Most ppl in the the wildlife state agencies dont even hunt or fish. In Pa ive scene this and talked with agents time after time. Most of the time the college courses and maybe they took led to nothing and they used their earth and environmental science degree to be a dcnr officer and basically are license checkers.
Pennsylvania did the same thing back then around the same time when they said they'd never do it again No they're doing it with all these doe tags Also as my dad and my grandfather and their buddy hunters would tell stories how How hunters were shooting up the woods hunter's walk up and if the deer wasn't big enough they just walk away and try to shoot a bigger one as you No You were only allowed 1 deer back Then in Pennsylvania
I'm good with going back to first week buck only second week both. And it's great to have the Saturday opener and Sunday hunt bc of work schedule but the revenue for small business is suffering bc of the change. Most would go to camp Friday afternoon and spend time and money in small towns until monday . Now it's all a rush. Just a thought. Good luck on your hunting and love for nature journey 👍
The way the Arkansas game and fish has handled CWD on Boone and newton county wiped out our deer population on the upper Buffalo not from CWD but from shooting deer for so called testing by Game and fish
Amen preach guys just like all these guys who want to bash on people using crossbows where it's legal. You know what that man/woman bought his/her tag he/she put in his/her time. He/she may not have thousands hours to put in to getting to be an ethical shot with a bow and a crossbow is a lot more effective in taking ethical shots at game. And you still have to get the animal in close enough to not buy into the hype of Raven 100-yard crossbows, but most people who use them won't shoot past 25 or 30 yards. Maybe stretch it out to 40 and on the rare occasion. 50 and there are still stupid people that will try 100 yd shop but there's very few a lot of them try to get the animals in as close as possible just like with the vertical bow. .. Especially for someone who's not experienced with the compound bow and we need to stop telling people what they should and shouldn't shoot if it's legal and it makes you happy, do it. Just like you guys are talking about what the buck size. You know no one should walk to another man/woman and tell him/her oh you should have given that deer two more years. It made him/her happy to shoot it and I'm about putting meat in the freezer. I have yet to find a recipe no matter how long I boil them no matter how much butter I put on them. No matter how much olive oil I'll put on them, I still can't get them horns soft enough to eat.... And you know a lot of these guys are also gun hunters that will shoot 700-800 yards at game. I don't think no matter what rifle setup you have, you should be taking any shot at game beyond at most 500 yards if you know your weapon. If it's perfect conditions for that long of a shot, you know what the wind's doing at the other side of your shot where it needs to hit the animal in doing a ethical kill. But that's okay with them. Cell cameras are okay with them. Baiting is okay with them but crossbows oh my god your scum if you use one and the only reason I'm so passionate about this is cuz I'm a long time gun hunter and bow hunter. But I tore my trap muscles this year and had to resort to a crossbow because me and my family have survived on 80% venison diet for our meat throughout the year for many years and I've gotten so much s*** from people because I look able-bodied but they don't know that I have torn trap muscles and can't draw back my hoyt compound... It's just a sad state of affairs that in my opinion social media is the biggest problem with why this all exists nowadays. But thank you guys. I enjoy your podcast and I really enjoy this one. Uncle Ted, you've been a hero and idle in my eyes for as long as I live. My dad had the long hair like you used to and reminded me so much of you!!! You rock on. You're great!!! You're someone who a lot of people should listen to take advice from. And an exemplary example of a conservationist
Ted continues to believe every management decision is predicated on impacts to and for game species-wrong! Yes, hunters are outstanding supporters, and they’re voice must be heard. But, wildlife belongs to all citizens, as stated.
Thank you Ted, Dan, and Steve. Outstanding video.

It's deer shaming to question a man or woman or a child's first harvest or a veteran hunter and it b.s.
That’s why in Florida the cockroach is coming to your house because it’s a source of water and food and they’re trying to escape the heat
You can probably get rid of those Zeber muscles by using table salt there’s snails or slugs
You take a little bit of molasses and you put it on the tree line towards your Deerstand
If you wanna have a successful deer hunt, you need to get a bag of corn from the feed store. It’s not baiting deer because you guys grow corn.
You should be camouflaging your Deerstand with Evergreen trees
Tide powder, laundry detergent, and water

You gotta learn how to lead the deer to you to your Deerstand

Do you wanna know why you shouldn’t be mad at woodpeckers in the woods because they eat as boring beetles
Dawn dish soap and water
A bear smell it in the woods and he’ll follow the trail of sweet molasses
Always hunt against the wind
When you go out into the woods, you need to roll around on the ground
Pour molasses on the corn
Or a heat gun from an auto parts store
You don’t have to use deer pee
See if it works on cockroaches, they breathe through their thorax
This is how you know why kids are getting leukemia
Should be a awesome news tips on how to hunt in pens.
