- Hi! This is the third video in my series showcasing all the cosmetic mods I add to my Arcade1up cabinets. in this video you'll see what I've added to my Outrun Arcade1up cabinet. what is that wood u put to cover the Kickplate ??? since this is a sit down cabinet it would be open area so i need to undersand how u cover it up ??? u think if i got a Kickplate from a normal arcade1up and put it there it will fit and fill the hole ?
I explained in video the kickplate is held in place by double sided gorilla tape stuck to the K panel that runs across below the control panel. The K panel that has the list of games on it. I bought a regular piece of 1/4" flat wood at home depot (i think it was 2' x 2' in size) and had them cut it to the size I needed to fit in the opening. For this cabinet specifically a regular A1up kickplate would not work because it is too long and there are no slots in the side panels to slide the kickplate in. If you have a router tool though, you could cut your own grooves into side panels and cut off the extra length of the kickplate to use it.
@@FROSTINATOR 😮 oh yah i never tought of that ur right there is no slots no groves for a normal kickplate to even slide in so ☺ it will not work at all for sure hehe ur right 😊 looks like i gota buy a Router tool i to have a arcade1up sit down cabinet new in box never opened it i bought it cause it was realy hard to get a stand up verson and i know the outrun cab are rare to see em selling in criglist facebook or even ebay i bearly see it at all so when i saw a sit down verson poped up i got it and said i could maby turn it into a stand up your video is amazing its just what i had in mind
@@princevinny0073 thanks man! Remember too the riser that comes with the stand up version is a 15 inch riser. Depending on your height a generic a1up 12 inch riser might be fine for you buy i made mine at the 15 inch height
Hey where did you buy the map plexiglass panel? I don’t see it anywhere. Would you sell yours since you don’t need it?

Oh so you cut the image from the riser and pasted it on a plexiglass? I have a sit down cab and would like to replace that blurry-wooden map panel that comes with it.
You should check out what I did to my sit down cab in my RUclips channel. I Don’t know if you ever heard of fresnels lens, but I put one on my screen and made the screen much bigger! I also mounted the cab on one of those Amazon driving simulator-metal frame and put a gaming chair with built in speakers on it.
@@retror.d.1630 correct. I would sell it but the plexi itself is being used too as it's keeping the 3D bezel height up a little. If i end up cutting another piece of plexi I will sell if you don't end up buying the graphic.

Trying. Haha, been taking care of my 5 week year old more. However yesterday i did finally buy some screws and bolts for the project. Going to work on it this weekend. I'm realizing though the bkack boxes i bought are going to need some modifications to fit the gun holsters on top a little nicer. Wish i had a 3d printer.
