11:43 - ...do you guys not see whats happening here?? Shuma's eyeball assist apparently makes your point character quit blocking if it hits your assist while you're in block stun. Its a free guard break! How tf did we not know this?!

11:50 - HOW?! HE WAS BLOCKING! Wait didn't Justin say something about this a long time ago where cause you hit the assist with certain moves it guard breaks you regardless? Like I think it was something with Jin's Super making contact with the assist it guard breaks you?
Yea I'm guessing it's eye explosions are unlockable if they were connected to your your assist. Which is crazy! Eye assist isn't that bad either.

dude... so many monsters are hiding in the unknown... this was crazy to see, to see these kind of combos CAN still happen with other characters. I've seen them at a arcade in california years back with someone I use to call a friend but not anymore. He happened to be one of those monsters among the other ones when they were playing this game. XD Glad to see there are still unknown "masters" that can do crazy combos like these. Kinda reminds me of desk and some other ones.
That is Obviously Tool assisted. You can't Perform Light punches 2 times in a row without turning the other in a medium punch. And the speed of the game sells the TAS even further. The Silver Samurai can be done without and TAS, However him doing the Shuriken cancel proved that the Infinite is TAS'ed as well.
The hand in collar, bristle bush symphony, and mvc2 is pure peace for me
This guy is the Desk of MVC2. I am assuming though that all the combos done on Jugs and Senti only work on them due to size.

With the release of the Arcade Collection coming this year, all this new tech coming out, and all the Ratio System games/matches/tournaments that's happened since is there any thoughts of re-evaluating or tweaking the Ratio System with all the new knowledge gained?

Sadly the ratio system won't be included in game for obvious reason. Hope community can make a lot tournament based on it.
Coz ppl only using like 6 or so top tiers again and again will be boring.

Seems very unlikely they're going to add any patches to the ROMs. Every other game was pretty much exactly the way it was in the arcade

I could tell just by playing this game by myself that this game was way beyond MY comprehension lol…..I LOVED the roster but omg trying to play this game competitively, NO WAY, haha I’ll pass
No one found out these combos cause many players resorted to only using the same top tier characters. I quit playing MvC2 more than 16 years ago due to the excessive use of the same powerful characters by many players. The inconsistency in competitive play and the overwhelming amount of overpowered elements in the game made it impossible for me to make any progress in 2 player matches. Additionally, the constant abuse of partner assists every 3 seconds by players was another aspect that I didn't enjoy. Although I appreciate unbalanced fighting games to some extent, this particular game pushed me to rage quit multiple times, which is a rarity for me in the world of video games. Ultimately, it became too frustrating to continue playing, no matter how much I practice, at the end of the day.

These combos were made with TAS. Most of them are humanly impossibles.
It’s because after years playing UMvC3 and now going back to MvC2, we are applying the same mechanics we used on UMvC3 into MVC2; creating new combos, openings, unblockables,, okis, etc.
This game will never die.
It’s sad to see those who always pick top tier characters on mvc2 and miss out on the lower tier on what they have to offer. With TECHNIQUE, WORK, AND PATIENCE they can make any of the mvc2 characters shine. The top dogs focus on the top characters. If you took that away from them using the low tier characters they’ll flop and say HOW!? When I played in arcades I would say no flying characters and they would be hesitant but were up for the challenge. Then they would lose thinking they knew every characters “strength and weaknesses”. I would tell them when you’re up on the high ground you look down thinking you have the advantage. But if you are equal to your opponent on equal grounds, it’s a humbling experience. Fear not who does 100 different kicks once, fear the one who practiced 1 kick a hundred times. The meta is where it’s at I agree. You aren’t meta which I hope you can start a match with restrictions. No flying characters. See how high of them would fall.

Honest question @Justin - did you know anyone who would lab like this back in the day or did everyone just focus on their team synergy/strategy? I've owned this game since Dreamcast and never thought to make these connections. Was it MvC3 that was the inspiration?
