    Hi, I have not tried making bottle cap pendants with stickers having used photo paper and 3m glue, so I can't say if that is part of the issue. When I make my pendants, I print my images on white card stock using a laser printer (I just go to the local office supply store and have them print for me on their lasers for .50 a copy). Then I use a white glue, such as Crafters Pick or Nunn Glue. I too place the sticker on the image, trim around, and then glue that to the bottle cap.

    You would definitely want to have some type of setting for the sticker to be set into. The stickers are flexible and I worry that they will be easily damaged without some support.

    Hello! I love your tutorial but I have one question. I have tried doing bottle cap earrings and have used "Aleene's jewelry & metal glue" to glue the epoxy with the image into the cap. However, I have "tested" them by leaving it to dry overnight and then dropping them on the floor (not too hard, just normal release and drop) and immediately the epoxy with the image pops out and leaves the cap behind! Am I using the wrong glue? I have also tried Elmer's glue but had the same results. I am new to this so any help is appreciated. Thank you! Have a great day :)

    I tried making some bottle cap pendants. And my images look wet in spots, I was told to use scotch 3m glue and photo paper for my images. I am using the epoxy stickers placing them on the image first then cutting. Placing glue in cap the inserting the image... my blacks look purple and whites look dingy I am not happy at all with the results.... Any suggestions on what to do to fix?

      Tenderfoot Art I know this is an old post but I came here looking for the solution to this exact problem. Have you had any success? Mine look wet in spots too.

    What size is the hole puncher

  • @emiayau9071

    In the video you show and say 1.25mm hole punch, but in the description box and in the comments you said 1.8mm. Which should I buy? Maybe both? Maybe 1.25mm for jump rings and earhook wires, and 1.8mm for use with split rings. Please let me know. I'm wanting to place an order soon.

      Emi Ayau Hi, I would actually recommend buying the 1.8mm one so that you can use it for more projects and various thicknesses of jump rings. I did use
      the 1.25 one but in terms of versatility, the larger size would give you
      more options for future use.

    Do you ever have problems with the sticker raising off the pictures? Or water getting behind them? Just curious before I try the epoxy stickers. Thanks in advance for your help.

      +DivaBClub Stickers are really fun but it is important to remember that they are stickers, and although strong, they do act like other stickers. You questions/observations are sound and yes, you do have to worry about water getting below the stickers so you will not want to get the sticker jewelry wet. Raising up can also be a problem if your surface is not entirely flat. If you want to the same look of the stickers but a bit more durability, I would suggest glass domes instead.

    The fact that your colors are off, makes me think that it has something to do with either the paper thickness, printing quality, or the glue. The stickers will dull the colors ever so slightly, but not to the degree that it sounds you like are dealing with.

    I have to ask how do you get the images to put on the bottle cap?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 года назад

      We used a collage sheet by Nunn Design which had a dozen or so images of Paris on it. You can also design your own with free images found online and print it on a good thick matte paper using a home laser printer. You could also get it done at a print shop, some of them will offer to help layout the images you want if you're not used to working with photo editing apps

    What glue do u use to put pic on bottle cap

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 года назад

      Crafter's Pick is a good choice for gluing photos and printed images to metal: beadaholique.com/products/crafters-pick-the-ultimate-permanent-glue-cement-adhesive-4-oz
      Nunn Design also sells an excellent white glue for this if you can find it. You can see it here, thought we haven't been able to get it in stock in awhile unfortunately: beadaholique.com/products/nunn-design-glue-adhesive-2-oz-for-patera-findings-1

    I would be much easier with a 1" hole punch instead of the sissors,but otherwise very cute earnings.
