I love whenever Jazza uses cheap art supplies because it really shows good art comes from skill, not supplies.

Yeah but the thing is he’s already good. Practicing to get food with good art supplies is way easier than practicing with bad art supplies. Well I shouldn’t say easier, but the result would be much better and the mistakes would be solely from the level of skill and not the supply so once you recognize your mistakes you can get better. Jazzy on the other hand already had a lot of practice with good art supplies so his skills with bad art supplies are enhanced. In addition, he has incredible talent and is very hardworking so his pieces turn out to be insanely good.

Nina Barakat I would think practicing with worse materials is actually better, as you will be prepared for more problems and most likely have a better ability to rely on composition and not effects.

@Dinne thats how it should be, good markers dont mean quality art. If you can sketch then you can do that with everything. ive seen alot of artists make impressive shit straight with a ballpoint pen where teens nowadays cant produce any quality with the most expensive art supplies haha

You have over expected of us artists. I do not think I am his level but being an artist from 1st grade to 21 years old I still cannot remember a lot of colors especially when people quiz me of colors with blue in them. For some reason that is the realm people like to question me in even though it does not mean i know red or yellow colors more than blue.

I’m an American and I’ve never heard of or seen connector pens before. My childhood consisted of thick ass Crayola washable markers that came in packs of 6. 😂

whenever i draw something good on paper i always want to add colour but i suck at colouring on paper and my artwork ends up looking like a rotten banana mixed with a unicorn
I know! I do a very good drawing and then I try to colour it and then it just looks ugly and stupid!

My humble suggestion: Make as many copies of your artwork as you need, so you work on them until you find something that pleases you

Only real kids grew up with those really thick washable crayola markers that came in like 6 colours.
Boiled Cheetos remember when your black would dry out and you’d be depressed? Or like when the black didn’t even look black, it looked blue?
And then you’d accidentally get black on your yellow marker and it was ruined forever.

Jazza! You should do a whiteboard challenge. You can use any markers and erasers, but no specialized art whiteboard markers. Just your classic Expo.

1) Use cell shading
2) Avoid large open areas
3) Avoid blending

it's a type of shading that you don't have to blend, it's more cartoony than realistic, it's simpler, and it's quicker.

Challenge- work with only color and no outline. Draw it in a way where it is complete on one side and not on the other and take a picture every so often and make a little stop motion animation with it being completed across the screen. I know it’s hard to understand but I tried my best to explain lol
