hardest ennemy in the franchise,i mean look at him ! Look at how he stomps pikmin ! Its alredy over for them even before he jumped on the field !
You can actually use a Bitter Spray on a Volatile Dweevil to temporarily cut the fuse for the bomb-rock, giving you even more time to get away. The bomb-rock does take about 5 seconds to explode but if you need more, there’s no shame. Really, this trick is just for emergencies.
I think that considering that you can do a combo of spicy spray, purples, oatchi, and a bomb, the sovereign should be beaten by the pikmin 4 empress, but it's debatable because of the extremely easy kingdom of beasts fight and the evil cavern for a king fight.
The water wraith in Pikmin 2 has an easy cheese strategy though. All you need to do is hug the wall with your team and it will miss you, and it works almost every time as long as it doesn't try to turn. Also, you can just position a captain in some spot it can't access and it will only go after them, leaving the other captain to navigate the dungeon in peace. It can even be a boon in a few situations, as it destroys *everything,* including traps and enemies. And you might say that you wouldn't know these on your first playthrough, but I found all of these in minutes, and it's not like I'm particularly good at finding exploits.
the walking fish thing that shoots at you, hate those dudes at least they have a warning sound to listen out for, that big crab boss though i literally one shot him yesterday without any casualties, no idea how none of my purples got hit by falling rocks it took one spray and 35 purples to take him out in 2 cycles.
I feel mat at legs had a simmilar deal as the emperor in 2. Easy in the first fight but more dangerous in later battles with less cover and a smaller platform. His throw distance isn't a none issue
Personally i dont think Biden deserved the 'Very Strong' spot. Sure his stomp attack can ruin your run if you're not careful, but his hitbox is so huge, you dont need to think about much else.
God, I remember accidentally triggering the Smoky Progg and not even realizing it. I was away from my base and suddenly noticed a fuckton of my Pikmin dying and I came back to...that thing stomping around killing all my planted Pikmin and it ended up wiping out ALL my Pikmin as I tried to figure out how to kill it And that was my only interaction with that fucker
The Sovereign Bulblax is so weak, if you feed it a bomb rock then charge with Oatchi with a moderately sized squad it goes down quick. Also feeding bombs to it are super easy, and the player and Pikmin are not at risk since the bait and switch mechanic.
@@Maxencedek26 Yeah, but my point is this is the weakest the Bulblaxes have ever been. They've been on a downfall in terms of difficulty since the first Pikmin.
What do you think of the Gildemander? I don't think he's BROKEN by any means, but he's so tanky and has an attack with no Pikmin kill cap that one mistake and you're fucked. I also feel the Long Legs from Pikmin 3 should get some credit.
I remember as a kid the pikmin 1 snagrets always used to scare me, it fucked me up so much that when I played 2 I was so scared of boss floors Cus I didn’t know if it was going to be one, some trauma is carried with those feathered fucks
1:08 I literally just finished Pikmin 1, I was afraid of them at first, then realized they're extremely easy to kill with the right timing 2:28 I realized that the bombs make the fight much harder, It's easier to just do slow damage with small groups of 10 pikmin
Not to mention the Monster Pump being able to hit anywhere on the floor--even outside the arena. So if you only bring yellows to the main arena, you'll still have to account for the rest of your Pikmin who can still be hit.

If you're having a hard time with the Monster Pump use the geyser room and you'll be able to whistle running Pikmin so they won't die, use the ramp in his areana for a height advantage when throwing purples so their homing attack locks onto the the shock therapist and now you have a worse plasm wraith.

Smokey prog feels like it should be powerful since it’s more or less an optional super boss and there’s a still a decent strategy if you know what you’re doing
Not sure why the armored cannon beatle isn't on this list. He is a NIGHTMARE for first time and casual players. If you don't know that you are supposed to clog his nostril, or if you don't know the timing, he's going to steamroll more than half of your Pikmin every time he spits a boulder at you. Not to mention he regenerates, which means if your not clogging his nostril almost every time, you might not be able to defeat him before you run out of Pikmin. And if you run back and grab more he's going to regenerate a third of his health at least.

I just recently played Pikmin 1 again and witnessed that invulnerability head on. That was cheap af! For the Smoky Prog i had a different approach this time. Normally I threw Pikmin on it's forehead when it stayed near a onion. This time I gathered all the bombs in the area, wait until it stands still and does it's shockwave and throw bombmin at it to chip down it's healt way easier and safer.
TIL the wollywogs are considered OP. Once I figured out how to swarm them, they became mostly a non-issue. Also fuck that water wraith. It haunts my dreams,
this list is ok I do feel 4's water wraith should be a bit lower it bis nerfed by the fact that the engulfed castle is far to easy and easily cheesed. I must admit the plasma wraith and quagledmireclops though they are a lot more fun and have better mechanics I find them to be a lot easier than 2's Manat legs. Also I find that it is an insult to put Joe Biden in the very strong category he is by far the hardest enemy in the Pikmin franchise for no reason.
Honestly a lot of pikmin 4 bosses would be significantly better if oatchi didn't exist. The reason is oatchi can carry your entire squad which compresses the swarm and trivializes squad management. In contrast to pikmin 1 and 2 where the swarming trumpet was the only way to control your squad that would naturally be spread out. This makes a lot of bosses and enemies harder because you use the same thumb to throw, whistle, and move/swarm pikmin out of danger. You inevitably had stragglers and this still kills pikmin even for experienced players. For the pikmin 1 beady longlegs i would often only bring about 10 pikmin at a time because any more would get squished. Similarly the waterwraith, man-at-legs, and smokey prog all primarily got kills on stragglers, and many more bosses rely on poor swarm management to get their kills. In contrast, in pikmin 4 you simply get 100 pikmin, ride oatchi, auto lock on to the boss and run circles around it mashing A and it dies. None of your pikmin are every in danger for this process, and since you don't get any other swarm management tools until after defeating the final boss, you can't even handicap yourself by intentionally playing the old way.

You feel like you accomplished something when you beat a cave in pikmin 4, but in reality you were never in any actual danger, so if you're honest with yourself, it feels like a hollow victory.
the real punishment for leaving a cave is the tediousness. If you're willing to do all that shit just to cheese a cave then have at it.
Who even leaves caves early anyways? Its easier to just do it all in one go. The enemies and bosses aren't even hard and the waterwraith is a joke.
@@CrackedDylMil I mean, it takes like 10 seconds. So if you lost a bunch of Pikmin in battle, you can just leave, go back in and it lets you fill your squad back up right away.
Veggie burgers are yummy
I never left a cave and I don't think people do this. Just hit reset when many pikmin die
This channel has made me go from a “passing interest” level to “Oh boy another upload!” excitement in the span of a month.
Absolutely shits on Pikmin 3 for its difficulty, then puts 4’s water wraith and smoky prog on the upper half of the tier list 😂
True but it’s the final boss which is to be expected
@@Nic_2751 I mean literally every final boss other than the ancient sirehound is on this list LMAO
@@Goomba456 yeah but I can understand Emperor since he went through “revisions” and Plasm is the only other threat in 3, but Titan I would’ve skipped since he’s exclusively a final boss in the hardest game of OP enemies
also as far as I know the only enemy in all of Pikmin 4 to have a damage cap per stun, which makes it's metric fuck ton of HP last even longer.
Yeah, that fight took me over 15 minutes. Did I forget I could use glow pikmin? Yes. Did I get an extinction and have to do the fight all over again? Several times. It was especially hard for me because I am afraid of dogs and I felt like it could sense and was exploiting my fear.
Bulbears in Pikmin 1 are easy as hell if you swarm them from behind. Bulbears in Pikmin 2 still give me PTSD flashbacks.
I understand why the name was changed, but it still feels weird hearing "Wollyhop" said out loud
Why do you understand what it was changed? I prefer the original name

I hate the way wollyhop sounds. They’ll always be wollywogs to me
Fucking BASED. There should be more people refusing to go along with Nintendo's renaming and sticking to their guns by continuing to call them Wollywogs.

Joe Biden was honestly the hardest boss in the series. The attack where he sniffs up your Pikmin is almost impossible to dodge, and don’t get me started in phase 2 when he calls in the Secret Service.
His Biden blast though…

Pikmin 4 and Elden Ring share one similarity.. they have the most strong enemies in the franchise, but your character is also a lot stronger then previous entries. At least from what I personally seen or heard.
Been loving the quality Pikmin content!
I had much trouble with Cavernous Wollyhops (the ones in Forrest Navel) in pikmin one, mainly because blue pikmin and because I was used to the pikmin 3 ones that are easy as hell
Without knowing how to rapidly switch captains, the Ranging Bloyster is a force to be recaned with.

Something I don't see people talk about is that Purples do have a special effect on the Pileated Snagret. If you throw one on the ground while it's hopping it will stun it for a very short amount of time. I've used this mechanic to make the fight a bit less tedious.
for pikmi 2 you forgot Louie
I didn't even know people thought the Pileated Snagret was a hard boss fight. On the other hand I'd move the Man-At-Legs up a tier at least because it can kill purples very easily and the Quaggled Mireclops frustrates me so bad it would be in guaranteed misery for me.
Your list is pretty on point, but you missed one...
Water Dumple number one for guaranteed misery
Watching videos like this makes me realize that my sense of difficulty is messed up since I've no deathed all these games.
I know they are not overpowered by any means, but i remember that by the earliest days of Pikmin 3, the Peckish Aristocrab was considered a "hard" enemy solely because of:
1. He lives by the water
2. He dodges the charge
This guy forgot to include the dwarf bread bug or whatever from Hey Pikmin!
I'm pretty sure he absolutely hates that game.(also 11 months late)
The Titan Dweevil can be made far easier if you go into the fight with just your yellows, hiding all your other Pikmin in the entrance hole, and attacking everything except the Shock Therapist.
Main thing about the terror of Pikmin 1 wollywogs is that, well
The wii version, with the crushing glitch. Made them far scarier.
Groink hits different when trying to get Louie’s dark secret
In Pikmin 4’s Engulfed Castle, it’s actually possible to 100% the cave and still never see the water wraith until sublevel 5
One thing I love about the smokey progg in 4 is that they made its gloom look like the gloom from tears of the kingdom.
One of the best Piktubers out there
I think that considering that you can do a combo of spicy spray, purples, oatchi, and a bomb, the sovereign should be beaten by the pikmin 4 empress, but it's debatable because of the extremely easy kingdom of beasts fight and the evil cavern for a king fight.
Most enemies in Pikmin 2 are so tedious to deal with
the wollyhop is probably a lot harder for me due to the fact that I still can't figure out how to swarm and have to throw the pikmin
2:58 puffy blowhog in the background tho
God, I remember accidentally triggering the Smoky Progg and not even realizing it. I was away from my base and suddenly noticed a fuckton of my Pikmin dying and I came back to...that thing stomping around killing all my planted Pikmin and it ended up wiping out ALL my Pikmin as I tried to figure out how to kill it
And that was my only interaction with that fucker
the wollywog
The Sovereign Bulblax is so weak, if you feed it a bomb rock then charge with Oatchi with a moderately sized squad it goes down quick. Also feeding bombs to it are super easy, and the player and Pikmin are not at risk since the bait and switch mechanic.
Yeah but most of the enemies in the game will die to that, that's how op oatchi is
@@Maxencedek26 Yeah, but my point is this is the weakest the Bulblaxes have ever been.
I remember as a kid the pikmin 1 snagrets always used to scare me, it fucked me up so much that when I played 2 I was so scared of boss floors Cus I didn’t know if it was going to be one, some trauma is carried with those feathered fucks
cant believe you didnt add the spectralids, smth. Lost all my pikmin to one because it spawned 20 cannon beetles.
1:08 I literally just finished Pikmin 1, I was afraid of them at first, then realized they're extremely easy to kill with the right timing
2:28 I realized that the bombs make the fight much harder, It's easier to just do slow damage with small groups of 10 pikmin
fun fact about the fiery bulblax: if you sneak up from behind you can easily kill them with purple spam without any losses
Agreed with everything except titan dwevil-
The fact the guy has an instant wipe for any non yellows should at least push em up a rank
Not to mention the Monster Pump being able to hit anywhere on the floor--even outside the arena. So if you only bring yellows to the main arena, you'll still have to account for the rest of your Pikmin who can still be hit.
@@shukuchishikeishuu9540
Ah yes that accursed hydro pump
I still remember the jingle that plays when it’s raining down artillery on my backup force by the geyser so many moons ago
Ya'll are so over dramatic about the titan dwevil he is as easy to cheese as the plasm and water wraith is; he never leaves the arena and his instant death attack has an obvious tell and wind up before he does anything. If you're having a hard time with the Monster Pump use the geyser room and you'll be able to whistle running Pikmin so they won't die, use the ramp in his areana for a height advantage when throwing purples so their homing attack locks onto the the shock therapist and now you have a worse plasm wraith.

I’m not talking about em from the perspective of *hardcore Pikmin gamer* , I’m talking about his first time encounter after getting through the hell that is dream dens many levels
It doesn’t matter if there’s ways to cheese em, hell there’s a way to cheese the lobster but they’re still up in difficulty here. To add emphasis to my first main point though: the physics on the electric jacks is absolutely nutty and I’ve had it happen where it manages to bounce outside of the little crater arena. That’s terrifying I don’t care who you are if you’re chuggaconroy or w/e that’s some crazy jank and I’m all for it
I agree. The titan dwevil is definitely at least one higher tier of difficulty with his electric attack. Took kid me a lot of resets to be able to beat him, and I see the same with a lot of newcomers to the series as well.
The most overpowered enemy in the entire Pikmin franchise is Louie.
I know why i am not in this video, its because there is an off screen tier above guaranteed misery where i am the only one in ! Because i am obviously OP.
Man at legs deserve to be higher, sure it can be dealt with a simple cover to hide from but the first time 8 year old me and my younger brother fought it in challenge mode we were not ready and didn't know what to do
Smokey prog feels like it should be powerful since it’s more or less an optional super boss and there’s a still a decent strategy if you know what you’re doing
You forgot the most annoying in me in Pikmin the bumbling snitch bug
Not sure why the armored cannon beatle isn't on this list. He is a NIGHTMARE for first time and casual players. If you don't know that you are supposed to clog his nostril, or if you don't know the timing, he's going to steamroll more than half of your Pikmin every time he spits a boulder at you. Not to mention he regenerates, which means if your not clogging his nostril almost every time, you might not be able to defeat him before you run out of Pikmin. And if you run back and grab more he's going to regenerate a third of his health at least.
The most overpowered enemy is Louie
In Pikmin 4 I destroyed the man-at-legs in seconds, I just spiced up my wings and spammed charge. Easiest boss ever.
Bulblax on Pikmin 1 doesn't need bombs, and is pretty easy to bait out his tongue, chuck Pikmin on his lips and do a ton of damage
Groovy should've been in there, the first time i played pikmin 4 he was hard bc i didn't know he could hypnotize the pikmin and he killed a good amount of them. Beady also should be in there
I am shocked that the Gatling grink it’s considered difficult by anyone. I haven’t beaten this game but I’ve encountered them several times lost three pikmin on my first encounter with one that’s it.
One of my personal very strong ones: The Ancient Sirehound
sometimes you need a good bullshit enemy to make the player think about what their doing and not just stomp it with their decided pikmin squad
I don’t know when pikmin get killed and pikmin 1 they sometimes sigh instead of scream
I’m gonna be honest, I fought the Smoky Progg for the first time ever literally last night, and I was the one smoking him. I only lost 12 Pikmin.
I have had a bad experience with cannon larve that i recorded and put on my channel where the rock they shoot WENT OVER A WALL DIAGONALLY TO KILL my pikmin.

Those sheargrubs are insane, man.
Eh I see where you’re coming from
If you're like me and don't utilize any of Russ' fancy doohickeys and doodads, alot of these enemies/bosses can be a real pain in the ass.
Every time i see a wollyhop and try to fight is i lose at least 5 pikmin maybe because I'm used to pikmin 4's auto lock on
They're not Wollyhops they're WOLLYWOOOOOGS!!!
What about the final boss in pikmin four , the ancient sire hound
I just recently played Pikmin 1 again and witnessed that invulnerability head on. That was cheap af!
For the Smoky Prog i had a different approach this time. Normally I threw Pikmin on it's forehead when it stayed near a onion. This time I gathered all the bombs in the area, wait until it stands still and does it's shockwave and throw bombmin at it to chip down it's healt way easier and safer.
2:17 did I hear they correctly? 30K?
Yep 20k more then the second strongest enemy health wise.
3:00 this is getting out of hand. now there are three of them
I think plasm wraith should be at least strong cause the micromanaging can be a bit chaotic
Gotta say that the pikmin 3 bulbear shoulda been on the list
TIL the wollywogs are considered OP. Once I figured out how to swarm them, they became mostly a non-issue.
Also fuck that water wraith. It haunts my dreams,
You forgot raging long legs
You forgot Ancient Sirehound and Titan dweevil

not caligraphed
this list is ok I do feel 4's water wraith should be a bit lower it bis nerfed by the fact that the engulfed castle is far to easy and easily cheesed.
